This is a cartoon WAY funnier as an adult, and rightfully so. The people had a damn blast making this and it shows so well. I'm glad the show got a good standard of 52 episodes, worth our time.
When the show got canned, the staff decided to get back at the network by going nuts in their second season. The Pig cutaways were also improvised by Tino Insana.
Sometimes there's that one line from an episode that triggers your memories of a show. For me it's when they used Pip as a claw machine in the restaurant episode: "To the left! Left!! Okay...toy binoculars. That's only kind of lame."
After his one starring episode, Geraldo never tried to expose the animals again and although Bingo vowed to return, he only made a cameo in the finale of the intro. One could wonder if they would’ve followed up on these things if there was a third season.
I recently got to meet Jeffrey Garcia (voice of Pip) at a convention, and asked who he preferred working with, Kevin, James, or Chris Hardwick, and he preferred the former.
Hey dude. Jimmy Neutron and Barnyard are my favorite 3D animated movies and shows on Nickeldeon. A childhood masterpiece. The references and scenes are funny! There's also the complete series on DVD and Amazon Prime. Including Tak and the Power of Juju. Good video game and a good cartoon.
The cliche plot lines don't bother me as much, because much like Phineas and Ferb, they tend to play up how stupid they are. Like the Buyer episode. Them thinking the farmer is selling the farm is a dumb cliche, but I them having an entire montage calling the animals out for not knowing their owners last name brings it back to being funny to me. Also, I find it ironic that the gag at the end of the treasure hunting episode portrays Peck as the show's butt-monkey, when Otis seems to get more hurt then him.
@@owenkeys3937 yeah as a kid I thought it looked ugly and I generally disliked 3d shows so I always skipped them and watched something else or played a video game instead.

I'm still watching this one, but I will say I watched a lot of this show when it was on. I forgot most of it, but Ive remembered nearly every episode youve brought up. Its one flashback after the other. The only episode I remembered priror to watching this was the one where the pig wants to fuck the gold digger. Barnyard was weird because I think I found it more irritating than funny but I still watched it a lot.

It is a super mixed bag. I don't think it's unreasonable to dislike this, but it does manage good jokes every now and then, in my opinion at least.
