Literally the only things BF4 done better was water warfare and the suppression mechanic everything else was a step backwards. BF4 is only overhyped because it released with the next gen consoles and was a lot of peoples first BF.
I came into the franchise on 4 and thought it was absolutely perfect, what do you think 3 does better than 4 or 4 better than 3 that could be incorporated into the next game?

BF3 Had better TTK, BF3 had better vehicle gameplay (while BF4 has more vehicles I feel like bf4 vehicle gameplay is more bloated and less straight forward), BF3 maps played extremely well both in conquest and especially in rush. BF3 had a better campaign although both campaigns are mid. Levolution was cool at first but most of the time it just ended up making the maps worse (like in siege of Shanghai or the dust storm in Gulf of Oman)
Literally man, since then they just do not do it like that with levlolution etc. Bf1 as good as it was was less advanced technologically I think. Bf1 was something like bad company 1. Only hope is left that they will just do a remastered bf4 type of game for next year release. It's really not that complicated =/
they peaked too early with BF3 , it was way ahead of their time, now they can't top it. BF3 and BF4 had great maps, the atmosphere, destruction, the skies, the walls, the ground, the garbage and all the cover . Bf2042 release maps were too clean no cover, boring, simple, huge massive spaces with nothing around. boring they need to go back to BF3 and get rid of those stupid specialists
BF Bad Company 2 to BF4 and to an extent BF1 days were so awesome. Glad to have played these games when they were at their peak. Shame how low the current state of BF is now. I wish new players could enjoy the same fun we had playing these proper well made BF titles.
Yeah, that was peak BF time. BF Bad Company was just a start for the ride we were getting into.. each title just brought us to new heights and then the drop came,

Anyway, the care, attention to detail, immersion, gameplay and features were just miles better than 2042 if you ever try wanna it or at least the campaigns they offer. Which honestly is a shame I wish they didn't do 2042 dirty.
Best reveals and trailers imo were the BF3 trailers. Also BF4's trailer for the 2015 version of Dragon Valley (Legacy Operations Trailer) was awesome, as it was made by a Battlefield community member Hoodoo Operator who made fan-made BF trailers! BF4 was great because DICE and DICE LA actually embraced their community.

Naval Strike DLC was a lot of fun back in the ps3 days. You had to play a mini Conquest and then you have to invade a carrier chip and plant charges on the MCOMs like Rush. I enjoyed it. I also enjoyed playing Commander on my iPad. I got several kills with the Tomahawk missile. Yeah DICE should really start looking back into doing what they did in bf4.
BF4 was that last time I got super hyped for an FPS game. At launch it wasn’t perfect but BF4 became such a good game. I really hope EA and DICE can deliver a similar experience to BF4 with whatever Battlefield 2025 is. I want another battlefield title I can easily sink 1,000+ hours into learning the weapons,vehicles,maps, and all the mechanics the game has to offer! Because I enjoy playing it! I want BF 2025 and Delta Force Hawk ops to both be good!
The problem with most games and especially these shooters and by EA is they first think "How can we monetize this". Then they try to create a game around that concept. This is why there are failing and getting worse.
The problem with boats is that you have less ground for troops. Difficult as hell to balance. If you make an island, sea surrounds and dominates, and if you make essentially a lake, or straight forward river passages, land dominates. You can't win. Air at least covers the land, and vehicles can weave in and around it. Making use of it, as much as ground troops. Make no wonder 2042 gave up on the idea to sort out sea vehicles.
@18:55 - the whole trailer was a homage to the BF3-4 memes and tricks and daily gameplay that somewhat did happen, like having planted C4's on a quad bike and just ramming whatever, in this case it was helicopter. Technically in the Siege of Shanghai you could've drive up a bike, if I remember correctly, maybe I have false memory with it, confusing with something else, but I think what they meant to show here, was that in this BF2042 it is possible.
I Will miss the Wind suit 😅, they could give it like for all soldiers 😂, but not at all begining, like u need to unlock it after X kills or something else.
Im a hardcore battlefield player but i feel like i have moved on to other games after the downfall of the franchise, i don’t feel like going back ever unless there is a Bf3 remaster, may be occasionally will play BF1. The franchise has come to an end. Sad but true.
IMO if they had a gameplay presentation like the BF4 one for BF'25, they should script it and give silly health pools and directions like before... but don't script it to be like a spec ops hollywood film that they think the average consumer wants. Script it to be the unhinged chaos of a real match. One guy doesn't run forward with a single C4 - everyone in the room unloads with every explosive they have equipped at once, while the enemy tank crew pops out one by one and dies in a hail of gunfire. No helicopter has ever gently dropped me down on the ground ever. Aircraft are spawn locations in the sky for snipers to set up on buildings! This is what the BF 2024 marketing really understood, and I think a marriage of this kind of clear, open gameplay with the "Battlefield Experience" moments is the way to go.
The siege of Shanghai map is still one of my favorites. I just wish these fuckers wouldn't take down the building immediately. I always wanted to start a server where you weren't allowed to take down the building until the last hundred tickets were left.
Even though I loved and played BF4 heaps, I still feel like I didn't appreciate it enough, especially now knowing how the next battlefield games were like. Dice gave us something beautiful for BF4, this is a game that will go down in history
It's all about content at launch(namely maps) Imagine the bomb drop on battlefield players minds. When after they show the 8-12 launch maps. They start showing the portal maps... One by one at a quicker pace. For 30-60 maps. And then say ALL maps at launch.
Ok here it is and i think most ppl can agree. - Basic characters- no specialists - essentially remake BF2 - BF 4 with new graphics- new maps and remake the Titan Game mode from 2142 ( or remake Carrier Assault from BF4). - Boom, there u have a top selling Battlefield, saving DICE from closing their doors in 2027. DICE/ EA - stop thinking so hard about this- don't reinvent the wheel, you all know what the battlefield players want, now do it.
bringing down the tower in shanghai is the tornado in BF 2042. Levelution as an idea was really cool but due to the technology it was way to scripted and limited in scope. If the next BF game is "current-gen only" I feel levelution can have a real chance of being unscripted. Also in the BF 2042 reveal, DICE almost only uses "soldier" skins making it feel way more BF than the game that we got.
Ghost: They need to bring back naval warfare like in bf4. Me: *flash backs of the attack boats having the attack heli cannon with a faster rate of fire... tv missiles on a short cooldown... ecm jammer AND aps... thermal sights... 2 minigums... a back seat that an engineer could just sit on all game and repair any damage taken... AND the ability to spawn ANYONE on the team in it.... AND AND have a detachable 2 seater jet ski that respawns on a short cooldown* (then there is the gosh dang wave mechanics in bf4 that would make 20 foot waves and dips making it IMPOSSIBLE to RPG it) "SILENCE CHILD! You know not of what you speak!" (dont give them any ideas! The attack boat vanished... and no one misses it)
Loved Battlelog. The power to see where you rank among all players in all categories all the way down to your city. I think that's why they got ride of it, because people were using Battlelog to grief players.
I've been playing since BF1942. I have watched the franchise grow, and unfortunately fall. I really hope they go back to their core. Great maps, made for their specific mode + destruction. We'll see.
All that the customers need to do is stop talking about EA and BF. Ignore them until they commit to re- host the old titles again in the servers. We are not paying for more games that will vanish forever in the future. That should be the only customer's "future strike".
Looking back at the commander mode they should have the commander given randomly to SL’s and if they do a bad job they are able to vote him out of it and the next SL that requested in que would be next in line
Something I want them to do with the next BF game (also something I've wanted for years in a BF game) is to incorporate some better vehicle damage models and physics. For example, take a helicopter. If the helicopter clips something, it can lose the component that hit. Stub wing, weapon pod, tail strike takes the tail off and it goes down. They don't always just explode instantly into the same destroyed model. Depending on how it crashes, the occupants could even get out (with entry/exit animations again), similar to what was teased in BFV but never implemented. For lighter vehicles they could get hit by something and flipped, and they can go rolling over and suffer crush damage. These would class as vehicular kills if not necessarily for the occupants. Like an uber enhanced version of the micro damage vehicles had in BC to sell some of the immersion. Imagine a vehicle like a Humvee taking a hit while its rolling down a street, it loses a wheel, flips, veers off and rolls straight through a storefront. It could play into engineers having to repair vehicles to encourage teamplay in order to get things mobile again. Let you use wrecks as cover. Hell, a crippled vehicle with some still active weapons could become a fortification. A disabled Humvee again letting you mount up on the machine gun even though its effectively knocked out.
i hope the next game is more modern based and if they bring back the mortar (my fav gadget) i want it the way it was in bf3, used by hand. made you feel like a badass in bf3 getting kills with the mortar. the commander role should be like how it was on hell let loose you can have the whole map view and play as an infantry to add to your decisions for what your team needs. regarding the characters i want the normal class system back but have the customization of bf5 or ghost recon breakpoint and i would be happy
I’ve been playing bf2042 a ton recently about 80 hours in 2 weeks and I’m having an absolute blast, I pre ordered and even enjoyed it a lot at launch despite all the issues. I personally think it’s the best one since 4.
They need to remove the operators completely from their new game and make a mix of B3-BF4 and BF1 combined all in one,if that happens we gonna get a masterpiece BF Game
there's a reason why they pulled out tablet phone commander mode. for that to work cost of this game at the time wasnt viable with the development times, on top of that fixing the game bug. not to mention languages used for mobile platform is vastly different than frostbite engines.
Thing is they changed the soldiers movements, they are way too fast to look real, back in bf3 and 4 the animation were so real life like you actually felt like a soldier, the load and everything. Games nowadays are way too fadt
I didn’t want cosmetics or specialists, just team play, destruction and multiple platforms for battlelog, we just need the best of BF3 and BF4 with modern graphics. I certainly won’t be pre ordering in 2025.
"foundational features" Problem is that with BF3 they gutted a lot of the mechanical foundations from BF2/2142. Not a suprise that 2042 (and BF1) repeated the same move but 2042's awful launch made everything so much worse (Vs BF1 being the best launch of a BF title ever) made the issue vastly worse. My big fear with the rumor of BF 2025 being "back to basics" is they repeat that same problem of building and then gutting.

Don't front, the tornados were hella cool. Especially when it saved your life. I would always run into them and get whisked away to try and get a better advantage. Shooting from above was priceless!
@@adrian_ricky619 they weren't that bad. It did allow new ways to attack or defend objectives. But at end of the day, they should have focused on the quality of gameplay over the weather gimmick.
These days, the developers are too worried about DEI. I don't think we will see DICE the way it was before. BFV and BF1 were the last of the good BF games. Before that was BF4 and BF3.
I miss commander mode A well coordinated team with a good commander was a nightmare to the enemy, and yes...commander could turn the tide, because dropping UAV over the objective will easily expose everyone on point, or dropping cruise missile on top of C roof and clearing all the campers, or even dropping cruise on E of Shanghai, clearing out hiding spots on 2nd floor and 1st floor below.
The next Battlefield game should drop out of nowhere with no marketing like Respawn did with Apex Legends. Months of hype leading up to a release just ups everyones expectation for the game, and doing so removes the initial criticism/opinions that everyone has before even playing the game for what it is. Look at BO6 rn. Everyone has already drawn conclusions about the game by the couple minutes of footage shown and its still a ways out.
What ever we say they do not listen... From the moment that they said "we have prepared a TREMENDOUS live service game"it was the moment they lost me.... They did not learn nothing from 2042... Remember y all DO NOT PRE ORDER....REMEMBER 2042 what was hyped from the trailers and what we got...a 128 player clone wars battlefield...
Does need to be land air and sea. Squad leaders with calling like cruise missiles maybe artillery strike. Maybe drone strike these are all things that are modern that could use as call in maybe smoke barrage as smoke always needed.
I think if anything they need to skip the whole trailer/hype stuff and just take about 10-15% of the new game and release it to the public it's the only way their really going to win back any player base
I rarely watch streams anymore, so I really appreciate being able to watch this on my own time. Great video, and I couldn't agree more. But the reveal is probably the least of their worries for the next game. We need a game with actual substance first. I really hope they can pull it off.

Yes, I couldn't agree more, I just feel like if you actually show the players some real gameplay, it's going to assuage their fears at least a little bit, as opposed to a cinematic trailer that looks flashy but doesn't really tell you anything about gameplay and polish.
Bring back Artillery, No women, BF4/BF3 bullet drop, 3 hit tanks with Recoilless, 1 hit Aircrafts with anti-air rockets, commander mode considering the power of devices today, 10 sec respawns, levolutions
I want more cruise missiles. Kh01, storms shadows/scalps Taurus missiles, etc... depending on the faction. Bfv call in system can work as a replacement of the cammandor role. Various factions having their dedicated weapons and special vehicle call ins base on the factions weaponry.
The real reason i think you did not get too see any gameplay trailer was because the game was not ready (on release it felt not finished by a long shot). And what a disaster realease and not only that but with a huuuge grain of over confidence in the game (EA tweet about the release). Failing to meet player base expectations (where are the sea units? where is the levelution ? what the fuck are these specialists?) It is like you ordered Battlefield off Temu, yeah i fucking hope people remember what happened here. And not just go off buying pre release.

Very wrong about BF4 naval. We had big attack boats with attached jetskies, hoverboats and rhib boats. Full on naval combat.
I was mentioning BFV then mate, not BF4. I'm saying we haven't had any good naval combat since after BF1.

In BF4 there were attackboats, which were basically like APC's in the water (autocannon, tv missiles etc).

Loved Battlelog. The power to see where you rank among all players in all categories all the way down to your city. I think that's why they got ride of it, because people were using Battlelog to grief players.
I've been playing since BF1942. I have watched the franchise grow, and unfortunately fall. I really hope they go back to their core. Great maps, made for their specific mode + destruction. We'll see.
For once I hope DICE don't forget all the quality of life progress they made in the previous BF and spare us from re asking the whole thing again.

Looking back at the commander mode they should have the commander given randomly to SL’s and if they do a bad job they are able to vote him out of it and the next SL that requested in que would be next in line

Something I want them to do with the next BF game (also something I've wanted for years in a BF game) is to incorporate some better vehicle damage models and physics. For example, take a helicopter. If the helicopter clips something, it can lose the component that hit. Stub wing, weapon pod, tail strike takes the tail off and it goes down. They don't always just explode instantly into the same destroyed model. Depending on how it crashes, the occupants could even get out (with entry/exit animations again), similar to what was teased in BFV but never implemented. For lighter vehicles they could get hit by something and flipped, and they can go rolling over and suffer crush damage. These would class as vehicular kills if not necessarily for the occupants. Like an uber enhanced version of the micro damage vehicles had in BC to sell some of the immersion. Imagine a vehicle like a Humvee taking a hit while its rolling down a street, it loses a wheel, flips, veers off and rolls straight through a storefront. It could play into engineers having to repair vehicles to encourage teamplay in order to get things mobile again. Let you use wrecks as cover. Hell, a crippled vehicle with some still active weapons could become a fortification. A disabled Humvee again letting you mount up on the machine gun even though its effectively knocked out.

i hope the next game is more modern based and if they bring back the mortar (my fav gadget) i want it the way it was in bf3, used by hand. made you feel like a badass in bf3 getting kills with the mortar. the commander role should be like how it was on hell let loose you can have the whole map view and play as an infantry to add to your decisions for what your team needs. regarding the characters i want the normal class system back but have the customization of bf5 or ghost recon breakpoint and i would be happy

I’ve been playing bf2042 a ton recently about 80 hours in 2 weeks and I’m having an absolute blast, I pre ordered and even enjoyed it a lot at launch despite all the issues. I personally think it’s the best one since 4.

My favorite BFs are 3/4 closely followed by BF1. BF1 is so close to me based on atmosphere and sound design. It was the best they've ever released.
They need to remove the operators completely from their new game and make a mix of B3-BF4 and BF1 combined all in one,if that happens we gonna get a masterpiece BF Game
there's a reason why they pulled out tablet phone commander mode. for that to work cost of this game at the time wasnt viable with the development times, on top of that fixing the game bug. not to mention languages used for mobile platform is vastly different than frostbite engines.

Thing is they changed the soldiers movements, they are way too fast to look real, back in bf3 and 4 the animation were so real life like you actually felt like a soldier, the load and everything. Games nowadays are way too fadt
I didn’t want cosmetics or specialists, just team play, destruction and multiple platforms for battlelog, we just need the best of BF3 and BF4 with modern graphics. I certainly won’t be pre ordering in 2025.

Problem is that with BF3 they gutted a lot of the mechanical foundations from BF2/2142. Not a suprise that 2042 (and BF1) repeated the same move but 2042's awful launch made everything so much worse (Vs BF1 being the best launch of a BF title ever) made the issue vastly worse.
My big fear with the rumor of BF 2025 being "back to basics" is they repeat that same problem of building and then gutting.

Don't front, the tornados were hella cool. Especially when it saved your life. I would always run into them and get whisked away to try and get a better advantage. Shooting from above was priceless!

These days, the developers are too worried about DEI. I don't think we will see DICE the way it was before. BFV and BF1 were the last of the good BF games. Before that was BF4 and BF3.
If dice was smart they would just remake bf3/bf4 combine into one game. That’s it.

A well coordinated team with a good commander was a nightmare to the enemy, and yes...commander could turn the tide, because dropping UAV over the objective will easily expose everyone on point, or dropping cruise missile on top of C roof and clearing all the campers, or even dropping cruise on E of Shanghai, clearing out hiding spots on 2nd floor and 1st floor below.

The next Battlefield game should drop out of nowhere with no marketing like Respawn did with Apex Legends. Months of hype leading up to a release just ups everyones expectation for the game, and doing so removes the initial criticism/opinions that everyone has before even playing the game for what it is. Look at BO6 rn. Everyone has already drawn conclusions about the game by the couple minutes of footage shown and its still a ways out.

Does need to be land air and sea. Squad leaders with calling like cruise missiles maybe artillery strike. Maybe drone strike these are all things that are modern that could use as call in maybe smoke barrage as smoke always needed.
They should make game as battlefield 3 with battlefield 1 series and dark atmosphere

I rarely watch streams anymore, so I really appreciate being able to watch this on my own time. Great video, and I couldn't agree more. But the reveal is probably the least of their worries for the next game. We need a game with actual substance first. I really hope they can pull it off.

Yes, I couldn't agree more, I just feel like if you actually show the players some real gameplay, it's going to assuage their fears at least a little bit, as opposed to a cinematic trailer that looks flashy but doesn't really tell you anything about gameplay and polish.
No operators, all classes should look the same. If they MUST do operators do it like battlefront 2 where u can play as them for one life

I want more cruise missiles. Kh01, storms shadows/scalps Taurus missiles, etc... depending on the faction. Bfv call in system can work as a replacement of the cammandor role. Various factions having their dedicated weapons and special vehicle call ins base on the factions weaponry.

The real reason i think you did not get too see any gameplay trailer was because the game was not ready (on release it felt not finished by a long shot). And what a disaster realease and not only that but with a huuuge grain of over confidence in the game (EA tweet about the release). Failing to meet player base expectations (where are the sea units? where is the levelution ? what the fuck are these specialists?) It is like you ordered Battlefield off Temu, yeah i fucking hope people remember what happened here. And not just go off buying pre release.
