Cosori Dual Blaze Air Fryer review

- The Cosori Dual Blaze is an air fryer with two heating elements, but does having heat from below really make a difference to your cooking? In this video, I test it out in my kitchen at home alongside the Cosori dual basket to see if there is a noticeable difference.
This air fryer was gifted to me by Cosori, but I didn't receive any payment for making the video and they have no input into what I say in the video and don't get to see it before its published
TIME STAMPS!! I forgot to add them on screen! 🫣 but here they are...

Your comment about the dual blaze has been on the market for 8 years and nobody has copied it makes total sense. Great video!
Thank you, really appreciate the comment!
i just bought my Dual Blaze today, i love it.
So pleased, hope you have fun with it!
I love your videos. I've had a dual blaze since last year. It was the first air fryer I ever bought and I have loved it. I've tried other air fryers, but I'm so used to this one.
The dual blaze does kind of come into its own when you want to do things like roast potatoes, parsnips etc. Doing these without the crisper plate in on the bottom of the drawer, browns/roasts them on the underside of them, kind of like a conventional oven would. I've done chicken fajitas this way too and worked out a lot better than all iother air fryers with just the top element. Thanks for all your reviews. I've seen a new Cosori Dual Blaze Twinfry has just come out. Hopefully you'll get to review it
I’m pleased to say I will be, it’s out next month! Thanks for your comment. I did think after I published that I really should have done roast potatoes, but it’s been a bit of a chaotic week with moving house!
I've had this for about 6 months, it's my second air fryer but my first Cosori and I love it! It's just my mom and I, and I use this almost exclusively for our cooking 😁
That's great to hear :-)
Great review. Very helpful. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great info Clara !
Thank you
Thank you. Good informative review, that addressed negatives i had read.
Glad it was helpful!
Hi! I think it would be great to know the power consumption of the airfryer, but not just this one, all of them. But I am totally fine if you don't, because it's an extra haste. I don't think that this would use much more energy, because it heats the food up and down, you maybe end up using lesser heat and time. And these heating elements won't run continously, they turn on and of. I don't even think it would use both of the heating elements at the same time, that would use a lot of power for a plug-in type device that we use for long time (a kettle would, but a kettle runs for just a few minutes per cycle.)
And I want to say, I really like your videos, I only found you last week, and I don't know how I lived without it! Even if I don't shop for every stuff you review it's great insight!
Firstly thank you so much for the comment! It’s really appreciated and it still surprises me when I get nice feedback, because I really enjoy making these videos! The power consumption thing is so tricky. I’ve done some tests with a wattage meter and the power draw is all over the place, up and down, on and off, some two drawers pull at maximum wattage with one draw running, others draw half the wattage! And then other appliances I have found have a high wattage as a badge of honour when they don’t actually need the power! (They just want to appear powerful!) 🤷♀️ There needs to be some sort of industry measurement that measures average power consumption across 10 minutes or something?! I shall give it some thought and see if there is a way of adding up all the ups and downs and averaging!
Just to follow up…. I have found a gadget that measures consumption! You are a genius, thank you for the idea. All being well this should be making an appearance in future videos.
@@CandidClara A follow up from me! check if you can actually use that thingy! some can't handle such high wattages. I have 0 knowledge actually about measuring devices, but I know smart plugs, (the kinds that you can turn on or off remotely) and they definetly have a way of working, some can handle up to 3000W BUT can't handle being turned on and off a lot of times. I can't explain it that good, but I bet the manual does.
Just to be safe if someone else reads this comment, theese smart plugs (typically) should not be used for high powered devices at all. For example, a coffee maker may be rated 500W but draws 3 times as much at the beggining, and this spike can cause danger. This shouln't be the case with measuring devices, because they don't have an internal on/off switch. In any case, it is best to consult the manual.
I appreciate the words of caution, I will be spending my evening going down a rabbit hole looking at different options, there must be something that is right for the job!
So clear and concise Clara - really like your videos. Would have to loved to have had you as my school teacher, I might have done better!! :) (have subscribed)
Oh good heavens, you are definitely the first to say that! You’ll make my parents laugh! Not sure I have the patience to be a teacher, it’s a lot easier when the “class” can’t answer back midway through a train of thought! 😆
@@CandidClara Keep up the good work Miss A++! :)
Having a grill on the bottom is surely not a proper air fryer. You food gets cooked by half air fryer, half grill, and who wants half-grilled chips?
I think it’s a bit of a gimmick, but it doesn’t do any harm
I'm quite curious about the Duronic Air Fryer AF34, 2-in-1 Air Fryer, but can't find many video reviews on it, if you're looking for another one to add to the reviewing list? I've not seen any other air fryer offer a three drawer combo (the choice of separate dual or a single large). Many thanks!
It’s actually next on my list to buy, should be reviewed in the next month!
@@CandidClaraThanks, I'll look forward to that!
Ordered it today!
@@CandidClara OMG, I'm so excited lol! I'm holding off on buying it just to see your review. I think it ticks all the boxes for me, but there could be factors in a real life setting that I haven't considered. Or it's just rubbish lol!
I’m looking for a stainless one because there are alot of forever chemicals in the ones that are not stainless inside.😖
The Ninja Foodi 10-in-1 multifunction oven (dt200uk) matches your requirements, I have added it to my list to review
@@CandidClara thank you
So practically its the same as turboblaze but you can no shake your potato fries. Which is good enough I guess.
Yes exactly that
My guess is that the cost of electricity will go up by about 50% or more with two heating elements.
It takes less time to cook, though.
It shouldn’t use any more electricity than the turboblaze for instance as they are both nearly identical wattage (1725 for the turboblaze and 1700 for the dual)
@Lisamakes I found the timings were the same as the dual basket Cosori
@@CandidClara just fyi, I live in Spain, and there are definitely other companies who do the dual burner. Cecotec, is one.
Should I buy the cosori duel zone or cosori duel blaze? I can’t decide
Ahhh… how many are you cooking for?
Sometimes 4 and sometimes for myself
Go for the dual zone then... BUT...I'm going to throw a wild card in the mix! Cosori are bringing out the TwinFry which is like Ninja's flex drawer, but with the two heating elements of the dual blaze and it's a smart model and I suspect it will have a bunch of other features too! So....maybe hold off for a few weeks?!
