    Before the introduction of league players into the Wallabies. Intellect is extremely important in Rugby Union.

      As a young winger(Under 8's, 10's & 12's) I always wanted the ball out, kinda hating the inside centres, but as my skills progressed and more importantly my understanding of fluidity progressed so did my skills as an inside centre progress... Totally agree. Looking back, now 5 years since this post, it is self evident the cross pollination of looking for hard runners, league style. with patient, rehearsed and thinking backs has caused the Wallabies to suffer.

    No disrespect to Noddy Lynagh, but the Wallabies were a far better team with Larkham at the helm. He was a magician.
