One of the best waterfall in Norway | Månafossen and hike to Mån farm

Månafossen is a popular hiking destination in Rogaland and is considered one of Norway’s most beautiful waterfalls. Månafossen has a 92 meter fall and is in the top 10 impressive waterfalls in Norway. The half kilometer hike from the parking lot to the waterfall is steep and slippery, but the trail has been improved with steps and chains to secure your grip, making it relatively safe for all the family. You will also find T-marks and signs pointing you to the right direction.
Just a kilometer away or about 30 minute walk further into the trail, you can visit the Mån farm. The short hike is easier than hiking from the parking lot to the waterfall since the terrain flattens out more. The Mån farm is owned by Jaeren Friluftsrod, who recently restored the farmhouse and added a new building on the barn foundations. In the new building there are beds for about 30 people. In the basement, there is an exhibition regarding the history of the farm, and the Frafjord landscape conservation area.
Gjesdal Church is an active and super cute looking church located in Olgord that you can find on your way to Monafossen from Stavanger.
