Very underrated IMO
Tesla has a huge catalog of great songs. Most have not been heard on radio because they stay true to themselves. Edison’s Medicine, MP3, I Wanna Live, and the list goes on.
Edison's Medicine is the most "Skid Row"-ish song they have.
Seen them a few times they sound just like this live.
Check out “Modern Day Cowboy”, “Edison’s Medicine”, “Hang Tough”… virtually all of their songs are great.
1988 at a Tesla concert was the first date for my wife and I. We were married 2 years later and still going strong. This brings back so many memories. My generation (GEN X) is in my opinion the last of the old and good times. I miss them so much but the memories I would trade for nothing.

Born in 1970 man this really picks up the vibes of concerts in the mid 80’s-early 90’s…great band so good seeing the ladies looking fit feminine and agreeable no fats not tats and no excessive piercings….great times hot girls..
This band is awesome they were around in the '80s hair scene but they never were clam band which was cool they just wore regular jeans and t-shirts they let the music do the talking not their looks need to do more by this band they're HANG Tough is a good video WHAT YOU GIVE is good need to check them out
Tesla was a huge band for a while. This video was shot at a concert in their hometown, Sacramento, California. They still tour smaller venues. I am actually going to a country concert tonight at the same place (Cal Expo)...but the amphitheater in this video is long gone. 😕
One of the most underrated bands in the 80s.
Tesla has a lot of great songs… I guess my favorite is “Little Suzie”.. up until this year .. They would tour with Def Leppard alot.
Lots of great songs from them, this was a top 10 song at the time. Gotta do Signs even though it was a cover, it was top 5. They have a good variety of music from hard to ballad and a master of cover tunes to boot.
This song is meant to make one feel great. And it does just that. Mission accomplished.

Tesla is still going and still touring. Just a great all round Rock band. Frank Hannon is a beast of a guitar player. The intro to this song is a really nice Randy Rhoads influenced Classical guitar piece. But this band has so many great songs.

Tesla is one of the best bands in the world that nobody's ever heard of...(except the Die Hards out there) great band super talented but like someone else said very little radio play with the exception of this tune. unfortunately, back in the day no radio play, no success unless you were lucky enough to have a friend that bought an album of theirs, which i was , and became an instant fan!!!
Edison's medicine is they're best song. Hands down!
late 80's but they were a little more country and a bit less glam. they have tons of good songs and and endless string of rock hits. lead singer sounds similar to tyler.
If there's anything you take from this video that I feel you missed & most important. Is how Gen-X kid rockers really appreciated the music & party vibe we had altogether. Tesla is NOT a hair band. Hair bands are glam rock. Tesla is a good old blues based rock band.
Two Tesla songs you must listen to…”Changes” and “Hang Tough”…..”Modern Day Cowboy” was the first song of theirs which most people saw on MTV back in the day" Tesla was a headlining act in the late 80’s, early 90’s.
You should check out Comin at you live the live version. What an opening song, plus syncronisity of the quitar playing is killer. What a catalogue they have. Awesome band.

Tesla was not a "hair band" per SE. They were more akin to Kansas or Boston in the style which they played. A blues driven straight up rock band. In my top 5 all-time.

This video cuts off the acoustic beginning of the song. Tesla is a highly underrated bang for the period, probably because they're not a bunch of pretty boys.
Tesla was not a hair band. There are so many other songs they do that are really good, but people only recognize the songs from air play. Try hearing songs that weren't played on the radio.

He's got a great voice, Unique and raspy. Very metal indeed, Tesla was an amazing band especially live in concert. You had to be there I guess.

Yes, Tesla was an 80s band but didn't really get into the glam like Motley Crue or Poison, just straight rock. I was fortunate to watch them open for Def Leppard on their Hysteria tour and at that time I didn't know who they were either, but I soon became a big fan. They are still touring. I'll also suggest a couple other bands ...Tora Tora "Walkin' Shoes", Blue Murder "Jelly Roll", Great White "Save Your Love" you'll definitely here the blues influence in these.

This is a song for those folks, the ones we don't want to break their heart but we do anyway. :( Get it now? BTW, check out "Getting Better" or "Little Suzi" if you want more mainstream/don't have to think too much about the lyrics kinda tunes by Tesla. :)

You need to listen to Steve vai “for the love of god” or “tender surrender” he is a guitar god that plays instrumental songs. It’s like one long guitar solo but he makes you feel like there’s is words in the song. He makes his guitar do the talking.

@@AMusicianandaJerk Hey guys, Tesla put out a dvd from a 2008 concert there in Minnesota at the Myth. Not sure if that's anywhere near you guys but there's plenty of videos of it on YT. They do a great cover of the UFO song "Rock Bottom". I think you would both like it. I know Cullen will for the guitars alone. Also, "Song and Emotion" is a powerful one. In fact, she can cover that whole deep dive she wanted to do on them with this concert lol. 😁
