for the LTE do you have to subscribe to Hive or can I use my SIM card?
Any information in what height this should be used, and do you have to "re-calibrate" every time its moved, if i use this on my car and on truck, and on the height could i use it on cabin over truck 2-3m high? Could be nice side hustle as i drive 18 wheeler 1300ish miles a week
That sounds like a really good opportunity you have.
The height of the vehicle isn't the issue. It's more about the positioning to make sure that it is capturing most of the road
If you have two cameras you will get double the earnings, especially if you side mount one of them
I signed up for mine on Jan 31st with the 1k honey bonus (apparently the offer was greater in Dec?). The offer to upgrade in the email is 1.5k bonus. You mentioned that anticipation is the rapid rush bonus might be 3k. Since their FAQ says we'd receive the higher bonus (either original amount or the rapid rush), I'm curious where you heard this 3k figure from and if it carries a lot of merit?

My email as I showed on the video shows a 3,000 honey bonus if I upgrade my order. The December bonus was around 2,500 if I'm not mistaken
As I know they have done a 3,000 honey bonus in the past, so I used that as a basis, although they haven't given us an idea of what the rapid Rush bonus will be. So That part was conjecture

I ordered on Dec 21, and not upgrading to BEE because I think my order will ship in May (their support said), BEE will not ship until July/August. I have two months to do 2000km for 2000 HONEY bonus. With the bonus + earning, I will order BEE then

I don't know what to do with my order. I ordered on the 31st also. My concern is this. Right now we are missing out on thousands of $ in rewards per month by not having the device. If I vacate my order and opt to upgrade, that moves everyone else who keeps their original order up the que. If enough people opt to upgrade, I could get my hivemapper sooner. Im already promised 2,500 honey, an additional 500 honey isn't enough to lose out on mapping rewards for what could end up being half of a year. Also, how many more people will onboard between now and the end of quarter 3 that will cause rewards to go down. Rewards will be higher on this new device but how much higher? I think I may just order a Bee and keep my original order as well.
I was in the same boat as you. To be honest, there are two ways in which you can look at it
I opted to upgrade because I know that in the long term this camera is going to be better.
But as you quite rightly mentioned, you are missing out on more rewards now
An option you could have is to keep your old order and just invest the amount that you would spend on the upgrade on honey tokens.
Maybe we can both see who made the right decision 😄
I'm with you. After I make my money back I could go for the better one while still keeping my old on (coming no later than June) in the meantime. Also there is no guarantee that the upgraded one will come in in Q3 and won't be buggy.

Ordered HDC Dec 27, decided to stick with the order, "a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush." Even if the earnings are nuked now, the token has appreciated to where the airdrop for our order exceeds the price we paid, so we're being paid to put the original HDC in our car. That's about the only way you can beat free.

The new devices will start shipping from July through August. After hearing the date of my original device, I asked them to revert it to my old order. I'd rather have it in June and use it for 2 months

Don’t Do It. Do not upgrade. Go make you your $$ and buy a new BEE. I make 2k a week now with 2 cameras. So getting this in October you will loose 8 months that’s 32 weeks you just lost at least with one camera 20k. Don’t upgrade.

@@shakester2010 you do know that you only able to map 1h 15m after sunrise and 1h 15min before sunset. So not a lot of advantage if you are a delivery or truck driver.
Every device will not have cellular connectivity… only the 4g model.
Dont buy! If you uograde they say you hold your place but then you wait abother 3 months! I cancelled all my orders its almost like bobcat miner the wait and the price dropped so bad!
