Nomad, I’ve been waiting years and years for old Channel 7 broadcasts of Wallabies games from 95-99! And here you are! I have an extensive collection of league matches (I know, I know) so trust me mate, I understand the time, energy and money it takes to digitalise these old recordings from tape. These were seminal games for Aussie rugby and for my own following of the sport. Even the Channel 7 intro brought back incredibly happy memories for me as an early teenager first discovering the magic of rugby. Keep up the awesome work mate!
And to cap it off i am not very good at it. Better now than the fumbling mess I was making back in 2012 and 13. I am a sports follower. Grew up wanting to be Arthur Beetson and then Tom Raudonikis. Ended up in rugby but have no bias. I just reckon if you are watching league then put your league hat on and so on and so forth. I actually very much enjoy the tactical battle of the NFL. Anyway glad you enjoy. I do enjoy the introductions to this day
@@dishevellednomad You've certainly mastered it! I've actually heard that about NFL.. never given it a go myself. But I guess if it wasn't for the tactical battle, who would bother watching it? haha.
NFL is an interesting one, I guess I enjoy the whole thing, but look a bit deeper into training regimes etc etc, but the tactical battle is something, every play, set defence, hard to break down. I was a reluctant rugby coach back in the day, juniors, didn't want to do it but there was no one else to coach this group of kids in an area not renowned for rugby, much more rugby league and private schools. I worked my way through a few levels, nothing grand but ended up coaching a qld side (juniors ) and one of the academies. With that went trips to seminars with lots of different coaches of different levels and sports. One guy from the AFL was interesting, and another guy that was all about changing the mindsets, drills involved for example the size of the grid changing halfway down, he was excellent, swore alot too. Some of the worst (in my opinion) were the Wallaby coaches of the era, particularly one of the scrum coaches, his entire session related to "you must fark them" and everyone in the team must be able to play in the front row, nothing technical at all, nothing tactical. From those days way back then I never discount anything much, work life, recreation life, sporting life. Rabbiting on a bit there but I can do that some times.

Interesting how the captains intorduce the team.
These are customs we should introduce back into the game, I think.
Well after today's thrashing this seems weird to watch.
I know they were doing the best they could but the referees were probably half the reason you won or lost 😂😂😂
