Thanks to the Patriot Act, the agencies work together to blackmail almost anyone or insert people into positions of power that they can then control. There was a reason guys like Jim Jordon were stonewalled during the search to find a new speaker of the house despite being very popular among republicans. Jordan would have been a problem for them. They made sure he didn't get the votes. Then almost out of the aether, Mike Johnson appears and suddenly gets the votes he needs to win the position when almost nobody knows who he is.

We've been fooled by so many in the government! I'm really sad it's been by someone I honestly thought was a good guy. Wow, I'd never have thought Mike Johnson was such a jerk, too. I've watched him in committees, ask all the right questions, and say the right things.
It is very scary that any of us as conservatives could be next. There was a little guy in the 30s with a little mustache that had his people do the same thing.
