Y'know, I like to believe people when they say things like this. But I know better. People say things like this when it suits what's best for their team to wish it & ignore reality when it contradicts the popular memes. Case in point: Justin Fields. Here's his college highlights next to Caleb Williams' ruclips.net/video/5JO1PsupF_U/видео.html. If you count how many times the pass not being put in the correct spot allows the defense to make a play (or should. Somehow Caleb gets insanely lucky & despite floating passes dangerously high, no one on the defense shows up) Fields does this Only Twice. Makes sense if you watch even his lowlight reels & see that many of his incomplete passes are put right on the $, but dropped in the NFL. However, Caleb makes at least ten such passes. So Fields when seen next to Caleb is clearly a better rusher & far more accurate passer & this *has continued* in the NFL. What does anyone say about this guy who throws more accurately than The Second Coming? He holds onto the ball too long" & "he can't read defenses." Even that ruclips.net/video/QuhUbISnr8s/видео.html was never true.
Bo will end up being the best QB of this draft. Because of his intangibles, his mind, and the coaching he will benefit from. Caleb will end up being one of the biggest busts in NFL history because of his mindset and the terrible situation he is walking into.
I agree completely. Caleb is ALWAYS off-schedule or platform. EVENTUALLY, one has to RUN an offense and game plan [especially in the playoffs]. Nix is ready now. Penix is also underrated: though he needs a year to work on the middle of the field progressions and throws. Not EVERYTHING should be outside the numbers.
The most frusterating thing with Russel was when running something like a screen or a shotgun, there would be 3 or 4 guys out, and he'd just stare down his intended target for a couple seconds, and before the play had time to ripen- often as soon as he had to move in the pocket, he'd tuck the ball, lower his gaze and start running for a "lane". There were so many crucial downs where anyone but Sutton got wide open and Russel already had both arms around the ball, head down booking it towards the sideline at the line of scrimmage... He'd rarely connect with anyone but Sutton, (like once a game) and we had a reciever room with tons of explosive runners capable of gaining big yards after the catch. The worst part was the fact that we had such a potent set of running backs and a solid O line (for the first time in over a decade) and they NEVER got the breathing room they needed to pop off in an important game. We'd watch the run get systematically stuffed and every time we would try for a deep ball we'd get to hold our breath for the inevitable 4th down as Russ prematurely scrambled away for a sack or a fumble like a raccoon running from hounds.
Thanks for the brief breakdown! I've missed these!! I'm so excited for Bo Nix to work with Sean Paton and Davis Webb in Denver... someone who will actually work within the frame of the system, read defenses, and hit his targets - not just off-script stuff to attempt to win stuff on his legs. Just need a TE that'll stay healthy, now!
My god my PTSD from watching Russ just not grasp the offense has me curled up in the corner rocking back and forth 😂… Bo Nix looks every part of a 1st round QB talent!
Told people sean payton would pick bo nix. But nobody must watch film or listen to interviews lol. Accuracy and pre snap adjustments more important than throwing 70 passes
Honestly, I don't watch much Bronco football but that 'smash' clip you showed of Jeudy and another WR doing out breaking routes looked like some of the most half ass routes I've seen run in a while. Not a great ball from Russ, but those were some bench worthy routes run by Wilson's WR's. Editing: to comment that Bo Nix is going to be a stud in the NFL and the Bronco's are one lucky franchise to be able to draft him that late when he's better than guys drafted above him significantly.
Never heard of you before. After this video I’m a new subscriber. Awesome video. I hope they sit Bo 1 year and let him learn. It’ll be way better than throwing him into the fire. Sit 1 year or 2. Collect picks build our offensive line. Get him a couple wrs, then bring him in and kill it 👍
Good stuff. My unfortunate guess is Nix is more Teddy Bridgewater than Tom Brady... but 4 years of cost-controlled QB average play is not a bad draftpick. Paton/Payton have to keep eyes open for better options the next few years (don't fall into the Andy Dalton trap, where the QB plays just good enough to never win anything, but too good that the team doesn't draft potential replacements), but I think Nix has some tools that Payton can use for modest success. Biggest concern is one shown in a few of those clips... Nix too often tends to throw off that back foot when under pressure and float it a bit... NFL DBs are far less forgiving of those balls than college kids. E.g. that first Auburn clip could easily be a 50-50 ball pick at the NFL level as NFL DBs will collapse on that backfoot floater. I have said that Nix to me looks like a more athletic Trevor Siemien.... that isn't horrible.... but its not great either. TS had some success before injuries sapped some of his arm, but had that same tendency to float backward and launch it out with dubious accuracy when under pressure.
I missed your breakdowns man. I know most of these clips were plays Russ missed but I was really sad to see his situation unfold. Hope he plays well next season for the Steelers. I’m pretty down on this upcoming season. I just feel like it’s gonna be worse than last year. Hoping Bo can turn things around at the QB position because the Broncos don’t have a good history of drafting QBs. It would be insane to me to see Bo be a bust because he was 1st in basically every category to be graded in.
Curious to see if there’s any focus left over for Zach Wilson and improving his stock… and if so, how will the competition between ZW and Nix turn out because ZW is talented, probably more so than Nix. But for first round picks, there tends to be favoritism.
Knew Bo Nix was a Sean Payton guy made 100 bucks on two bets. My friends a broncos fan told em Bo Nix is literally Brees 2.0 my explanation was ppl call both Brees (at the end of his career) and Bo Nix checkdown merchants. No. If you watch the film Bo like Brees is ELITE at taking what the defense gives him and that’s why he could be a top qb in this class. He’s a slinger as well but it gets over looked because of what Oregon had to do in the short pass game to make up for a non existent run game. Broncos got a steal as far as the matchup with Nix and Payton. He will be better than Russ in that system.
I mean I like what you have to say. And by no means am I 100% correct here. Not to say you don't have full content videos on RUclips, but this is the first video I've ever seen from you and it effectively cuts out 30% of the way in. What does every quarterback need? A running game, and a offensive line that is decent. The Lamar Jackson's, and Patrick Mahome's of the league don't need either. They can still torch you for 35 points a game. If Denver could focus just as hard on the running game it's going to help whoever is throwing the ball on game day. And no one ever speaks to how important special teams are. They can literally put you on the opponents side of the ball with a great punt returner.
You picked bad examples lol, both of those guys have great offensive lines. Mahomes has the 2 best guards in the league and the Raven have a top 3 center
@@brianbadonde9251 Yeah maybe you're right about that. Maybe I gave both QBs too much credit. My point is you need a strong OL and a running game to help whoever is throwing the ball. And for a rookie like Nix, he's going to need all phases of the game to tighten up or he's going to be running for his life all day.
I’m not being negative, but a lot of us in Broncos Country need to see what the Broncos do in the real season, not what Peyton says and acts on in a draft. I’m cautiously optimistic. The same fans excited about Bo’s completion percentage using check downs complained about Bridgewater checking down. Some of the same fans who hated Russell Wilson, who went from 1-5 to 6-5 and beat KC for the first time in six years are suddenly excited about this QB room? Nah, show us 10-12 wins and playoffs SP. This better work or SP needs to be gone.

It would be nice if you could do more series when showing film because everything (especially with Auburn) was NOT a highlight. Oregon's o-line is much better than both Auburn and the Broncos. How did the o-line upgrade translate into some of the problems Bo Nix was faced with in Auburn? Also, the o-line upgrade with much poorer Pac12 defenses made Bo Nix life a whole lot easier. This is NOT me taking away anything form the Nix / Payton fit. I like the fit as well but, the Broncos as a team around a QB, has a long way to go.
Yeah plus there are not enough weapons on Denver offense. Everyone says the line is good and blamed Wilson. But many say it’s complete trash. The new WR might help. My biggest thought is that the situation isn’t great for a QB because of the rest of the team. I wish they would sit him for a bit and use Zack as the starter.
Best QB in the draft, five years from now only Nix and Penix, if he gets traded from Atlanta will be starters. Calab will be one of the biggest busts ever. The other three QB's will be back ups/occasional starter at best.
Let's not forget he was benched in Auburn for a reason, he failed to beat Washington twice last season. He wasn't the best QB in the draft for a reason. I don't want to get to overly excited about Nix until I can see what he does in the NFL. The way we have been with QBs isn't bringing much confidence. I want him to be great and want him to be a franchise QB but hoping for the best but expecting Auburn Bo Nix.
Bo Nix was horrific at Auburn, and the SEC proved that. He had to go to the PAC 12 to look better against inferior competition than the SEC proved against him. BAD Draft Pick again Bronco's! You will be irrelevant for the next 6 years.
It's all about fitting the system and processing the quickest and having the most accurate arm and guess what bo nix is that man that there's no quarterback in this draft that went to a better team that will fit the player that they are Broncos got themselves a winner
Just reverse this trade and have Bo Nix playing for the Jets for the last 3 yrs and Zach Wilson playing for the Ducks for the last 2 yrs...6yr senior and 6 months younger than Zach Wilson. I'm betting he can't beat out Wilson for the starting spot. Zach never had a decent OL or OC his entire tenure with the Jets so this is gonna get good.
Agreed, it's just 1 type of video that gets copyrighted. This is my first time ever watching one of his videos but he's very greedy for showing 30% of a video and trying to make you pay for the rest.
I'll just go watch kurt warner discuss the same exact topics and plays for free and hes actually a professional player not just some greedy content creator
Ya know why the Broncos don’t (and won’t) have a FQB? Because they keep hiring arrogant A-holes that don’t think they need a FQB. “Fits the system” is the most overused cliche in sports.
You lose a little cred by constantly saying "This Kid," about a 24 year old man. You don't lose total credibility that way, but it does make you wonder if you're even aware of his age.

I wish they would sit him for a bit and use Zack as the starter.
great film breakdown way too many plugs at the start
For the Algorithm
Best QB in the draft, five years from now only Nix and Penix, if he gets traded from Atlanta will be starters. Calab will be one of the biggest busts ever. The other three QB's will be back ups/occasional starter at best.
Agree with everything but Caleb a big bust? Lol he's shown nothing to make you think that at this point 😂
40-yd run off of a free-runner: Next Gen Stats "Hmm, yes, 66 athleticism"
I hope he can throw over the middle down field.
2019 alabama had surtain and diggs😂😂
Russ came in and robbed us without a gun ! Excited to see Bo Nix !
At least something to be a little excited about....been too boring for too long!
It stinks of desperation
To much talk and teasing your patron page 👎🏻
🏈🏈🏈🏈
Wow it has been too long
Let's not forget he was benched in Auburn for a reason, he failed to beat Washington twice last season.
Woo Hoo.
I think Payton tries to fix Wilson this year and he’ll have the chance to start. Payton always thinks he’s the smartest in the room.
Bo Nix was horrific at Auburn, and the SEC proved that. He had to go to the PAC 12 to look better against inferior competition than the SEC proved against him. BAD Draft Pick again Bronco's! You will be irrelevant for the next 6 years.
Nice bait
had to turn it off, can't watch any more russ
😂😂😂
It's all about fitting the system and processing the quickest and having the most accurate arm and guess what bo nix is that man that there's no quarterback in this draft that went to a better team that will fit the player that they are Broncos got themselves a winner
this video also proved how bad wilson is lol
fta
Just reverse this trade and have Bo Nix playing for the Jets for the last 3 yrs and Zach Wilson playing for the Ducks for the last 2 yrs...6yr senior and 6 months younger than Zach Wilson. I'm betting he can't beat out Wilson for the starting spot.
Zach never had a decent OL or OC his entire tenure with the Jets so this is gonna get good.
Don't you get enough $ from us with the ads? Why be so greedy with a pay wall? Otherwise great work.
You two are both bobbleheads. Go away and watch something else. Clowns lol.
Ya know why the Broncos don’t (and won’t) have a FQB? Because they keep hiring arrogant A-holes that don’t think they need a FQB.
“Fits the system” is the most overused cliche in sports.
He does better than Russell “The Thief” Wilson… cause anyone is better than that bum!
You lose a little cred by constantly saying "This Kid," about a 24 year old man. You don't lose total credibility that way, but it does make you wonder if you're even aware of his age.
Another drew luck
