Oh man, that final train that went so fast was beautiful to see. Like that was just so exhilarating to see speeds like that on a train, way more than seeing other things go at this speed.
one thing i noticed making hoverpads is making lower distance on the pads makes them more bouncy and more springy, if you reduce the distance it will make them more stiff and less springy
the French Aérotrain was an experimental tracked air cushion vehicle, basically a hovercraft train. the track for the Aérotrain was shaped like an inverted T, this allowed the vehicle to cup the track. it had inwards facing hover pads that pushed off the centerpiece of the track keeping it centered. if you used hover pads that faced inwards on the track, the train would self-center.
So there was a way to break the sound barrier using only the dynamite block but they patched it so it’s not as effective you still can do it, but it’s not like it used to be what yeets you up
Do you have seat controls turned on? If you're using W for thrust the air controls could be pushing your nose downward Also your attempt at adding more stabilisers added more drag, as did spacing out the shield panels which keep you on the track Likewise after you did No-drag glitch you then moved your cockpit back which reintroduced more drag
The consistant disreguard for proper aerodynamics pains me greatly. You dont want arrows PERIOD. of couse, you cant make a vehicle that doesnt exist. So make every arrow the best you can. But when possibpe, you should ALWAYS reduce the number of arrows. You see, Green arrows are bad. red arrows are just far worse.
where did you get this track you used is it a mod or something default in game and is there an easy way to stretch it out like you have it from one side to the other of the work area???
Your drag glitch did nothing because there were still green arrows. You need to cover all the green arrows with detachable red arrow blocks
The aerodynamics of the cover blocks doesn’t matter, so long as they become scrap

You should use hover pads on their sides to keep the train centred instead of wheels

Very cool!
@@ProfNCognito thanks, if you head over to @Project-Air, James made a jet powered RC hover train inspired by the Aérotrain.
Put stiff suspension on the wheel so it's hugging the blocks.(Will keep you steady and will use the curve of the blocks to keep you up)

The aerodynamics behind blocks is still registered
You should have just used hover pads on the inside of the guide walls way less friction
Also if you angle wedges up when going faster thay will generate lift
I use 3 hoverpads 1 on top and 2 pointing towards the track
Interesting
Super speed!!!
Of you have the rescuepack you can use the tailfin rudders for speed

Oh very good point!
I wonder how magnets would work instead of hoover pads? Good breaking when you reversed.
Perhapskis along the inside of the guides below the train and the bottom of the base of the train go speedh
You could use skies on the track
Skis add drag for some reason on the concrete block.
@@ProfNCognito ok
Missed opportunity to invite kAN to any of these levitation train videos

BULLET TRAIN!!!!
You should make a train that goes on two parallel rails
you know that uh skies exist right that would have solved so many of your problems and they have zero drag
@@cosmictheif4669 I tried skies. They actually cause drag on the rail in this case.
@ProfNCognito that's weird it shouldn't be they have no drag on the bottom only air drag
Green ScrapMan?
I thought it was scrapman
The aerodynamics are so bad💀

It's a mod by yeetify
@@ProfNCognito thanks I found it I think I know he references your videos in the description so assume it's the only one.
You need some lessons on aerodynamics
100% yes
ngl, I keep thinking that he's black
