- This is my review of the Samsung RS800 RS68N8670S9 American Fridge Freezer in Stainless Steel.
It has an ice maker and two fridge compartments with a temperature controlled Flex Zone for storing items of your choice.
In this video I give you a tour of the storage and show you how we have fixed the filter to the inside of our kitchen cabinet

Excellent coverage of the unit. My current fridge has the water filter within the fridge which is easily replaced by unscrewing it half a turn and doing the reverse with the new filter. I assume the water supply to the Samsung filter needs to be isolated before removing the inlet and outlet pipes from the old filter but I don't see an isolation valve within your kitchen cupboard. Do you have an isolation valve or does the inlet tube to the filter has some sort of self-isolation to stop water leaking when changing the filter?
You are correct, our water supply has a tap at floor level behind the fridge.
How you finding this now, is this still working ok? Any issues? We have the twin door version and it has already been written off as the compressor is failing and noisy.

Does the Flexzone in the bottom half of the fridge work well? I was thinking this could be used for drinks for a bbq or party but depends how quick it cools that zone down etc.
@@richardc1983 I'm afraid I haven't used the flexzone to quickly cool anything, but I do store drinks there. There is a fastcool setting to quickly chill the whole fridge which might do the job.
are the doors easy to open for more elderly people ?
Just put my fridge on but the ice bucket is empty of water ? Does the ice bucket get ice in it automatically or water goes in it

Ive just connected my fridge to my water supply. Does the ice maker automatically tip the ice in to fill up the bucket or do you have to empty it manually?

You misrepresented the flexzone feature. The flexzone temp has 4 temp settings - fridge mode, meat 0, bev 1, fruit & veg 3. This means that if you want to use this area for meat storage or drinks, your fruit and veg will soft freeze - especially salad.
If you wanted to use it for fruit and veg then surely you would take it out of beverage mode and put it into fruit and veg mode or fridge mode? They are completely separate compartments?
If you live in UK or USA you should know that A+ energy class is the 10-20years ago technology .... a smart fridge is from A++ and A+++ energy class wich is the most wanted by most of people in Europe ... Wide American Fridges are obsolete also they drain your money to energy bills 😉
You are incorrect these models use the inverter compressor which speeds up or slows down based on the load
requirements.
for what purpose is that filter designed ? huge turnoff for me. silly idea.
Filtering the water for the water dispenser. We have very hard water, you wouldn’t want to drink it unfiltered.

Cramped compartments and who wants to do all that bending to reach down
