Most people don't know that Mick Mars is about 10 years older then all the other members of the band. You can see that spinal problem really limits his mobility but it's great he can still play and perform. Good for you Mick.,.keep rockin man!!

I also have Ankylosing Spondylitis, so i know how much he is suffering. The fact that he is up there playing is astounding. Much respect.

@Greg Hubbard Actually you are both wrong. Mick Mars was born in May in 1951 making him 68 years old. Nikki Sixx is 8 years and 6 months younger than Mick is. Vince Neil is 1 year and 10 months younger than Nikki. Tommy Lee is 1 year and 8 months younger than Vince. Do some more research before you say something. SuperPsychoterror is all that wrong, except for Nikki Sixx, but you are wrong on your information. Mick wasn't born in January of 1955. Check your facts.

I was there. 3 rows from the pit with my dad. One of the best concerts I've been to. It was epic. Vince's voice is better live than on camera. Its's just one of those things you need to see live instead of on the internet. It sucks to see them go. Crüe's badass dude, always have, always will be

It's kind of disturbing how many guys are concerned with Vince's weight. Who cares! The dude's a rock star and has lived the life of 10 men. He still sings fine and can hit the screams. It's not opera people. Just celebrate one of the last of a dying breed of rock bands that were actual stars.

we just saw them last Saturday night. They're still awesome!! I personally think life has been extremely difficult for Vince since his daughter, Skylar Lynnae Neil, died in 1995 at age 4 1/2 yrs. from cancer. She looked so much like her father.
I saw Vince recently on a show where he discussed how his life has never been the same since his daughter passed from cancer. He admitted to heavily drinking. The loss of a child is beyond anyone's comprehension.
He may be a Rock Star to the world, but to little Skylar, he was Daddy........
Please be thoughtful & understanding when criticizing him.

Great post Kitty, I agree.... I must add too that I seen Crue in St Paul MN on the final tour... truly... the BEST show I have ever been to period from any band!! When speaking to the crowd, Vince was emotional at one point and really stressed how much the band will miss all of us. Honestly, Vince sounds fine to me, OK he might not hit the high notes like he used to but SO WHAT, the band has given years of wonderful music to the fans and to me for fans to complain about Vince not sounding good or looking bad is really being small minded. No complaints here, thank YOU Crue for all the years of amazing music and all the great live shows. I'll be rocking out to Crue records for many years to come. Girls Girls Girls !!!!

      MrZombieIsHungry
that's where we saw them......St.Paul.......last Sat. night.
Thank You for agreeing w/me about Vince.
Seriously, TO ALL THOSE COMPLAINING about Vince's appearance & voice: do you look as good as you did 25--30 yrs ago, could you sing exactly the same??
I don't see many complaining about Mick Mars' appearance & arthritic hands.
None of us are out there performing night after night, so let's just all enjoy
      the show !!

MrZombieIsHungry thats the way Karma works , if you destroy a life , something " Ugly " goes back to you , Vince Killed a young guy , and life chrged that to Vince he lost her little child . im not creating histories , Karma is real guys believe me , be good , dont kill people , be nice with other people , dont be racists or homofobics , Karma is always watching your movements is more real than God .. and by the way , Im a big fan of the Crue , since the early days 1984 , I like this band , I dont hate Vince at all , Im just sharing my toughts .. kisses to all !!

I have ten tickets to this concert in Iowa, its sad, Vince is an awesome singer, this was A BAND, its sad that these guys will be going, but truthfully, even if the other band members, dont have the balls, to tell Vince he is gaining weight at taking parts of songs off, when everyone else is doing a great job.....I feel this band has things left, alot.... but Vince, which is a very important part just isnt getting done, everybody else is......

Vince gave up. That's all. I've seen it a thousand times. They are on they're way out and he's done! Wait a couple more years and he will be the first one we read about in the papers. To leave all that hard work behind is a killer. Been there and done it with the military. It's a life and some people like Vince know no other. I'm proud as hell for his accomplishments and also worry for his future. Take care man!!!

The Pittsburgh show was awesome! My only compliant was that Vince's vocals should have been higher in the mix. He sounded fine. I would have preferred that Vince lost a few more pounds, but he looked much better than he did on Kimmel when the tour was announced.

Coming from a older fan such as myself from mid 1983, Everything sounds awesome with the exception of Vince singing ( or trying to sing ) some of the words and some I don't know what the hell he is saying. Ya know he used to make fun of people that were over weight and older he used to say that they just quit cause they can't do it anymore well karma has a way of coming home to you. Tommy -Nikki - Mick all sound awesome and we all will miss you

Anyone else see the guy on the side of the stage holding a guitar? Is he working on it or playing it along with the band to add depth? Also, Mick admitted on That Metal Show that their background singing is like Britney Spears...

I read somewhere that Vince has thyroid trouble, hence the weight gain. I though he sounded fine on Jimmy Kimmel etc where he doesn't have to run around. He's clearly short of breath on big stages.

I have seen Motley Crue live at least 10 times... And although I did not go to this particular show. 1.) They played Anarchy in the UK/USA (whatever) instead of Looks That Kill. And 2.) That was the worst I have heard Mick and Tommy but most of that lands on the doorstep of one Vince Neil. His performances have NOTHING to do with him being Fat or overweight. They have everything to do with his lack of taking his 2nd MAIN job seriously. First is to Get and Hold the crowd for an entire show. That can usually pulls off fairly easily. The 2nd most important job for him is to ACTUALLY SING the god damn lyrics to the songs... Holy FUCK there is no mystery why Tommy, Nikki and Mick are done with Motley Crue. I think a certain ONE or TWO members wanted to leave Motley Crue before they decided to do this "Final Tour" together. I think Mick Mars and Tommy Lee both wanted to leave... Well YEE FUCKIN' HAW!!!

What they SHOULD do... Is NOT quit... They should just fire that cheap imitation of his former self (VINCE).. and get John Corabi back in the band.. A man wit some REAL talent... Other than shout.... that 94 album was the best thing they ever did

    • @Frankenberry
      @Frankenberry 9 лет назад

I mean... its so obvious... Hes just up there not even TRYING to half sing the songs right...and on top of it... Hes just half assed going through the motions... Its an INSULT to the crue fans in my opinion. If I were to be one of the poor saps who paid hundreds of dollars for a good seat for this show. and he came out dancing around like a little fairy and proceeding to suck HORRIBLY and DESTROY every Crue song Ive loved for so long... I probably would have incited a damn riot

Yes, Vince's vocals suck. I don't think he sings any consonants. When you're physically there at the show, you don't notice it as much because the show as a whole is really great.

Vince is out of breath on the second song! He is flat out of shape!! He needs to put some pride into his performance. The rest of the guys do. No excuses. It's still a great show because Nikki, Mick, and Tommy care him across the finish line.
