I love solo travel! And one of my upcoming trips will be to Aruba! I’m glad you had a great adventure there. And that was so sad about the plastic washing onto shore in Aruba. I’m glad they have efforts to clean it up. But they shouldn’t have to.

Great video. Let me know when you’re going again. I’d love to come too. As a suggestion there is an adapter and special mics for your camera or phone that can help cut the wind when your in windy areas.

It looks like you had a blast. This was the vlog I needed to see. My first solo trip and my first time out of the country trip will be to Aruba next month and I've been looking for vlogs and researching info online for the past 3 weeks. What would be your recommendations as far as getting around the island if you aren't renting a car?
there is a bus that takes people from Noord where a lot of the hotels are to downtown and back. I used the bus a lot because it was only $2-$3. the only other way I got around was by taxi. all of the taxi prices are set by the government and I paid around $30-$40 for each taxi ride.

thank you so much !!! I didn’t use a tour guide and everything I did was booked while I was on the trip. I worked with the tours and excursions representative at the hotel to book everything and she was so helpful !

from my experience, I felt like Aruba was very safe!
Would you recommend renting a car?
great question! I really think it just depends on what you plan on doing and where you plan on staying. if you’re booking tours/excursions with a hotel, they usually provide transportation to and from the hotel. if you’re staying in Noord where a lot of the hotels are, there is a bus stop in front of most of the hotels that takes people to downtown and back. the bus is only $2-$3!
