Puzzle Twist is amazing! I got one last year and it ended up being a top favorite of the year. I believe they have that linen texture and the pieces are a nice thickness .It’s also fun that the box is a bit different than the actual puzzle.
I gave Dave the link to this video so we'll see if any of these end up under the tree. I've heard great things so far about Puzzle Twist!
Jumbo Wasgij and Jan van Haasteren puzzles are my absolute favorite puzzles ever, image and quality.
love jan van hassteren to
I have a Wasgij christmas puzzle. I'm so excited to do it in December!!
I have a Puzzle Twist “Nordic Love” that I’m looking forward to doing with my Danish Mother over the Christmas holidays. 😊
That's awesome!
Oh, I am definitely one of your subscribers who is Christmas crazy and loves Christmas puzzles most of all. I LOVE all the amazing Christmas puzzles you are showing. I am trying to plan out which Christmas puzzles I want to do this year and I will do them in January as well until National Jigsaw Puzzle Day and I will plan something special for then. Thank you for sharing your wishlist. I am so inspired!!
I only have a few Christmas puzzles. I always feel bad if I don't have enough time to do them all. SO hopefully this year, with no school I can do more of them!
I own and have done several Puzzle Twist puzzles. They are really fun! The whole point is that the image on the box is not the exact puzzle you put together. They have 4 variations of the "twist" so you might want to read up on them before selecting a puzzle based on the image. The grid collages typically have the boxes rearranged and sized differently than shown.
Interesting!! I like the different options.
Great video 😁. It's nice to get some inspiration, though I don't exactly need my wishlist to expand 😆.
I have tried two Artisan puzzles (a 1000 piece and a 500 piece), and they are lovely quality 😁. The 500 piece puzzle only had the standard two in, two out shape pieces, the 1000 piece puzzle had all the different shapes, and in both the quality was very good. There is a paper backing, which I'm normally not a fan of, but it didn't peal, and the color of it is different on each one and mached the image, so it's actually a very nice and pretty detail 😊. Both puzzles are also with art by Nathalie Lete 😍.
In regard to boxes, I also must admit that they matter way more to me than they probably ought to 😉. I won't buy a puzzle with an image I don't like, just because it comes in a beautiful box, but if the box isn't pretty (for example like a Ravensburger box) the image really, really have to be something special. It's also usually the ones with not so pretty boxes that I end up selling again 😉.
YES!! it makes me feel shallow sometimes if I'm like, but the box is crap... but it's all about aesthetics. Thank you for the info about Artisan, I'll have to keep them in mind.
I have done both Rifle Paper Christmas puzzles - the tree and the snow globe - and I loved them. They were surprisingly tricky because they are shaped puzzles but I definitely highly recommend them.
I love both of them!
PuzzleTwist-definitely recommend 1000 piece, 500’s are pretty simple. “Something’s amiss” option are most challenging.
Good to know. Thank you!
This really makes me want to go buy a bunch of puzzles. But I'm on a puzzle hold as I pre-ordered the new Dowdle 60000 piece puzzle as a Christmas/birthday gift for myself.
I will have to add these brands to my list for when I can buy puzzles again. Thank you for sharing these brands.
Glad you liked it!
I loved this. I literally wrote down every puzzle company name and will follow them on my puzzle Instagram. The only one I had heard of already was Tania Wickes and those are definitely on my list. I LOVE the fall one!
Yay! Glad you found some new brands to explore.
Those king wild ones are SO cool- I got my mom double sided spooky ones for Christmas- Flipsi is the brand- they were spendy but Im OK with it for Christmas gifts!!!
Haven't heard of Flipsi before. I'll have to check them out.
I just completed Handbook for the Recently Deceased by OP! Loved every minute of it! It is right up my alley as I work hospice 😂
Looks fun!
cool like puzzle also collect realstic dolls love heye how u doo
Very cool
Hey Emilee, I recently went on a puzzle spree and bought a bunch of brands to try. I went a little crazy! I got several from Puzzlefolk and the boxes are absolutely gorgeous and high quality. I’m hoping the puzzles themselves will be just as great 🤞🏻 I also bought the Stormy Sky puzzle from 1Canoe2. I love thunderstorms and am going to frame it when I am done as decor. A few other brands I bought from that I think you might like are Talking Tables and One but Many Puzzles (OBMP is from Australia). Another is Trevell. I got The Gift Shoppe and Winter at the Seaside. Both are gorgeous and sustainable (no plastic). I ordered them from Puzzledly. I think they are based in France. Another I got from Puzzledly is Home for the Holidaze by Surf Shack puzzles. I love the packaging and it’s sustainable, too! The last brand is Pippi Post (got from Target online). Puzzlefolk, Talking Tables, and Pippi Post all have some extremely cute Christmas puzzles! 🎄 You have enabled me to buy more than one puzzle on your channel before, so hopefully this will enable you 😉 Take care and looking forward to your next video! Hoping for another scary tale from your college days 👻
I do own a OBMP already. But will have to look up the other ones you've mentioned!! I love finding sustainable brands so thanks for the recommendations!
If you haven't tried Vermont Christmas company puzzles you should try them.
Yes - I've done several of theirs this year!
@@thecasualpuzzler what did you think of them?
1canoe2 is really loose but the piece quality is really nice!
The one i had was random cut, so I wonder if they've changed the cut or some are random cut and not others.
Interesting. They look super pretty!
Hi, a tad off topic but would you tell me where you got the red VW van model on the shelf behind your left shoulder as you face the camera? Is it a model kit or puzzle? I am looking for one just that size. Older person new to jigsaw puzzles and really enjoying it.
I got mine from I believe Serious Puzzles or Puzzle Warehouse. I actually have a video about it on my channel. Its a puzzle by Ravensburger.
@@thecasualpuzzler Thank you! I found it and have subscribed and looking forward to watching your other videos.
Thanks for the recommendations. I really want a Vermont Christmas Company puzzle but they're sooo expensive
Sometimes they have them on sale on Amazon, and I've often seen a sale section on their website. I've been lucky and the one I have I got at a thrift store. Really nice quality and is good if you want to invest in a christmas puzzle that you will do over and over.
How about enwood games by puzzles Canada.
I have one!!! I haven't done it yet though.
