Dalton was THE Bond, quintessential in every way. Human, funny, serious, tenacious and lethal. He was the soul of James Bond, the assassin, 00 Agent, the lover, protector and patriot. Beautiful vocals and such a powerful song, absolutely stunning!
One of the funniest Bond was in The Living Daylights, when he’s stealing the cargo plane and telling the girl to drive in the back. She can’t tell what he’s trying to say and he gives this look like he’s so tired of her nonsense, he might jus leave her. I felt that moment.
@@synthvault A View To A Kill it's a great song, but it sounds very much like an 80s song. License To Kill isn't quite as of its time and does hold up better in that sense.

It's hard to describe that growl, it's awesome to listen to, but any woman whose voice sounds like that...you know you'd better tread carefully.

Licence to Kill - an underrated gem of the James Bond franchise with a realistic villain. Timothy Dalton - A James Bond that deserves far more credits.
I completely agree with you. License to Kill is my favorite James Bond movie. Timothy Dalton did an awesome job of playing James Bond. I wish he could of been in more Bond movie. He was only in two License to Kill and the Living Daylights.
I agree. I'd also tell Moore to have retired one movie earlier and had Dalton start with A View to a Kill. His movies would then have had the best Bond intro songs of any Bond, and 4 movies in total would have been a great run for him.
Totally agree, this is my favourite Bond film of all time because it's got more thrilling action and it's a revenge story. Pierce Brosnan's movie aren't bad, I stopped watching them when Daniel Craig took the role
This has a special place in my heart too. A favourite memory as it was a film my dad and I went to watch together when I was 15. Was lovely time spent with him looking forward to watching it on the big screen, a memorable performance by Timothy Dalton and this song just blew me away. The combination of it all was magical❤

Hmm. Dalton and Lazenby are my favorites after Sean. Humanity. Hm. If by humanity you mean a ruthless streak and a no holds barred-no questions asked- shoot 1st aske questions later... then I'm inclined to agree. For me LTK was a watershed moment. Starting from the movie theme which is R&B and the 1st of its kind to be used in a 007 film, to the changing of decades ...80s going into the 90s...the color scheme ...the fast pacedness which was to be a very 90's thing...but also the 1st movie in which Bond went rogue on a personal vendetta. Dalton played it to a T. Avenging his friend. Ditching the secret service. No cavalry in the finale. Dalton did it all solo. The most underrated Bond.
This has always been one of my favorite Bond theme songs. It's so stirring with such powerful vocals. Beats hands down any other Bond theme to have come out since then, with the possible exception of Chris Cornell.

I LOVE Daniel Craig as James but for me Timothy Dalton will always have a special "James Bond" place in my heart.
what a mesmerising voice......warm and supple!
I'm really digging the backup singer's dance moves at the beginning, wish there was more of that.
I get they were going for a music video here and not just a standard "silhouette of hot women" bond intro but damn what a tease.
Eternally my favorite Bond song, followed right up by Tina's Golden Eye. You just can't buy Goddess talent, class and urgency ❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
Gladys Knight 8 yrs. later still rocks one of the greatest Bond film themes ever!
Das tolle an Bond sind nicht mal sosehr die Filme, sondern die immer wieder einmalige Music...pure Wahnsinn'ssongs...💃🏼🕴🏻🎤🎩
licence to kill - one of my favourite soundtracks
Perhaps, the perfect Bond theme song! A thrilling combination of the Gladys Knight's powerful, stunning vocal performance with a classy, bold orchestral arrangement. And, Timothy Dalton was a vastly underated Bond. He could easily have done another two Bond films.
Best bond movie ever .and great song.
Rapidly becoming acknowledged as one of the best Bond movies.
Oh its been my Favorite for a while.
manicmonochrome I find it’s more realistic and shows the more brutal side of the spy game in the bond world
Gladys Knight smashed this out of the park. Terrific vocals, great song and I actually loved the movie too
