Thanks for sharing! My neighbor recently moved out and gave me this tire changer. I haven’t used it yet because i I had no idea how but your video cleared up many questions / concerns… 😎👍
I saw another guy using one of these that had cut pieces of sidewall out of old tires to put under the rim and under the holder above the rim to keep from scratching his painted rims.
1st off, when doing larger tires you will bend the long bar, 2nd on the bead breaker, you have to add to the attachment to raise it higher, then it will work great!
I know that you're not supposed to use pb blaster but if you have work on any heavy diesel shop that works on 18 wheelers those tires are all done by hand and 90% of the time they use pb blaster I've been using pb blaster on all my tires now for about 6 years and haven't had any issues again I know it's not technically the correct thing to use but if it works... It works and I only use it on my own vehicles so if I slip a bead it's on me lol I'll pay for my mistake check out my video where I modified this tire changer and made it 10x easier to work with thanks for the feedback it's always welcome!
Thanks for the comment always appreciated if you want check out a video I posted of this tire changer just modified with an attachment I made for it witch make the job much easier
You forgot to add the soapy water or Grease that's why you're having to fight so much because the tire is dry I would also try putting a cheater pipe on the end so you have more leverage
@@panama7223 also a cheater pipe would never work with this set up because the bar would just twist and pop out of the bead and you'd have to start all over

Dawn dish soap is great for this, and when it dries up it doesn't allow the rim and tire to slip.

The one rare case of tire slip I've seen is on paddle tires 😅
But I agree some tire lube is alright for 90% of people with their rigs on the road
Nice work.👍

Good job man,!
Thank you! Cheers!
20 inch wheels?
Yes 20' rims
Should have used soap but it came out a lot easier I did my Jeep last night and it came out really good using soap
Did it scratch your wheel at all?
Believe it or not no and the paint on these rims is in bad shape to begin with but nothing got scratched or rubbed off
