Those two features had been missing from AD, even though it already standard in AI and inkscape. So This is huge! because in my opinion AD still the best when working with vector+raster combination. Do you happen to know whether we're also able to simplify paths now?

There is a delete option for the Node Tool called Fit to Curve Delete Node. It better estimates the shape of your curve when deleting nodes between other nodes.
