    They will fly so high that they will be almost out of sight. They may fly for hours. It has been more than 50 years, since I had high flyers, Rollers, and Helmets. They all flew together. From what I remember, they were all small pigeons. The Rollers would do acrobatics along with the high flying birds. I had about 50 birds that flew together. I was a teenager at the time in the 1960s. I really enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work. I also, had many different breeds of fancy show pigeons, like Fantails, Russian Trumpeters, Frills, Owl pigeons and more and many breeds of show chickens Bantam and Large Fowl. I also had pheasants and quail. I grew up on my family's poultry farm. My Father owned an Electric Motor Repair business in Texas. He paid for our hobby. I read a lot of books on Poultry and pigeons and game birds. Now, I have asthma and can no longer have any birds. So, I watch your videos and remember the good old days, when I was young. I loved birds and enjoyed watching them.

    • @ManeyPigeons
      @ManeyPigeons  4 года назад +2

      wow great! i hope i can keep you entertained! if you watch my other channel @maney estate there will be lots more chicken breeds on there in time! i really like my birds so the flock will expand when i move!

    • @bigcaptainschannel
      @bigcaptainschannel 4 года назад +1

      Keep it simple. The fewer birds, the more you will enjoy them. I had too much.

    • @bigcaptainschannel
      @bigcaptainschannel 4 года назад

      It relaxed me to watch your videos. I read a lot and listen to music. At 72, it is my time to enjoy what life I have left. I am learning from you my friend. Your Homing pigeons are beautiful. My problem is that I had too many birds. I only won first and second in one young bird 100 mile race against the pros. I raced birds for about 5 years. That last year I lost my entire young bird team in a training toss of about 10 miles. I have no idea as to what happened. I think it is called a fly away. That kind of broke my spirit for racing pigeons. Maybe some hunters shot them up or something.

  • @HamoodiAlterEgo
    @HamoodiAlterEgo 4 года назад +1

    They seem like good quality highflyers. Once trained completely they'll start flying longer each time they take a flight. So initially they might just fly for an hour or so, staying close to their loft but as and when they are completely aware of their surroundings they can do good 6-7+ hours easy! Can definitely do way more tho. Build a trap door on the top if you can, like a roll on kind and let them sit on top of the loft and see it from outside! Before you let them out on their own completely its better to tie up the last 4-5 feathers so they don't run away, leave them like that for a week everyday then you can open the knot on their feathers and they are good to start flying and build up some flight muscles. Really excited to follow their progress ❤❤

    First of I'm happy to see new pegions hereafter he won't get stressed to be alone he got some good company. Basically high flyer use fly minimum 5 hours when you got good line bird they use to fly more than 12 hours even night they won't come to loft some will even over night. And you don't want feed much food to them they go and get food from some empty lands. I advise you don't make a loft near to homer pegion if the pegions are mingle there atitude will change its better you have loft in estate.

    firstly don't think of them like your homers. they will need a bit more getting used to cause they fly very high and for a long period of time. so i'd suggest to clips their wings before letting them out for at least 3-4 weeks. even the bigger birds have hard time finding their way home.

    Please take some time, pair them and tie the last five wing feathers then after two or three weeks open the males wings and when female lay eggs you can open her wings as well. Thus breed them and fly their young ones. These Teddy pigeons are also can be called "KALSEERA" means KAL=KALA(Black), SEERA=SEER(Head).

    A Sputnik trap on the back wall of your pigeon penthouse so they can exit the loft and enter the aviary section of the Sputnik at all times. Also i think you need a landing board so the high flyers can walk through the door into the penthouse from the main aviary , currently they hit their wings when they fly straight in

    I believe you purchased the Sky Leader GPS system ... it’s a very good tool to use ... one of our local flyers try it out on his toss training on Oahu to home ... as well as toss training from Molokai to Oahu home ... findings showed a consistent fly path ... birds flew on all training sessions ... you’ll see it when you try it ... and without interference of hawks ... 😯

    Don't force them to fly. Don’t allow them to fly here and there all the day. If they land after 10 minutes, put them in the cage, don't force. Try in the next day. Feed them once daily, in the afternoon. And water two times daily. Love from Bangladesh 🇧🇩

    For the highflyers you should get a drop in box that you put on the roof and he can drop right in straight down from the roof do you have ones that they make like that that you put right on the roof so was the land they go in and drop radiant have to go down another level and nothing they go straight from his line then on the roof and then drop down rain to the whole
