I brew in the garage cause I make a big mess ,. I once spilled a 5 gallon bucket of beer I was bottling in the dinning room . Thank God the wife’s nice rug absorbed most of it before it ran down the floor vent . I laugh now but boy what a mess I made . She got a new rug .

Years ago, one of my first batches of beer, I'd pitched the yeast and left it on the kitchen counter. I woke to hear hissing. The lid had blown off the three part bubbler, and wort was geysering on the ceiling!
It was a messy learning curve. I can laugh about it now... 😂

@ I forgot I did that also . I heard a loud pop in middle of night and woke to see cover 10 feet away and ceiling splattered with wort. What a mess. And believe it or not my wife had named the beer thunder struck . lol 😂
