The movie Pumping iron is still great to watch all these years later. I don't think they would be able to make a 2024 version with today's bodybuilders. Long live the classic era of bodybuilding and this great channel.

Im 35 yrs old and just started going to the gym. I just watched pumping iron, my jaw dropped it inspired me so much such a great film
@@Beverlyhillsfinest If you just started going to the gym I would receive getting the books Arnold's encyclopedia of bodybuilding or Bill Pearls keys to the inner universe. You would probably never need another bodybuilding book in your lifetime with all the information these books have on exercise and good luck.
One thing I like about Arnold here is he's actually a good listener.

I've been a huge fan of this movie since I first saw it... it sparked my journey into competitive natural bodybuilding. Never thought I'd ever actually see all these reels. I thought Arnold bought all the extra/unused footage for himself - to reminisce the old days I suppose. Obviously you've got your connections, great work & love the channel!

It’s so weird that interviews at the time kept trying ask Arnold about homosexuality in bodybuilding
Most people suspected bb of being gay, wrestlers too...that kind of suspicion made me wonder if the people asking were not masculine enough to understand the difference between a sport and homosexuality, and I would bet they were homosexuals themselves

In almost all sports, the individual is in great condition and are better looking physically than non-sports.
So these people are usually more physically attractive.
It kinda seemed like the interviewer was trying to get arnold to admit "bodybuilding is for gays"
Supposedly Arnold got his team to buy parts of the pumping iron footage to destroy it. Because what ever he was doing or saying would be seen as controversial now
