    As a probate investigator I would like to recommend that you not name your minor child as your beneficiary on a life insurance policy. They didn’t mention this.

    • @bettedavis9261

      I doubt they know.

      @chellybaby 17 дней назад +1

      Why not?

    • @Kate.8668
      @Kate.8668 17 дней назад +10

      @chellybaby if you name your minor as your beneficiary you will have to go through probate court, meet me and go through a lengthy investigation, set up a bond, etc. before you ever see that check. They love to say get life insurance if you care about your family. If you don’t want to leave them with more problems when they are grieving your loss don’t do this. The simplest way to avoid this is to name an adult who will care for the children.

      I have a trust set up for my son is that what you would suggest?

    • @Kate.8668
      @Kate.8668 10 дней назад +1

      @ yes. A trust is appropriate in the court’s/insurer’s eyes. It adds another layer of protection that the funds will be used to support the child and not be misspent. The bare minimum is to name a trustworthy adult as a beneficiary.

      @amireallythatgrumpy6508 13 дней назад

      Life insurance is to replace income if someone dies and someone else is relying on the money they earn. Children do not earn money - especially not money that the rest of the family relies on.

    damn dude I just tried to call in and basically got told my question wasn't good enough even though what I asked had everything to do with the show. I just wanted to ask how you'd go about forming steps to reach your end career trajectory, after waiting on hold for an hour, was told to call back and that they wouldn't be answering that question on that segment. I was a super large supporter of this show until I realized they are so quick to shoot down valid questions. makes me think Ramsey is a scam and a fraud just cherry picking questions and scenarios that look good for him on camera.
