These tips helped me make my last second choice of what my baby shower gift for my dear cousin would be. It was so very easy to find the parts at affordable prices near by, plus they weren't a problem to ride my bike home with either. I rode my bicycle a mile uphill bought all of the same ideas and main important pieces for making the Diaper Cake, brought them home and put the things together in less than an hour. This was an amazing gift. It even ended up being the most popular amongst all of the rest of the Baby Shower presents. Well made Diaper Cake tutorial! It is a success for plenty of people and beginners.
Nice job! I would have definitely put that "It's a girl" sign in the teddy bear's hand. Also I would put small artificial pink rose buds or bows on top of some of the rolled diapers, then I would draw decorations on the pink ribbons ( hearts ect.) in silver glitter just to give it some extra glam and placed the finished product on a clear serving tray from the Dollar Tree. This is a wonderful ideal.
Thanks for the ideas! They sound great! Just finished mine and I think I'll be incorporating one or more of your ideas. Especially the 'Its a girl!' sign!
I never add glitter to these types of projects because you want the baby to use the diapers so you need diaper to be as clean as possible. Theresa, great tutorial. Thanks.
That was a really awesome diaper cake. I used a rond 9 inch cake pan to put my diapers in and then I put a large rubber band around them to hold together. I also hot glue the ribbon on. For the bottom Foundation I just took and got a poster board from dollar tree and hot glued a paper roll to the bottom of course center it onto the board then you can start making your diapers go around it for a solid foundation. This is another way of doing it. Have fun doing this. The look is a little different than what she made hers, this way offers a different tears. You then can attach your baby powder and stuff like that. You just glue it on or you could take a ribbon and tie it onto the different levels something to think about something different. Have fun trying this
Loved the cake...you can tie the teddy bear with a curling ribbon tied to the teddy bear then through the cake ribbon. How do you keep the layers together?
It looks fantastic! Thank you for the detailed video. I think it will be much easier to know the inches of the decorative ribbon for each layer. Will please kindly provide the numbers?
How do I know what size is the templates for the 60 Bottom, 20 middle and 9 top on the diapers? I think you have done a great job with this tutorial all we need is how to make the templates. Keep up the good work its simple and very pretty.
I used safety pins or ribbon to attach toys , socks and bottles. They stay in place and then even the ribbon can be reused and nothing has hot glue on it.
For first timers can't use the template because we don't know what 60,20&10 diapers look like or size. That is the one thing I found not helpful; however, the rest of tutorial is AWESOME. .
Wow great tutorial thanks for posting its cost effective but looks very nice almost everything can be reused. But what are the diameters of the temples pls
I am going to make this for sure for a Grandma baby shower. But I am amazed at how you have avoided every ones question as to the size of the templates. Just a rough idea would really help. Please respond to ths for e.
Great job, can you tell me how many inches the tier have the one for 60 diapers,20 and 10 so I can cut it out and it will be much easier. Thanks great video.
Use dowel rods in the center or cake rounds for each tier and put it together at the shower. Very easy to move. You can also wrap it it clear wrap and put a ribbon on top. ❤️
I love this picture of The diaper cake I really want to make one myself and it’s for my apartment because it reminds me of when I was a baby once and I’m proud to have it because I am a proud uncle so I love you a lot
I don't usually use anything but if you wanted to make sure they didn't move you can push the pencil sized dowel rods down into the layers and they would hold perfectly. Thanks for watching :)
sure, that would work better then trying to move it all put together. you can hot glue down the stuff that you want to stay on the ribbon and then add the bigger stuff at the party.

@@theSoutherlands Your diaper cake is beautiful!

they are size one diapers. once you get them rolled and together then wrap your template material around it and BAM! Template. That's it.
Yes I think the same.
@@theSoutherlands No Bam! happening for me either. What we need is each band's diameter, please. Thanks .
It's a figure out able momemt
I just love this baby girl diaper cake!:)
Thank you
love it so beautiful , do the tiers slip off when you're moving it ? xx
Mine never do. I move them carefully.
I use a roll of paper towels in the middle but I take half of the paper towels off. You use less diapers that way and save on the cost😊
that's a great idea
Love this diaper cake!
Beautiful, where can I find the templets that size?
you basically just make your own template if you are going to be making multiple cakes.
What are the measurement for the templates?
What are the measurement for the templates
Wow great tutorial thanks for posting its cost effective but looks very nice almost everything can be reused.
But what are the diameters of the temples pls

I am going to make this for sure for a Grandma baby shower. But I am amazed at how you have avoided every ones question as to the size of the templates. Just a rough idea would really help. Please respond to ths for e.

So pretty. I love the baby gifts added. Thanks for sharing this with us
Great job, can you tell me how many inches the tier have the one for 60 diapers,20 and 10 so I can cut it out and it will be much easier. Thanks great video.

Dowel rods shown here amzn.to/3eYdBT2
Awesome!
oh please!!! beautiful. what about moving it?
Use dowel rods in the center or cake rounds for each tier and put it together at the shower. Very easy to move.
You can also wrap it it clear wrap and put a ribbon on top. ❤️
Very cute, but how do you keep the three tiers together?
dowel rods stuck inside the tiers
love it but i must have missed how you hold the layers together?
Enjoyed watching you put it together!!!
thanks
Looks great
Can I ask how you keep all the tiers together to stop them falling off??
Dowel rods and the ribbon is usually tight enough to hold it all together. if you put cake rounds under the layers... it helps too.
very adorable
Love this idea
Nice. but how are you carrying it this cake without a bottom or a center rod/paper towel holder to hold all the diapers in place?
there is a cake round on the bottom. dowell rods in the tiers. easy
This is beautiful!!
Wow very beautiful 🌸
Hi how did you make the layers stay!!
Rubber bands and ribbon
Omg so cute 😍😍 I will make one like this thank you
Thank you.
Love this!
How did you secure the diaper layers so the layers stay in place when you move the cake?
Very creative thank you for show me. I think I will try one and see how it turns out 👶🎀🧸🧴

Joanne
Thank you. I used 3 cake rounds to get the sizes. Large, medium and small.
so far i like this video the best. what size are the templates
Perfect video for what I was looking to do 💕 thank you 🙏🏽
Theresa, how did you secure the booties to the top of tier?
With a dowel rod shoved down into the diapers. Just tie, clear tape or a dab of hot glue to the rod
Superb
Thank you !! So much I have a baby shower in August and its a girl great gift idea .
I love this picture of The diaper cake I really want to make one myself and it’s for my apartment because it reminds me of when I was a baby once and I’m proud to have it because I am a proud uncle so I love you a lot
Love it! ♥️
Love it....what did you make the templates out of? thanks
thank you. i used a basic cheap ribbon. nothing special.
@@theSoutherlands what are the measurements for the templates
donna bass I lost the templates. I have no idea what they were. Using cake rounds helps.
I love it
You glued the booties?
No, you can just set them in place. No need to glue
Lovely
How does the tiers stay together?
You can push dowel rods down into it or just set them on top of each other.
How did you secure each layer to the next, before added the decor? Thank you
dowel rods down into the layers.
Hi! Quick question: Did you do anything to secure the 3 layers altogether so they don't move?
I don't usually use anything but if you wanted to make sure they didn't move you can push the pencil sized dowel rods down into the layers and they would hold perfectly. Thanks for watching :)
LaToya Allen n
LaToya Allen that’s a good question
So cute. I’m going to do this for my daughters baby shower. She’s having a boy. ♥️
Lovely,I would have loved to see final plastic wrapping to carry it too😅
What size do you cut the templates
Lost them. don't remember the sizes. I know that total diapers used is usually 95 to 100. not sure if that helps.
I love the gift idea. But does the glue damage the diapers?
Not as long as you don't glue to the diapers. Glue to the ribbon
how do you keep the layers from falling when moving it?
usually use dowell rods pushed down into the layers. you can also use a clear wrap and wrap the entire thing. i did that recently.
Love it
Beautiful!!
Beautiful! Love it!
thank you
I do love this cake its so big
This is adorable..
Super! Danke!!!!
Precioso! Lo único que falto fue la base.
Beautiful
great!!!
Adorable !!
thank you
How do you keep the layers together?
You can use the cardboard inner of a paper towel as a dow stick...when the paper towel is all used up..hope this tip is helpful..I did
Nice video 👌❤️❤️
It's spectacular
Very nice
What keeps the layers together
Dowel rods can be used. On mine. I just stack them. It stays together well. You can also place cake rounds between each layer as well.
Love it I’m about to be a beginner
Its lovely. You did a great job
I love it, but confused as to how you keep the layers from tilting over? Thank you for sharing your creativity!
dowel rods stuffed down inside the layers will hold it together.
Great job!
I am making one at home, but I want to take to to my the party... Do I take it apart den set it up there?
sure, that would work better then trying to move it all put together. you can hot glue down the stuff that you want to stay on the ribbon and then add the bigger stuff at the party.
Very cute! Thank you for posting.
thank you for watching :)
Love it!!!!!
What size is the templates for 60, 20 and 10. I need to know the size of each template so I know how round they are please. Thanks
How do you hold the layers to each other?
i just stack them together but you can add dowel rods down into it to hold it together
Perfect

oh congratulations! that is wonderful. blessings.
@@theSoutherlands thankyou and sorry, I meant to say our Grandbabies
Not too sure about adding hot glue to everything for a newborn, however easy it may be to remove 🤔
