Jef, this is super useful. I work virtually exclusively with MIDI, and some quite complex files / tracks, this will save me a real bunch of time when editing. I had no idea it was there. Thanks a million!
Whoa - what a gem of a video! Great idea to highlight something less obvious. I don’t think I’ve ever even looked at this mode in Cubase. My next session, I’ll have to try shuffle mode for experimenting with arpeggios and other loop type material, both audio and midi. Thanks for the inspiration, Jef!!
I've been editing a multi-person podcast and using this approach is incredibly helpful. I'm wondering....have you ever considered doing a tutorial about best practices to employ when recording a multiple mic podcast? Workflow tips, best way to avoid/reduce/edit audio bleed, etc. Can't find much anywhere and you're the best anyway.
Jef, I love your videos and especially the way you explain things. You are a great communicator and educator. I continue to learn, learning with Jef.😅 I started music production with Cakewalk by Bandlab 18 months ago and changed to Cubase Pro at the beginning of the year. I will definitely use this and set up the key commands. Including the play at point key command, pro tip. You don't know what you don't know. Always watch videos on Cubase Key Commands, so would appreciate a 'Learning Key Commands with Jef' video. Very helpful with workflow. I see it working well with step input with midi. I didnt know about deleting silence either, very cool. Definitely bookmarking this one. Thanks again, great stuff, keep it up. ❤😊 Life is short, learn the trombone.🎺😎
Very usefull! Had some baselines in 1/4 but should be in 1/8. So A activated the shuffle mode (after seeing this vid) en select alle notes at once en shortened it to 1/8 and then.......all notes snapped together en gaps where filled!
Consider intensive growth in the snap to shuffle direction by posting more shuffle videos. There's no competition for this on RUclips. Monopoly status.

Thanks!! Great comments! So glad these vids are helping… and hey, I actually do spend a few minutes every day learning the trombone! ;)
Great stuff. Does anyone know if Audition has the 'shuffle' feature as well?
Cool! Thanks🙂

Nice! There’s so many creative ways to use these features!
Looked for swing found something better :D
Also, you can use logical editor to create specific gaps between each..
That’s a great tip!!
Midi shuffle could be a great way to make random sequences
Indeed!

Is that a 4k monitor (Tv) ? Tell us, please, at what resolution you use it.
Kind regards.
🙏
There’s a link to a vid on it in the description!
After 25 years how are there are still dark corners of Cubase I never looked into
How does NI feel about this? 🤔 😆
Why would they care??
