It really doesn't matter what brand you choose. ALL boat manufacturers have gone off the deep end with their pricing. $108,000 for a 25' Dusky w/ a single motor ??? That boat -- AT BEST -- is only worth $75,000. MAYBE.
100% agree. And that's only the INITIAL layout of $$$$ for the boat alone. Jeez. Add recurring, inescapable costs such as insurance, gas, maintenance, slip fees and MORE - you gotta be nuts. F#@&ing waste of money. And just for perspective, I'm a retired cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgeon. I'm a millionaire MULTIPLE MULTIPLE MULTIPLE times over - and I wouldn't take on the expense of these boats if you GAVE me one at the outset. If I won one in a raffle, I'd say "No thanks. Keep it." I'll stick with my second-hand 1999 Sea Hunt 172 and trailer thank you very much!
@@frankschannel2642That’s because you are smart with your money. A loan guy told me once that quite a large percentage of people who buy these things have no business owning one from a financial point of view.
Yeah, that Sea Hunt 27 can be optioned with different helm seats, including a bait station. Plus it's one of the few that size you can get with a coffin box and upfront livewell.
That would outfit really nice with that type of set up, coffin box might make things a little too tight up front, but depending on the size would still be a sweet set up for the price
There’s deals out there right now. Some dealers still have 2023’s on the lot and with the end of the year they’re going to want them gone. It’s a new 2 year old boat, but get full warranty and deep discount that will could beat the depreciation of the model year.
I haven't finished the numbers yet, but you are right for sure, big difference from Miami to FLIBS, because Miami boat show has more larger boats in the convention center where FLIBS is mostly on the docks, but from what I've seen so far, Miami was an average boat price of 299K whereas FLIBS was 241K! Massive difference! Again, take some of the big boat prices out from Miami where you have $4M Scout 53's but still massive difference!
Huh. I didn’t understand what a power pole was. Deceiving name. I thought you mounted a trolling motor to it to work like a transom jack. Silly, me. Are they a new thing? Is everything going drive/throttle by wire?
Thanks for the reviews. Keep in mind that you get what you pay for, period. I suggest you differentiate between the 2-layer construction vs. 3-layer hull configurations. You love the price point on the less expensive hulls and for a reason. It's all about structural integrity and a solid ride!!
I could afford to pay outright for a 150k center console dual motor 25/27 ft , but for the quality and finish on these new boats and still the crazy dollar value can’t see myself blowing 50k more than what the boats should cost at this time. I will buy a late model used at a great deal and that way spend the difference in savings on land or other actual assets. Who really cares if it’s a late model used or new they’ll most likely be for the free ride have fun and go on from there
Thanks for the video, always interesting to see if the boat mfg have realized yet the boats are too expensive especially with how high the interest rates are. Near me there are still brand new 2023’s left over and even saw a 2022. I think the retailers are going to feel the pain like the corvette deals are now when their lots are full of new boats.
Short question or two. I have no seen a "Wellcraft" CC in your Video, no boot from this manufacturer on the bootshow? Do you have any experience with Wellcraft CC old or new boot´s?
Trailer not included in those prices. Taxes & Registration and misc. gonna get ya. Interest rates still to high to finance. FLIBS tickets for 2 $150 WTH.
The Sportsman was nice for sure, priced well, idk how well the build or the ride is, but not bad at all, build quality seems to be pretty good from what I've seen over the recent years though :) I was also surprised to see the amount of Suzuki and Yamaha's! Also the electric steering is taking over as well!
Well, every boat and brand is different, but for the most part, most things are negotiable. Especially when buying a boat from a boat show. Things like electronics, trailers, features, additions, etc are all customizable. So yes, most dealers will negotiate with you on the price depending on what you are looking for or wanting and what they actually have available
I don't have a ton of experience with them, they are the same company as Sundance, which is a good affordable brand but I don't have a lot of on the water experience with the boats :/
G,day from Sydney Australia. Man... It's like I'd died and went to heaven. If time "someday" could you please explain the black plastic device fixed to the bottom of the transom? 🌏🇦🇺
Hey John! For sure, they are Sea Keeper Rides, which I think is what you are asking about, they are an automatic trim tab system that automatically adjusts as you run the boat through the water, basically a self stabilizing system while the boat is running :) ride.seakeeper.com/

The mark up must be tremendous on these boats. 50-70 % I bet.

Duskys are awesome over built solid boats that are made to last a long time.
All the new ‘2024 Yamahas have the round part digital or hydronic. I just bought a 200 hydronic and it looks like that.

Great video! I think I will stick with used boats though 😂
Best part about the 29 contender is the ride system! Elevates that boat to the next level
Yea ok 🙄
I did like the last one best. Thanks for the show man.
Short question or two. I have no seen a "Wellcraft" CC in your Video, no boot from this manufacturer on the bootshow? Do you have any experience with Wellcraft CC old or new boot´s?
I like a Wellcraft, though I've heard of some people having some issues with the newer ones, but overall I think they are a good decent boat
Thanks for this work, it’s good to feel like I am there when I am actually far
Great channel, your insight it honest and upfront.
That’s very nice video. It gave me a lot of ideas but like you said, the fountain is the best out of all ride good looking I know it’s pricey.
You should look at a Jones Brothers. It’s a fishing machine.
Why does my 80s 2e footer with a deep v look larger inside and much larger on the hull bottoms than any of these boats?
Have had a Gamefish 25 for about 4 years now. Solid boat at a very affordable price. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know!
Trailer not included in those prices.

Those Albury Bros 27Bs are gorgeous, all that you need and nothing that you don’t. But I just can’t justify the price tag man!!!
Nice video mate!!
I am digging the sportsman 25 and wow suzuki is taking over.

Thanks for the walkthroughs 👏👏 I’m looking for a 24’ dual console, but this got me excited
Didn’t show any Boston Whaler offerings. Obviously they are going to be way over priced as well.
that nautic star... mechanical steering on twin 250s?? am i crazy or is that a questionable choice
I meant regular hydraulic steering, not electric steering like a lot of new boats now have.
Did you run into the Gale Force Twins while at FLIBS?
No I didn't, I think they usually put up booths in the accessories tents
are prices at shows negotiable? never bought a boat. hopefully looking to get into one for spring 2025

Nice video, how about the sea born. Thanks

What's your take on the seafox commanders?
I've never been a huge Sea Fox fan, it's a good production entry level boat, but I've never been a big fan
That Blackfin would be ideal if it had Yamaha or Suzuki outboards instead of Mercury.
What are power poles…..?
Shallow water anchors

Prices are stupidly high. Stay tuned…
I can't believe the cost of these boats there is nothing that makes them worth having at those prices...
Look all day… you can’t beat the value of a Key West
At these prices I will be buying used or a panga.
Who is buying these? Wow.
Suzuki taking over the market it seems ??
Yeah, I was surprised seemed like most of the boats in the 25-28' range had either Suzuki's or Yamaha's, a lot less Merc's than there used to be!
It’s a good video but I like used boats and the better build quality.
XEN crypto 💎

since when did boats get so fucking expesnive
Geez, expensive…. Insane. Looks like your boat price just went up…
I think they are actually down some from earlier this year
Good luck...too rich for me
these dusky boats look like trash to me
They are actually amazing lol they ride so great!
Should look at the rigging on sea hunt. Pathetic lol
