Your Dad’s sampler absolutely took my breath away. It is gorgeous! Your heart must be so happy every time you look at it and remember all your wonderful memories of him ❤
I do love having it done for him. ❤
I love your tips on how the frame tells more of the stitched pieces story! I also love the Tula project bag you got- so cute! It makes my heart HAPPY!!
Watching your flosstube always makes me happy. 😃 I really appreciate your insight and perspective.
I stitched Home Sweet Home while watching tonight - it made me HAPPY!
Always happy to see another one of your Flosstubes posted. Thank you for the framing suggestions. Looking forward to your next Flosstube. TFS.

Beautiful stitching as always! I loved your framing examples and your explanations on the reasons for each choice. The “barn/manger” frame is perfect! You’ve also got me checking out all of those great Etsy shops!

Your FlossTubes always make me "happy"!!
It makes me happy that you watched my video - thank you, Catherine!
I am happy to see you today and visit.
Tula Pink always makes me happy! I love Sullivan’s ball tip needles, highly recommend.
I am always happy to see your videos! Have fun in Nashville!
One thing i like to use instead of paper towels is the Swedish dish cloth. They can be thrown into the washing machine and be used over and over again. I got mine from Amazon. The other thing i got is from my neighborhood dollar store, Daiso. It is a telescopic handle bathroom tub and tile scrub brush. I got it as a recommendation from my chiropractor. Squatting down to scrub the bathroom tub was throwing my spine out of alignment. It can also be purchased from Amazon. I love your enthusiasm for stitching and seeing your beautiful projects. It makes me happy.
Happy to visit with you again!!
Gorgeous stitching - happy colors are my jam ❤
Hi! I'm always happy seeing hour flosstube! I love your frames and tips! Thanks ❤
Thank you!
Sew happy to see you on again! Love, love, love your finishes! I must get the Happy Christmas kit❣️🙌🏻
So happy to see you. I love the patterns with the matching tins.
Beautiful sampler in memory of your Dad!! Thanks for sharing your stitching on floss tube.
Emily
Thank you Emily!
My birth mother's family is from Germany so I am happy when you talk about your heritage. Especially enjoyed the portion on framing -- locally I have a framer from England and she and I are a great team!
Hi Desiree! Fun that you also descend from German ancestors!
Beautiful stitching and lovely finishes and frames! Thank you for sharing all of the tips! I love how you spotlight other creators! It makes me happy to see your videos! 😊I love the house rows piece! How cool!
Thank you, Bethany!
I love a good long video. Have a happy and safe drive to Market.
I always enjoy your videos, I learn so much and always gain inspiration! The sampler for your Dad is stunning, it makes me feel happy just looking at it💖✨
Thank you! It makes me feel happy too. 🙂
That's a beautiful sampler, love the color & personalization. Great charts, very cool frames. Agree to stitch that chart can be stitched as a whole or make small pillows. Since there are so many designers now, I'd be happy to try some new ones each year. I think stitchers should challenge themselves, try a higher count fabric or brand, learn a specialty stitches, read up on new gadgets to assist in stitching or finishing pieces. Learn to throw out a needle quicker if your floss begins to fray. Mine have been breaking at the eye. Put a note in your planner AND into your project bag, so when the floss you ordered arrives you know where it goes!!!! I still have orphan overdyed floss that I have NO idea where they belong. Enjoy Nashville Market! So glad you got to know Jean. 💞
Great ideas - thank you for sharing, Dee!
Sheri I always enjoy your videos. They are always interesting and relaxing to watch as I stitch.
Thank you, Kathy!
Enjoyed your framing tips/suggestions. Your dad’s blue sampler is framed beautifully. Using a lap board/desk makes me happy while stitching.
Thank you, Christy!
Always happy to see one of your videos pop up. That piece in memory or your father is nothing short of spectacular! The framing is just perfect for it. I also love how you added in the wording color on the Christmas Quaker. Safe travels going to market.
Thank you Jeanne!
I love watching your flosstube and it always makes me happy
Seeing your regular comments makes me happy, Georgie!
One thing on my go-to list lately has been the Pip and Chip Needle Mates. They are not new, but are a great way to work on a big project and keep threads and needles organized. I purchased the blank ones and use a black oil-based paint marker to draw the chart symbol for the colors. Having one needle for each color makes stitching fun and efficient. I keep the magnetic needle mates on a metal board to see them all at once. Love your videos and I hope you have a safe and wonderful time in Nashville. happy
That looks great - just ordered a set. Thank you for mentioning it!
Look forward to your videos. I love samplers but stitch on Aida. Your father’s sampler is beautiful! I was so happy to see your videos today
Thank you, Rita!
I also enjoy Tula’s happy prints and really appreciated your advice on framing
😊you make me❤ happy when I see that you put up floss tube.
I'm happy that you watch my videos!
I was happy to see your Flosstube as always! Your Christmas Quaker is stunning!! Maybe share your favorite coffee brand?
Thank you for sharing. Your flosstube makes me happy.
Thank you for watching, Loretta!
Sheri your framed pieces are gorgeous, the frames really show off your beautiful stitching. Your flosstube makes me happy. Safe travels to Nashville. I like using a tray next to me as I stitch, it holds my phone, threads, scissors and pattern.
I love trays, too. So useful and then nothing rolls off the table.
The one thing I purchased lately that I really like are Pony Black needles. Since Pat Carson needles have gone out of business I've been searching for a replacement. I think I like these Pony Black needles more than the Pat Carson ones. They aren't quite as flexible or bendy and the eye is bigger, which I love. Thanks for all the fantastic eye candy. I love it all!
I loved Pat's needles too. Right now, I think Edmar is a close second to them, but will have to try the Pony's again. I think I tried the white tipped ones, which were a little more draggy than I like.
I bought a Sprocket and it is great. Perfect pics for documentation.
Stitching makes me happy
Thank you for sharing all of your finishes and information about framing. I always enjoy your videos. I can’t wait to see all of the Nashville Needlework Market new releases. It’s a happy time of year for the cross stitch community! 😊
It's a very happy time for our community - always fun!
Always happy to see you! Have safe travels to Nashville. I have changed my philosophy on stitching. I was stitching like it was my job, hell bent on getting it finished. Now, I’m taking my sweet time and enjoying the stitching so much more. Now off to peruse your market patterns! 🩷
Oh definitely enjoy the stitch. It's much more fun!
Beautiful Framing!!!
I love that crocheted a gogo piece.
Thank you Sheri for all the things you share with us. Your videos are a fountain of information. I am always making a note of some item to follow up on (and that makes me happy). Sorry, I do not have a suggestion for your 3 things at the moment.
Christine from Ontario, Canada
Thank you, Christine!
Your videos make me so happy. I needed some fun ideas. I appreciate the frame tips.
Thanks for watching, Carol!
Loved your framing suggestions. Your dad’s piece is just beautiful all framed. What a special tribute. I would be so HAPPY to have that sweet little accessory bag. I had to stop your video (sorry) and go check her out. Thanks for a great video as always. Happy Stitching 🪡😊
Thank you!
The framing was helpful, thank you for sharing! I’m happy today, this Saturday, just stitching along, doing not much that is adulting, but relaxing with my 40ct, which is a first for me so a bit challenging for sure!
I'm glad you're trying 40 count. Give your eyes a day or two of stitching on it to adjust, and then you'll love it!
Always happy to see your videos. Your 3 things are always interesting. One of my favorite things is a nail polish top coat. Essie gel setter top coat. My polish lasts a week.
I am going to have to find that - thanks for the tip!
Happy to see you again, love live your finishes!!❤
Thank you Janie!
I am always happy to see that you have posted a new flosstube. I always learn so much from you and I look forward to your three things segment and think your suggestions are amazing. Would it be possible to do some suggestions on the history of samplers and where to find more information? Thanks, Janine
It would be possible as soon as I learn more about it all! Seriously - I love samplers, but am not an expert by any means. I'd love to learn more, too.
Awesome stitching!
Sheri, your dad's piece is so lovely. 😊
Thank you, Katherine!
I love your videos because I always learn so much. It makes me happy!
I'm so glad!
Beautiful finishes! Love your bowl of tiny word pillows💕 progressive readers…. Also helps once you figure out when to tilt your head or not! Took me while to be able to walk wearing them, without getting dizzy… had to learn to tilt my head down more, so wasn’t looking through the bottom (highest magnification area) while walking! Lol. Such a cute project portfolio- whimsical kitty fabric💕
I think there is a big learning curve with them, but if I can figure it out, it sounds like I will like them!
Sheri, loved seeing your finishes, and your framing tips were great. Your friend’s idea for the 4 Seasons is so smart! Your had some beautiful new charts to share, I’m being drawn in more and more to samplers. The Christmas Quaker has been calling my name, but have been thinking I want to switch the green and red. 🤦🏼♀️. Thanks so much for sharing you art. Peg 💛
You should do that Christmas Quaker. Truly one of my favorites to stitch, and of course I love having it up on the wall!
Your videos always inspire me and teach me something. Thank you sew much.
Thank you for watching, Jacqueline!
Love your dad’s finish, that blue looks great. Some good ideas about framing a piece that I never thought of, thanks for the tips. Your friend, Cheryl’s piece is just beautiful. HAPPY to listen to your videos.
Thank you, Judi!
One of my 3 things lately is “everything but the bagel” dip at Trader Joe’s. I’m working on healthy eating and oh my gosh. It is delicious with celery! Who ever thought I’d look forward to eating celery?? I get so happy at lunch, I’ve subbed out chips for carrots and celery and it is my favorite part of my work day. ❤. Enjoy market!!
I had no idea they had a dip. I am heading to Trader Joe's soon!
I’m so happy that you’re remastering the Birds of a Feather charts. They’re my favorite designer, so I’m excited to add more to my collection. I am also obsessed with Tula Pink fabric; I adore the Tabby Road collection.
Aren't the Birds of a Feather wonderful? Those designers were so creative.
Your samplers are beautiful. I would be happy to have a Tula pouch.
I'm having a happy evening evening with a bit of snow
I was Happy to see your video pop up. Thank you for framing information. I cannot cross stitch eithout a needle threader. My husband makes sure there are no burrs on them or if they do he files them off. I am stitching on comfort lighthouse right now.
Needlethreaders are great - thanks for the reminder!
Thank you for the ideas for framing, always afraid I will pick the wrong one.
Concerning the long picture with the narrow frame that u didn't like, let me just say the black on the inside and the outside of that frame made those colors pop. Beautiful
Thank you, Linda!
My grandparents also came from Germany and met in Nebraska. They were the only ones from their families that came so I did not know their families and my grandmother died when my mom was 11. I know nothing her. Loved hearing your thoughts on framing. The piece for your dad is so beautiful!!! Always happy to watch while I’m stitching, no matter how long it is!
Fun to hear your grandparents were also from Germany!
sheri, i have progressives that i wear most of the time. but when i was working, switching between computer screen and up close, i had a pair of glasses that had only 2 levels of magnification (vs 3 in reg progressives). they were so much easier to use in that setting-- not constantly shifting my gaze up and down to find the right spot!
Ohhhh - well maybe that's what I need. I will look into that. Thank you!
Your framed pieces are all beautiful! I had to order a set of Tabby Road booklet pouches based on your recommendation. Like you, I *could* see them myself, but I’d rather be stitching. 🤣 I’d be happy to get a matching notions pouch. One of my favorite things is my Cocoknits Maker’s Board; I use it to hold my pattern, and attach my tools (threader, tweezers, etc.) with magnets.
I've seen that from Cocoknits - might need to order one. And you will love the booklet (and of course the Tabby Road!)
The sampler you did for your father is absolutely stunning. Of course all of your work is stunning but that one is just gorgeous. I really enjoyed your segment on picking frames for your pieces. I had never considered that. Do you always put glass on your stitched pieces? Thank you for a great video. HAPPY
Thank you, Kathleen! I put glass on them 99% of the time. It just feels like they will be kept cleaner that way.
I like all your beautiful stitching! Thank you for sharing. Just a suggestion about your progressive lenses. I have been wearing them for years. But I have a professional optometrist check my eyes and a professional company (family vision) install the lenses in my frames. I had someone install them one time and I couldn't figure out why I was having trouble seeing. I went back to my regular installer and he said that they were set way to high in the frames. When he had them redone, I was fine. So...all that being said(LOL!) have them professionally done. Hope this helps.
Yes, I think that makes a lot of sense. I will look into that!
That is beautiful! Love the blues.
Thank you, Cathy - and congratulations on your win!
That little portfolio would be nice for the tiny towns patterns.
Perfect for that!
Great video.
Thank you Wilma!
With your transition glasses the trick is learning not to move your head and to move your eyes! LOL Ask me how I know! Love your flosstube!!!
Ha - ok, will give that a try!
Sheri...... I believe that was the February cat.... Fevrier....... not January?? Cute nonetheless! Your father's sampler is an exquisite piece - and the frame is a beautiful compliment. Thanks for sharing - stay warm over there!!!
Hi Lori! That blue one on ice skates was January (Janvier). Here is the listing: www.coloradocrossstitcher.com/collections/birds-of-a-feather/products/janvier-birthday-cat-by-birds-of-a-feather. The February (Fevrier) one is in a red dress with hearts and she will be up on the website next week! They're all so cute.
I will be happy when winter is over, and spring arrives. Your father’s sampler is absolutely stunning. It’s just gorgeous.
Thank you, Jana!
🪡👍🏽
Happy
I always learn something new from your videos. I'm not sure if you have any experience working with 7 count or 10 count fabric. I want to make a large pillow using Teresa Koguts Santa. I don't know when to use Valdani VS DMC. How many strands? What size needle?
That Prairie Schooler Santa I showed in this video was done on 7 count. I'd use all six strands of floss for a 7 count like that. Needle size - probably 22? Not sure and I can't remember what I used!
Progressives are wonderful. Give yourself time to get used to them. Move your eyes and not your head when looking. I would however say that it can make a world of difference between a cheap pair and a doctor prescribed and good lens pair. Also when they are fitted properly it is a wonderful thing. I had worn prgressives for years. No issues. then after glaucoma surgery I got a cheap pair while waiting for my new prescription. and ugh they were terrible. The lenses were rather distorted and the measusrement of where the corrections were located were off. Just got my new ones from the eye doctor. Back in business wonderful!. Clear on top then graduates down to readers on the bottom. They are also wonderful for my stitching. So long story give them some time and consult with your eye doctor.
Well that sounds good - I will keep trying, and talk to my optometrist!
@@ColoradoCrossStitcher I will be looking forward to hearing how you do. 🙂
I would be so happy if i would win that little pouch!!!!
In UK we get prescription glasses called varifocals, very expensive but useful.
Interesting - varifocals! I will have to check into better options for myself. 🙂
It snow here in Utah!😢
But I enjoy your floss tube. Can you tell me how to get that Love pattern that is behind you, please?!?
That's actually a printed piece. Cute though!
@@ColoradoCrossStitcher Thank you! I love it!!
I am so glad you do floss tubes!
Take care in traveling to Market!🎉

@ you are so awesome!! 😎 Thank you Miss. Sheri!!!
❤
I read 38 books last year!
That sounds great!
What book did you say you used for your focus word motif? Thank you
www.coloradocrossstitcher.com/products/ultimate-sampler-motifs-source-book-by-the-sampler-company?_pos=1&_psq=ultimate&_ss=e&_v=1.0. Ultimate Sampler Motifs book. It's on our homepage, if you scroll down past the first (main) photo.
🐨👍
Do you frame at your shop?
I kept watching.Haha. Can you reply with her email bc I couldn’t understand the name. Thanks!
I use Hephaestus Frames and Sydney and Sheryl are at the shop on Saturdays from 11-5. But you can also email them and send your pieces in. Their email address is: hephaestusframes@gmail.com
Their email address is: hephaestusframes@gmail.com
The trifocals are great buttttt get the lines not the gradients. All the difference.
Ok - will check into that. Thank you!
You need to move your head up and down not your eyes for your readers.
Well, that's what I was trying, and then a few people on here have told me to move my eyes, not my head! I think there is just a learning curve that I need to get used to. 🙂
