I seem to be partial to the Sony XZ Premium. Like the camera, has a headphone, sounds decent, onboard storage is decent as well as room for an extra card and I think priced ~$650 US(?). I would like to see if they keep the good qualities, upgrade them add additional RAM - maybe 6 or 8gb - and some more storage while keeping the headphone jack - I have a reason for that - and maybe get the new 845 processor. I would jump on that -While waiting to upgrade my Windows 10 phone - the Alcatel - which I also absolutely love. Maybe a Smart Phone is on the horizon?Love your videos. You also are one of the few who reply back to people. Now to also nail down a new portable computer. Think I need keep the desktop and pick up something to take on the road that can handle storage and longevity and note taking - probably enterprise model of some sort. Those two categories should keep me going another ten years or so. Don't laugh, the computer I am using is 11 years old and had a phone for 10 years. The guys at the phone store could not believe how fabulous the phone looked and ran. The computer has been through many repairs which I figured out most through RUclips.Never suggest a doc w/an engineering background to give their thoughts...you get it. Smile. Thank you.
Welcome to the 2017 Best Smartphones of the year! I did it by category. What are your favourite smartphones of 2017? Let me know below! Also, if you're wondering where the HTC U11 is I never reviewed it or received one. So I can't include it! But I'm sure it's great!
after months of deliberation and watching endless videos, I finally pulled the trigger on the Pixel 2XL. It helped that Bell was running a promotion that I got the phone for free on a 2 year plan.
Jakob Finke After I got to use the Sony XP Premium at Best buy I bought one. And it is the only phone I know that shows LTE+ in some areas around town. I can not give a top 5 but I can say I can list the only one with a 4k display and the only way to really see the difference between 1080 and 2160 is to magnify small print.
Moto G5. Humble, gets you there (eventually), lots of character, inexpensive and you don't have a heart attack when you get it scratched. It's the VW Beetle of smartphones.
Every Thing You Want depends on how you use if AI kicks in, it's way better, color, contrast, exposure very well handled but in scenes with high dynamic range note 8 makes better, low light it's mix note slightly gain more light but mate keep normal exposure but give you supersharp pic very high dynamic range, even pixel xL2 & iPhone X can't hit that (noise lvl are very low =to pixel lvl) depends Huawei phone camera is great (weak part is slightly dynamic range)
5t Is the best hands down. Everything is just as good as other flagships for half the price and the camera... Man smartphones cameras can't beat a DSLR, for me every flashing camera is the same, just use Adobe lighroom and you're good to go
I wouldn't choose the Pixel 2 XL, too much issues with that phone (though without these problems it's a good phone)... I would pick the Oneplus 5T, the HTC U11+, the XZ Premium, the iPhone 8 Plus and the Mate 10 Pro
Liion B although some of those issues have been resolved. The only one left is that blue shift which other devices such as the iPhone x etc have it as well. It's all about preference at this point as there are so many great phone's. This is great for is consumer and hopefully force manufacturers to lower the prices in the future.
Well, U11+ has a limited release and most reviewers won't get to use it. Pixel 2's issues are comparatively minor to be honest and in real life you would hardly even motive them, Google also fixed a lot of it. It did attract a lot of negative attention but even with all that i would still give pixel 2 xl a position in my top 5.I would say the pixel 2 and razer phone are 2 phones that really excels in performance this year. I create tech based contents in my channel with a unique presentation style. If you are free please do give my channel look.
You were Wondering Because a phone is not widely available doesn't make it not great. The Pixel had too much issues and there is still this blue shift and the screen burn-in, remember when people praised IPS because of their viewing angles, OLED is a regression in this area. The Oneplus 5T and Sony XZ Premium/1/1 Compact are also among the best when it comes to performance.
My top 5 1. OP 5T 2. Iphone X 3. Samsung Note 8 4. Huawei mate 10 5. LG V30 Note: I do like the Pixel but it's kinda ugly but performance wise and battery life wise n camera wise it's great
I agree, for value the OnePlus 5T is just...WOW I say it stands with the Pixel 2XL, S8/S8+, iPhone X, and LG V30. Equal performance, battery life, RAM and more! ~and dat face unlock & customization ( > 3
Best value phone for me - S8 ($600 which is just a little bit more expensive than the 5T and doesn't lack anything that a Flagship should have). Though I do love the design of the Mate 10 Pro. Best looking phone released this year
My top 5 Note 8 cz the screen to me is most important Google pixel next as camera is 2nd important Mate 10 same reason as above One+ 5T as it does everything well but value for your dollar V30 but not for audio but its all round capabilities, manual camera, vid n audio recording.
Rachael Jalloul combine all... You will get iPhone x!! Best display right now... One of the best camera, speakers sounds too good.. Good battery life (not that much but still it's good)..
Sunny Singh Note 8 has the best display. Better Resolution/ pixels per inch, and is much bigger at 6.3 inches. Also has the headphone jack and fingerprint scanner still ;)
King Jerizo lol!! Who told you note 8 has the display??? X's display is the highest rated display on earth right now!!! It has the most realistic colours where as note 8's colours are oversaturated (fake) !!!
Note 8 if you want a phone for productivity. The LG V30 if you want a phone for consuming music and just entertainment. If you want to talk about price point then that should be a separate category. Imo these two phones bring something to the table that no one else is.
I'm struggling to decide which to buy between the Note 8, Mate 10 Pro, OnePlus 5T and the V30 and even the new Essential Ph-1... I have a Note 5 now, and I really like my S pen, but I really don't want THAT big of a screen on the Note 8! I wish someone would do a comparison of some of the older phones with the new ones (like my Note 5 to the Note 8/Mate 10 Pro... ect.) bc, what makes a difference between the new phones, might not as big of a difference when you're coming from an older phone that doesn't have those things, so I'm not going to miss it... if that makes sense!
I would give at least one position to iphone, 3rd or 4th they changed their old design in favour of a bezel-less design, although with a notch. They also brought in lots of features and stuffs, the software experience is not the best right now but it will get better. I mean reviewers usually gives iphone a position every year, just because it's an iphone but i think this time i would give it atleast one place for efforts they put in to adopt to the changes. I create tech contents using a unique style. If you are free please do give my channel a try. I will appreciate it quite a lot.
I was considering the razer phone as my next phone because I like a good battery, the screen and speakers are incredible. And I do game quite a bit on my phone (even though the games aren't those fancy race games with top-notch graphics) I mostly play Clash Royale and PVZ Heroes. I watch a lot of youtube too, so the 120 Hz is nice. I currently use a Galaxy S6, so Samsungs flagships had a big chance too. But then I decided to watch a bunch of reviews of top phones that released recently and also decided to make a list of features listed from most important to least important. (I also noticed from these videos that even though the Razer battery is massive, battery life still isn't all that great because of the screen) On top of the list for me are the battery life and speed of the phone. And on the bottom is the speakers/headphone jack (I use a Bluetooth headset 95% of the time). The screen quality has to be good, but not note 8 good. And the camera good, but not Pixel 2 good. And the price has to be around the price of an iPhone x screen repair. So there is one phone that fits almost perfectly in the picture here. So I went with it, the OnePlus 5T, a days power in half an hour and a days power on a full charge. Seems excellent, not to mention the processor, RAM and more than decent camera/screen. Only thing I wouldn't have minded is if they removed the headphone jack and gave it stereo speakers. Because who needs a headphone jack when you have Bluetooth 5.0. Also, Oxygen OS is godlike. If you didn't guess it yet, OP 5T is my pick for smartphone of the year.
My Top 5 !! 1) OnePlus 5T 2) Pixel 2XL 3) Mate 10 Pro 4) LG V30 5) Galaxy S8/S8+ Also the latest OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition is pure 🔥 Please do check it out if you get your hands on one of em !!
Arpith Prasanth Is really difficult to make a top 5 this year, but just because I have an S8, I will put it on the first position. I can't really say a top 5 without single arguments, so for the camera my top 5 is: 1- S8/Note 8 (I love that noise reduction on the S8, and especially on videos with low light it will look perfect), I like the pro settings and how the shutter speed works on pro mode, you can do a lot of things with it. 2- Pixel 2, Is one of the most accurate camera, with a lot of functions, it has the best dynamic range, and is one of the best for selfie-portrait mode. There is not much to say because is very good even with the auto mode 3- Iphone X, has an amazing camera, maybe there is too much contrast but is still great, and 1 strong point is the focus on that phone, anyways there is one problem : the dynamic range works well, but it doesn't work well if you are recording videos... The selfies sometimes are too much oversatured. 4- Oneplus 5, is similar to the S8, but it has less dynamic range and more noise, I'm impressed for the 16 mpx front camera and I've seen that it works great.. 5- Mate 10 Pro, it is great and has a dual camera, not all photos will look great just becuase is the first phone with the dual lens, next year every phone will look perfect with the dual camera, anyways the Mate 10 pro produces good colors but sometimes photos are under exposed and the dynamic range can be better..
No.1 Best of the best= Pixel 2 XL 2. HTC U11 Plus (didn't make it to the US because the people running HTC are the dumbest of all) 3. Note 8 4. OP5T 5. LG V30
I currently use a 1st-gen Pixel, so I'm sure the Pixel 2 is a great experience, but I still really miss the S-Pen from my Note 4, so I'm betting I'd enjoy the Note8 the most.
1) the V30 is phone of the year for me because of its amazing audio the 32-bit quad DAC can't be beat by any other smartphone 2)the Note 8 3) the Pixel 2 XL 4) the iPhone X 5) the OnePlus 5T
I really like the way you present the information on videos, you are doing a good job... Can you provide your tech review about ASUS ZENBOOK PRO laptops...
u forgot to mention how wonderful it feels to watch any random video with that notch. Before giving best display, the number one thing that we see is does it have a complete display
I would have to say the S8plus since it has all the things you need in a phone .. battery life fantastic screen, good camera and so far durability I've had it since April and have dropped it many times and not a mark on it ...can't do that with an iPhone .
The Galaxy Note 8 it's definitely the best smartphone for 2017. No phone even comes close. But I don't need a S pen and I wanted a larger battery so the S8+ fit the bill this year. Saved about $300 over the Note 8. Replacing a failed Nexus 6p.
wait wait a minute did u put the iPhone x and mate pro over the note 8 for second best camera naw sometimes the note 8 takes better pictures then the pixel 2 that I don't agree with
havinash brown u must be sick or something none of them phones u name kick the note 8 ass in camera I would say the pixel 2 is a little better but not by alot cause in some cases the note 8 takes better pictures then the pixel 2 sometimes and the mate pro please be serious the iPhone takes great pictures to but it's not better then the note 8 u must have not looked at super saf when he did the camera comparison and the note is the best phone of 2017 period no phone u name is better not no iPhone x or pixel 2 or mate pro or LG v30
Kenneth raiford so basically what u are saying is that if anyone has a different opinion from yours their wrong and y were you getting so triggered when he said he iPhone x and mate 10 pro cameras were better?
Archer Boy I didn't get triggered at all he said his opinion and I said minds but it's funny that super saf did a comparison and the note 8 was better then the iphoine x in pictures but he don't think so that's what I meant not saying that they don't take great pictures but I think the note 8 pictures and portrait pics looks better
1.iPhone X (best at all categories , camera it’s like even with the Pixel 2) 2.iPhone 8 Plus ( camera performance even with the Note 8)/ Google Pixel 2 XL ( definitly best camera on a smartphone with the iPhone X) 3. Note 8 ( Note has better screen than iPhone 8 and Pixel 2 ,but the iPhone has better Performance overall and the Pixel 2 camera beats both of them) 4.One Plus 5T ( very good for the price) 5.Samsung Galaxy S8
Mate 10 pro it looks good , performs good , artificial intelligence , good camera , good battery life , fast charge , water resistant n worth the price !!! Its perfectly balanced for 2017 !!!!
Pixel 2. Light, fairly priced, great 📷, great battery, great screen. I exchanged it 2 times to try the iPhone X but didn't like the extra steps over the regular iPhone even to unlock & bring up the home menu. Then the 8 plus was good for me but less things than the X like portrait selfie & screen. So I went back to the Pixel 2 for 600 bucks sale. Oh fast charger out of the box
I want to say Mate 10 Pro is my fav but i am waiting for Huawei P11/P20 .. P10 was a great design; hope they don't change the overall dimension of the phone.
iPhone 8, plus, iPhone X, pixel 2, Samsung s8. Op 5 t lacks that build quality like the listed premium phones. It's only for the price it's on the table.
Matthew forgot the fact that the LG V30 has a 10-bit image sensor and a wide angle camera. Which is far more useful than the monochrome and telephoto lenses.
For me it's 1. LG V30 2. Note 8 3. IPhone X 4. Galaxy s8+ 5. LG G6 tied with Pixel 2 Xl Pixel obviously better than g6 but price differences is why g6 is tied with it.
1 Note 8 best over all 2 iPhone x smooth and fast 3 Mate 10 pro longer battery life 4 Pixel 2 XL Best front and rear cam 5 OnePlus 5T best budget phone
Awesome, love your videos! I know you love the Mate 10 Pro! But its a tough one, the Pixel has the whole Google thing going, 5T has the price and great hardware, but you have a soft spot for the Mate 10 Pro, a tough one man. Can't wait to hear your reasons! Also when you going another Ask Matt? Also where do I submit my questions! Thanks!
Just 2 questions Matt, How Can the htc u 11 not be on this list? And where id the essentiel phone? I know this is your personal fave but still, where are they at
I think a major factor that adds to the price - and one that you forgot for that matter - is the software support. And it's a shame we have to wait and see how well OnePlus supports their device each and everytime (butthurt OP2 owner). Also, resale value, in which iPhone is still king unfortunately. Top 5: Pixel 2 XL Mate 10 Pro Note 8 V30 iPhone X (would've been higher if they made the software more fluent, which is fairly easy to do with 3D touch, but yeah, Apple.)
1. Note 8
2. LG V30
3. Pixel 2 XL
4. iPhone X
5. OnePlus 5t (the phone I own)
Alex Wong 5t should be above ipx
C KS y?
iPefet android, simple, as long as iphone has ios i think it worths max 500usd, considering ios will start slowing down after ios updates, performance isnt as consistent as android these days, inferior notification management, and it's slower to operat compared to android, i take os productivity very seriously, one shouldn't even look at ios if it's for practicality and usability
@@Yddp3307 I agree
I own a Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus
Best value in my opinion going to Sony Xperia XZP
Your face on the award though.... 😂😂😂, can't stop laughin...
What?
So u don't think the Note 8 has ONE OF THE BEST camera!?
I’d place it in third after the mate 10 pro and iPhone 10. They’re all pretty damn close and take amazing photos
Welcome to the 2017 Best Smartphones of the year! I did it by category. What are your favourite smartphones of 2017? Let me know below! Also, if you're wondering where the HTC U11 is I never reviewed it or received one. So I can't include it! But I'm sure it's great!

Note 8 should be above The iPhone if not in 1st place
Moto G5. Humble, gets you there (eventually), lots of character, inexpensive and you don't have a heart attack when you get it scratched. It's the VW Beetle of smartphones.
Note 8 has a better camera than mate 10 pro.....
Every Thing You Want no way mate 10 all the way
Every Thing You Want depends on how you use if AI kicks in, it's way better, color, contrast, exposure very well handled but in scenes with high dynamic range note 8 makes better, low light it's mix note slightly gain more light but mate keep normal exposure but give you supersharp pic very high dynamic range, even pixel xL2 & iPhone X can't hit that (noise lvl are very low =to pixel lvl) depends Huawei phone camera is great (weak part is slightly dynamic range)
DR STRANGE you realize Samsung has the camera set on saturated but you can change it to basic
Etheroo but what makes Samsung is its contrast ration thats its speciality
I am using the op5T, but I am wondering why the note 8 didn't come up,🤔
Arun Arvind Gajendran so lucky, I have the 3t and I wish I had the 5t
The size
Arun Arvind Gajendran How's the experience on your 5T? How would you rate the picture quality and video stabilization?
Kris Pham 😍 i am owning oneplus devices from op3 😍😍😍😘
C2tha J2tha video stabilization is fantastic
I don´t understand why people get so angry about phones.
haha me too. People go crazy
Reading ur comment i feel need for kung-fu emojis !!!! Kung-fu emoji next big thing 2018.
julian saß ikr is funny. And it's easy to start. Ready?
iPhone is best. Now the waiting game.
To justify to themselves that they have the best phone or that they are supporting the best phone
My favourite one is Oneplus 5T.🎆💥
5t Is the best hands down. Everything is just as good as other flagships for half the price and the camera... Man smartphones cameras can't beat a DSLR, for me every flashing camera is the same, just use Adobe lighroom and you're good to go
Matt the ULTIMATE Workhorse is back🙌🏿
Lol going to go a little slower for the holidays! Thanks for the love as always!
Matthew Moniz I seriously don’t blame you man your work rate has been the best out of everyone. Always got my support👊🏿
It's obvious you have the Google XL zeroed on. Imo the s8 plus which I own, is the star of 2017 hands down. Looking forward to next years flagships
I wouldn't choose the Pixel 2 XL, too much issues with that phone (though without these problems it's a good phone)...
I would pick the Oneplus 5T, the HTC U11+, the XZ Premium, the iPhone 8 Plus and the Mate 10 Pro
Liion B HTC u11+ is amazing..never seen this battery life and camera in any other smartphone 😍
I agree the pixel XL is the Android fan pick. The software hardware optimization is just so good.
Liion B although some of those issues have been resolved. The only one left is that blue shift which other devices such as the iPhone x etc have it as well. 1. Note 8

Loast Gold (I go on RUclips & Google+)
Speaking of social media...that parallel apps feature seems very practical for many people

Best value phone for me - S8 ($600 which is just a little bit more expensive than the 5T and doesn't lack anything that a Flagship should have). Though I do love the design of the Mate 10 Pro. Best looking phone released this year

i returned the 256 i bought. Then re-bought a 64GB version for this video. I like to keep it for future comparisons and videos
how did the Razor phone not win the sound category?
Just a compliment, nice graphic work and choice of colour on your title picture :)
My favorite phone is my phone, the S8 plus.
S8/s8+
Oneplus 5t
Lg v30
Mate 10
Note 8
Dilen Skyware I agree with you with that list
Dilen Skyware can't agree. The note 8 is basically a s8 plus with more features and a brighter display.

The s8 is shit though the note 8 is amazing
Sir Kuss i mean the price
In my country its damn expensive
And i got to agree the note has more feature and i would get it myself if i had money
Agreed about the iPhone X. All the gestures are confusing and faceid doesn't work 100% of the time. :(
Glad to see mate 10 pro making your top phones list. It's really an outstanding smartphone

Arpith Prasanth Is really difficult to make a top 5 this year, but just because I have an S8, I will put it on the first position.
I can't really say a top 5 without single arguments, so for the camera my top 5 is:
1- S8/Note 8 (I love that noise reduction on the S8, and especially on videos with low light it will look perfect), I like the pro settings and how the shutter speed works on pro mode, you can do a lot of things with it.
2- Pixel 2, Is one of the most accurate camera, with a lot of functions, it has the best dynamic range, and is one of the best for selfie-portrait mode. There is not much to say because is very good even with the auto mode
3- Iphone X, has an amazing camera, maybe there is too much contrast but is still great, and 1 strong point is the focus on that phone, anyways there is one problem : the dynamic range works well, but it doesn't work well if you are recording videos...
No.1 Best of the best= Pixel 2 XL
2. HTC U11 Plus (didn't make it to the US because the people running HTC are the dumbest of all)
3. Note 8
4. OP5T
5. LG V30
I currently use a 1st-gen Pixel, so I'm sure the Pixel 2 is a great experience, but I still really miss the S-Pen from my Note 4, so I'm betting I'd enjoy the Note8 the most.
1) the V30 is phone of the year for me because of its amazing audio the 32-bit quad DAC can't be beat by any other smartphone
2)the Note 8
3) the Pixel 2 XL
4) the iPhone X
5) the OnePlus 5T
Wow kinda surprised the Note 8 is not in the top picks.....great video as always
I really like the way you present the information on videos, you are doing a good job... Can you provide your tech review about ASUS ZENBOOK PRO laptops...
u forgot to mention how wonderful it feels to watch any random video with that notch. Before giving best display, the number one thing that we see is does it have a complete display
My top 5: Note 8, iX, U11+, V30+, XZ Premium..Overall 2017 🏆 : V30+
except for the selfie cam but who cares anyway
efdhg luckily i'm not a selfie addict..lol
Great video Matt
1. Pixel 2 (not XL)
2. Note 8
3. Pixel 2 XL
4. Oneplus 5T
5. LG G6
lol Matt your vids are amazing - probs the best out there right now IMO
Thanks Amit! = ) I really appreciate that!
Still rocking my mate 9, looking forward to upgrading to the Mate 10 next year. My favs
Your video is spot on. I don't know what pocket now was thinking.
Isn't the Huawei Mate 10 Pro THE FASTEST at charging your phone?
1.iPhone X
2.Samsung s8+
3.Sony Xperia XZ Premium
4.LG V30
5.Pixel 2XL
Actually the mate 10 pro can match dash charge in speed and delivers more mAh per min.
I would have to say the S8plus since it has all the things you need in a phone .. battery life fantastic screen, good camera and so far durability I've had it since April and have dropped it many times and not a mark on it ...can't do that with an iPhone .
What the heck? Where is the Essential Phone in your video?! That thing was an awesome phone this year, and it could have won quite a few awards.
The Galaxy Note 8 it's definitely the best smartphone for 2017. No phone even comes close. But I don't need a S pen and I wanted a larger battery so the S8+ fit the bill this year. Saved about $300 over the Note 8. Replacing a failed Nexus 6p.
wait wait a minute did u put the iPhone x and mate pro over the note 8 for second best camera naw sometimes the note 8 takes better pictures then the pixel 2 that I don't agree with
I did and it does = ) But of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion! Thanks for watching Kenneth!
Matthew Moniz u didn't include it
havinash brown u must be sick or something none of them phones u name kick the note 8 ass in camera I would say the pixel 2 is a little better but not by alot cause in some cases the note 8 takes better pictures then the pixel 2 sometimes and the mate pro please be serious the iPhone takes great pictures to but it's not better then the note 8 u must have not looked at super saf when he did the camera comparison and the note is the best phone of 2017 period no phone u name is better not no iPhone x or pixel 2 or mate pro or LG v30
1.iPhone X (best at all categories , camera it’s like even with the Pixel 2)
2.iPhone 8 Plus ( camera performance even with the Note 8)/ Google Pixel 2 XL ( definitly best camera on a smartphone with the iPhone X)
3. Note 8 ( Note has better screen than iPhone 8 and Pixel 2 ,but the iPhone has better Performance overall and the Pixel 2 camera beats both of them)
4.One Plus 5T ( very good for the price)
5.Samsung Galaxy S8
1 note 8
2 pixel 2 xl
3 Iphone x
4 lg v30
5 Mate 10 pro
My pick.....Note 8 , LG v30 , mate 10 pro , iPhone 10 , one plus 5t. Leaving the pixel out because of the design...not impressive.
Mate 10 pro it looks good , performs good , artificial intelligence , good camera , good battery life , fast charge , water resistant n worth the price !!! Its perfectly balanced for 2017 !!!!
good video...
1-Pixel 2XL
2-Galaxy Note 8
3-Mate 10 (Pro)
4-LG V30
5-Xperia XZ1, OnePlus 5T
My Favorite Smartphones
1) Pixel 2 & Pixel 2 XL
2) LG V30
3) One Plus 5T
4) Galaxy S8
5) Mate 10 Pro & HTC U11+
fantastic video .Short & honest details categorically represented in a beautiful way..
I want to say Mate 10 Pro is my fav but i am waiting for Huawei P11/P20 ..
P10 was a great design; hope they don't change the overall dimension of the phone.
Thanks Atif !
In my country due to aggressive offers the op5t and pixel 2 are at similar pricing
Please select one plus 5t, for the sheer reason of low price. This will convey that smartphone manufacturers need to lower their rates.
1. LG V30
2. Galaxy Note8
3. OnePlus 5T
4. Huawei Mate 10 Pro
5. Pixel 2 XL
If you'd included the Razer phone it would've won the sound award
I would of still chose the LG V30. 32 Bit Dac paired with good headphones is better than nice sounding external speakers.
Matthew Moniz I guess that's down to preference then, thanks for replying to confirm your thoughts
What about LG V30. Is it not even at par with other flagships
Funny that he didn't mention the only phone with a 4k display a Sony Xperia XZ Premium.
I think the mate 10 pro is beautiful....pick the odd one out...pick mate 10 pro Matt 😉😉😉....loved the review😘😘😘
1.Note 8
2.Iphone X
3.mate 10 pro
4.oneplus 5t/pixel 2
5.s8/s8 plus
1.NOTE 8
2 PIXEL XL2
3 IPHONE 8PLUS
4 1PLUS
5 the razor phone looks pretty fun
Love every video u make matt . do also your fav. Gaming laptop . Thanks ☺☺☺☺
iPhone 8, plus, iPhone X, pixel 2, Samsung s8. Op 5 t lacks that build quality like the listed premium phones. It's only for the price it's on the table.
Sony Xperia XZ1 instead of the XZ Premium? Explain...
1, Google Pixel 2 XL
2, HTC U11+
3, Note 8
4, OP5T
5, Mate 10 Pro
My pick is in the order Google Pixel 2 XL, iPhone X, Galaxy Note 8, One Plus 5t, LG V30+....
My pick is iPhone x but slightly disappointed not to have Google pixel 2 xl's front camera.
I prefer a phone with the fasted modem first, then display, then stereo speakers...
I pick the Nokia 8. It is the only 2017-phone I have owned this year.
Changed it for a broken Galaxy S7!!
Seeing how much Google screws up every update, I think I'd rather wait for stable version
O I like the iPhone X and the huawei mate 10 pro can you tell me which one to get
1. OnePlus 5T
2. Google Pixel 2 XL
3. Huawei Mate 10 Pro
4. HTC U11+
5. Samsung Galaxy Note 8
6. Razer Phone
7. iPhone X
8. OnePlus 5
9. LG V30+
10. Essential Ph1
Haha when he said the Mate took better pictures than the galaxy and V30 I crapped myself laughing.
My top 5 picks
1.Pixel 2,XL
2.iPhone X
3.OnePlus 5T
4.Note 8
5.LG V30
Matthew forgot the fact that the LG V30 has a 10-bit image sensor and a wide angle camera. Which is far more useful than the monochrome and telephoto lenses.
That’s subjective some prefer wide others prefer telephoto. I do love the manual controls though !
My top 5:
1)Note 8
2)iPhone 8+
3)Mate 10
4)Galaxy S8/+
5)Mate 10 Pro
My top 5 favourite Smartphones of 2017 are:
1. Mate 10 Pro
2. Galaxy Note 8
3. Oneplus 5t
4. IPhone x
5. LG v30
My top 5 would be Note 8, OP5t, iPhone 8 plus, Pixel 2, and LG V30
1. Google pixel 2
2. IPhone X
3. Huawei mate 10 pro
4. Lg v30
5. Note 8
1. Pixel 2/ 2XL
2. Huawei Mate 10 pro
3. Moto Z2 Force
4. Samsung S8/S8+/Note 8
5. HTC U11+
My top phones in no particular order:
Lg V30
HTC U11 (Galaxy S8 Plus)
IPhone 8 Plus
Huawei Mate 10 (not the "pro")
Google Pixel 2
Battery life and price are two of my top factor s when I choose a phone.
For me it's
1. LG V30
2. Note 8
3. IPhone X
4. Galaxy s8+
5. LG G6 tied with Pixel 2 Xl
Pixel obviously better than g6 but price differences is why g6 is tied with it.
1 Note 8 best over all
2 iPhone x smooth and fast
3 Mate 10 pro longer battery life
4 Pixel 2 XL Best front and rear cam
5 OnePlus 5T best budget phone
Awesome, love your videos! I know you love the Mate 10 Pro! But its a tough one, the Pixel has the whole Google thing going, 5T has the price and great hardware, but you have a soft spot for the Mate 10 Pro, a tough one man. Can't wait to hear your reasons! Also when you going another Ask Matt? Also where do I submit my questions! Thanks!
Thanks Saad! = )
My number one is the LG V30,2nd is pixel 2xl,3rd motorola z force 2,4th htc u ultra and for 5th place is the new spny xperia xz1
Just 2 questions Matt, How Can the htc u 11 not be on this list? And where id the essentiel phone? I know this is your personal fave but still, where are they at
Never received or reviewed the htc u11 so cant include it. As for the essential phone it’s good for the price but it’s not one of the best.
1. One Plus 5 T, 2. Pixel 2, 3. LG V 30, 4. Xoimi Mi Mix 2, 5. Galaxy Note 8.
I love my Samsung S8 but I also like what I see in the Google Pixel 2 snd both Blackberrys.
I think a major factor that adds to the price - and one that you forgot for that matter - is the software support. And it's a shame we have to wait and see how well OnePlus supports their device each and everytime (butthurt OP2 owner).
Also, resale value, in which iPhone is still king unfortunately.
Top 5:
Pixel 2 XL
Mate 10 Pro
Note 8
V30
iPhone X (would've been higher if they made the software more fluent, which is fairly easy to do with 3D touch, but yeah, Apple.)
Hey matt i heard mate 10 lite is also pretty good. Its under 300 usd
And is also bezeless
