I was looking for a place to travel for Christmas and yes! Copenhagen is now top of the list. Thank you for this calm, thorough filming of the beautiful city.
Thank you for the lovely, leisurely paced, and nicely filmed video. I liked how you had many establishing shots followed with details of the decorations.
@@piusjason4061 ah, hopefully we will be able to travel freely very soon and you'll get to enjoy the city in its full glory! Let me know if there's anything in particular you want to see from Copenhagen to better prepare you for your trip 😉
Thinking about moving to Copenhagen from India but the only thing I'm worrying about is large variation in duration of the days in winter and summer 😅😅😅
Greetings from Denmark. In 2019 my father and I visit the Christmas Markets in Copenhagen on: Højbro Plads, Kongens Nytorv and Nyhavn (New Harbour). This year we do the same together with my mother. First we visit these 3 markets. Than we have a cup of Gløgg and Æbleskiver (It's not really chritmas whitout it. (I think is: Gløgg is Glühwein in german), I love Gløgg with almon, warm redwine and raisins. Than is time to eat - we eat at one of the restaurants at Nyhavn. We always end the day - looking at the Big Christmas Chalendar at: D'Angleterre Hotel. I love the knutcracker guards who stands at the hotels doors.
Ah, this all sounds so lovely! I am a huge fan of the Gløgg 😅 Last year there were no Christmas markets because of covid, so I'm really looking forward to having them around this year! And how nice to spend this time with your parents ❤ Mine haven't been here yet and I would love, love, love to show them around!
Thank you for this video! We are visiting Copenhagen from USA late November 2021 to visit our daughter who is studying there. Are the Christmas decorations typically up by late November like they are in USA? Or do those normally show up later in December?
I am going to Copenhagen in December.. the places shown was beautiful.. However, I do not know the name of the streets. I can only make up places like Tivoli garden, Nyhan, may I know the names of the other streets.. Thanks for the video ..
Hey Peck, thank you for watching! The first street in Frederiksberg is called Peter Bangs Vej and it leads to Frederiksberg town house. You can see the names of the places I’m showing in the bottom right corner. The rest are just random streets in the area, but if you follow my steps and go from one place to the other, you’d be able to see pretty much everything in the video 😉
I believe the Christmas markets are scheduled to open around November 12th and Christmas in Tivoli around November 19th. Generally, after Halloween, everyone starts putting up their festive decorations. A few houses are already fully decorated for Christmas even now 😅
Some are still up - no joke 😅😅 No, but really - I don't know if it was because people needed some extra cheer last winter or it's normal for Danes, but the decorations were up for months.
Right now everything is open and there's zero restrictions at all. Things are back to normal pretty much. But, I guess, with Christmas being more than two months away, it's difficult to say what can happen in the meantime 😬
Hi, is it worth going in late november? Me and my girlfriend have our 2 year anniversary november 26 and she loves christmas more than everything else, so i wanted to take her to copenhagen to see something else than sweden this christmas. So back to my question, is it worth it last weekend of november? i mean is it full on christmas already in november on the streets or should we go later on? Sorry for my bad English.
This is great, we watched this and now we're here!
Oh, yay! Hope you enjoyed your time in Copenhagen 🤗 Did you catch the snow? It’s magical around Christmas 🎄
@@IvaYDenmark No we missed it by a week, but we got to experience some at a Berlin Christmas Market!

Hi Iva - hoping to come to Copenhagen this Christmas (2021) - how closed are venues over the days around Christmas?
Right now everything is open and there's zero restrictions at all. Things are back to normal pretty much. But, I guess, with Christmas being more than two months away, it's difficult to say what can happen in the meantime 😬
December 24th - 26th are holidays and shops and venues are closed.

Oh, yes - late November is full on Christmas mode in here 😅 Both people and the municipality decorate very early in Copenhagen.
You speak Mandarin..? Get over it.
