People nowadays just stan a group just because they are handsome. Im not saying winner is not handsome but come on winner is one of the most talented group ever. ALL WINNER's songs were self-composed and written by themself. They dance very well. and Seunghoon is the choreographer. They do everything and not just buy songs/dance from other people. Wake up guys, winner is so talented but so underrated. They deserves more than what they deserves right now.
We should support them even they're not too big internationally.. But they have many talents than other group that only shows their handsomeness... I am a multifandom, & I know which group that I stand..
Not to hate anyone, but it still surprises me how Winner debuted with this concept when bands lik BTS didn't adopt this style until a year after. It's sad that Winner couldn't have the success they deserved; this still remains one of the best kpop songs I've ever heard.
Their debut is a huge success, they swipe all the charts, all their song on their debut album are on top 10 in all Korean chart, not until YG put them in hiatus after debuting for almost two years without any news of comeback and lost half of their fandoms. They are still successful until now even they have small fandom
@@mercado4501 Yeah, that's true, but I remember a lot of people complaining and not liking the first songs because they were too soft. Even YG fans complained. Most of their fans were new, which is good, but they disappeared just so fast for that same reason when their hiatus came. What I meant is that, if they had debuted a couple of years later, they probably will be just as successful as they were supposed to be. I know they're still popular in Korea, especially Mino, but they just deserved more.

For me it's not about having a fast upbeat song, this song is just pretty bland. Empty is better but this one is just lacking some flavor, some feeling... it's just not there.

Just listen to winner b-sides, some of them still have this kind of Genre/vibe. But if you still can't find it, then probably the thing you miss is taehyun voice

I like the fact that YG made sure that Winner's debut is very different from their senior's, so that people won't keep comparing them to their seniors from the start. But gave them a chance to be seen and appreciated for whom they are. I'm a Vip/Blackjack and i'm totaly loving Winner. Can't wait for them to compete on music shows. All the best :).

Just because it didn't meet your expectations, it doesn't mean it's not good. Not everyone and everything will please you. If it doesn't fit your taste and style, it means it's not for you. So It's just that annoying to see people pointing out that they're disappointed and such. Winner is for the people who appreciates them and to those who see how good they are. Winner is not for ungrateful, discontented and hateful people who complains everytime.
For those who said they are dissapointed with WINNER genre or debut song, sorry if their colour cant match with your taste. For me this is one of the best thing that they can offered to us at the moment. Think it wisely this only a debut song. They still and will have a lot of thing to treasure in the future. Give them some chances. But i have no problem with their colour actually. I love them and i knew this kind of genre is really suit them. I know a lot of people have so much and high expectation on them because they came from YGE (which is famous and more to hip hop genre) and we have waiting for so long to see they debut but always remember that YG not a typical company which is they will debut a group if he see something different about them. It just came to me. When Taehyun was still with Winner, they did ballad and indie songs (which I really love) but when he left they totally changed their style. Maybe Taehyun felt that their music wasn't in the same direction. Maybe he felt that right from the start his style was different from yg. That's why they were different unlike other Yg artists who leaned more on the hip-hop style. It pains me to see Winner as 4 and I'll never look at them the same again. But right now I love Winner and Nam Taehyun just as they are and I both love their styles of music. I fully support both of them. Winner and Nam Taehyun, fighting! Sorry, I rambled on hehe
If you watch WIN YG sajangnim actually really like NamTae's style, he even got his own solo. I'd say it's the general who were complaining about Winner debut songs but me as a fan since Team A I really love it. Then YG sajangnim asked Seungyoon to stop using his guitar, he started writing more upbeat title songs and was well received. As Inseo I still love those too but mainly the whole album is better because from there I can find the old feel that I love.
It's true :) he left coz of mental issues and yg wants them to make trendy music. He left and pursued the music tht he really wants ;) I'm happy for them still. But I miss him with winenr fvl
This is like a group that complements the strengths and weaknesses of the group, Taehyun with the ballad and indie genres, Mino with the hip hop genre, and other members as well (I'm not really into Winner yet).

for people who are "disappointed"by lack of upbeat title tracks and what not, u need to understand how debuts work in the kpop industry a debut most of the time isn't meant to be a hugely popular track but rather setting the tone for the artist/group and gives an impression to the audience in the case of winner, its to strike a difference from bigbang, and set themselves as a sleek,young,model-like group who writes music that expresses their own emotions and thoughts the title tracks fit perfectly for their debut image, and this would eventually develop into big hits as they continue on their career they have a great future ahead of them!

Glad they debuted, this is still my fav song of winner until today .. They stand out so much as compare to other groups and this song got me hook at first listen as compare to empty even though empty was the song that swipe the charts
when kpop was all about cute girls cute guys and sweet, innocent songs YG debut BB and 2NE1 with hip hop, upbeat, elec songs. Now when kpop is finally catching up they debut Winner with heartfelt, lyrical, smooth ballad songs. Just like back then with BB and 2NE1, haters gonna hate, but sooner or later they're gonna realize a new trend has arrived. That's YG baby!!!
this is so ridiculously perfect I can't find any words to describe it. This song really has winner colors, and the video... I'm just speechless. It's so full of feelings. I cried, I just felt so connected by the way they sang and expressed their feelings in the video. I don't even know anymore... I just want to bow down to these boys. I fell in love with KSY's voice in this song. So full of emotions he reminds me of Bommie. One strong point of Winner is they are all talented musicians. They write and compose, which other debutant boy groups can claim that? Contrary to popular opinions of their title songs being mellow and boring, Im actually glad they did the classy approach. It's different and refreshing. They look like theyve been in the business for years

I'm sorry for comparing but i just wabted to say that because they reminded me a bit like B.A.P but they are also so very different. I wish they debuted earlier though... Plus one of them reminds me of Himchan but he's more feminine, also i apologise because i don't really know them much but i have watched some of the winner episodes...
So many people miss this era of WINNER, I mean, the ballad era. Like empty,babybaby, or even color ring. But for me their new era (since really really) is way better. Because I don't know why, WINNER is really good at bringing ballad vibes so if they're singing a sad song, it will be so hurt to hear. Like I think "do they really feel this pain?" But when hear WINNER sing happy or beat song, it's really fun to hear them. Well, everyone has opinion and it's a proof that WINNER really makes and sings very well!

WINNER has never been the hip-hop style like BIGBANG. They are more prone towards ballad and stuff like that. I think the one who can pull of the hip-hop style is Team B :)

they should have hold this song for a 2015 comeback then made an MV for Smile Again to promote with Empty. this lonely song was overshadowed by Empty but this could have also been a separate comeback single.
I went to a korean shop here in my country and dang it! The songs they are playing are all WINNER and BIGBANG songs! And it made me so happy because there are lots of korean groups out there but they chose WINNER and BIGBANG songs to be played as background music on their newly-opened store :D
I remember when people were all like "Oh YG, why did you debut them with ballads!? They're not gonna succeed like this!!" And then our dear Winner just SLAYED. Winning the best rookie award in practically every freaking award show program. While every other company debuted their boy groups with the hip hop or cutesy concept, Winner only had 2 title tracks put out, both ballads (excluding the occasional Don't Flirt performances in Inkigayo) yet they still blew everyone else out of the competition. SO proud, these kids are gonna go far. Their music has depth, they each have their special characteristics, and they're DIFFERENT. love it. woot, Winner fighting!
I like it that YG treats WINNER not as a rookie, I know YG gave Winner a very unique debut teasers (and ofc it attracts attention) , but the MV itself is so promising, and not a cheap MV boring plot or whatsoever. I had summer classes and I went to the bathroom for 20 minutes so I could watch the mvs. It makes me so happy that they can prove to people that they were worth the hype and all the music chart kills. For me, WINNER already debuted a long, long, long time ago. They got to compose songs, had missions, and performed upbeat songs in 'WHO IS NEXT'. They had many inspiring songs too. They had powerful dance choreos. They opened a cocert. They had a reality show. For me they had debuted as Team A and just changed their name.

WINNER are Kings to me because they are Artists write and compose all their music, fashion icons, models, reality tv stars, actors. YOON is respected for his vocals by old legendary singers, 6 straight wins on king of the mask singer the only idol to do that. MINO respected in the Korean hip hop community came 2nd on show me the money. Korean hip hop community don’t usually see idols as good rappers and have prejudice but MINO and only a few idols are respected. MINO been in Paris for Louis Vuitton runway first idol to do that, his artwork been in London SAATCHI gallery. Winner are kings

Am I the only one who likes Color Ring better than Empty? Color Ring's lyrics are so profound and sad, amazed at KSY and the other members' capabilities of bringing out such sadness in a song. Empty is amazing too, just that the lyrics, though very meaningful, are kind of restriced to 'I'm empty without you', while Color Ring is much more than that.

If you have watched literally anything about WINNER you would have known they weren't going to be all crazy uptempo hiphop #swag lol. Which is why they won in the first place, because they are doing something different. I wish that everyone could love this debut as much as I do. But if a slow tempo ballad wasn't what you expected or wanted to begin with, you probably won't be able to appreciate how beautiful these two songs are. Honestly though, I'll probably be giving these two videos enough views to make up for all those people. This is the kind of music I live for. Yeah, an uptempo party song with a catchy hook may last you a summer or a year but then you'll forget about it and move on to the next song that's exactly like it. But I search for songs like this when a group comes out with a new album, and it's songs like this (touching, beautiful, lovely singing, and emotional rapping) that I keep coming back to and constantly listen to for years and never get tired of them. So congratulations on your debut WINNER! This album was even better than I thought it was going to be.
I didn't watch them before...I tried but couldn't get into the shows their humor was just a bit off for me. Anyways I guess I was disappointed since the trailer seemed really cool and honestly better shot. That's the music video I wanted to watch lol. But don't worry about people like me they're YG so success is automatic.
Katherine Darnell I feel like that was a backhanded complement. I thought this video was very well shot and had great emotional acting (especially for a MV). Taehyun's crying in the bathtub seemed very real to me. I don't think WINNER will be successful just because they are a part of YG... they will be successful because they are talented artists who work very hard. Just because a group is a part of a big company does not mean automatic success. Yes, maybe it means they will have a better chance at it because they will receive more promotion. But if the group sucks they suck and a sucky group isn't going to be successful no matter what company they're in.

They probably won't take your breath away at first glance (except maybe TOP) but after awhile, you can't help but fall hopelessly infatuated with them. It's the YG magic..
I'm happier than I've felt in forever... Win: who is next show got me through school I went through some hard times... (Bobby's always being happy, etc) but even though I can't speak or really understand korean I love it and I believe winner will help me through the school this year. I'm crying because they've come so far. They are my favorites and the first group I've followed through from the start
I love how YG lets their artists debut with a song of their own and it gives a better feel than if it were to just be produced by the company and the artists don't get a say in anything. Love winner so far, this group already has so much talent and it isn't hard to see that :-)

I'm re watching all videos of my Winner babies and realized the reason why I came to love and adore this group. It's because their genre is different. You know how much YG's into hiphop and upbeat songs right?. And this group made a different one. I was expecting that they will debut with hiphop and upbeat song but they didn't. They came up with a very smooth melo-dramatic song which I totally fell in love with. In my own opinion (MY OWN) WINNER members are perfectly grouped. Each of them have a role in the group plus they are so kindhearted. This group is so classy. Now, I'm getting really excited for their comeback (I hope soon). I really missed them. WINNER fighting!

I think the people who say "I'm disappointed." wanted a real pop song which is kinda BigBang like but actually YG said already that WINNER wont be like that. Their really powerful songs will also follow. I mean it's just their start and I really like this slow songs which show their singing talent. The only thing I am sad about is that "Shut up" isn't on their album.
Some say they're disappointed because now is summer, and the trend in summer is dance, hiphop songs. Slow and sad songs will kill their debut. I don't think so. They must be different to be outstanding. In the past, Big Bang became famous because they were different. They sang hiphop songs while other singers focused on ballad and pop songs. Now Winner do the same thing. They're trying to be different and also show their unique colors. Actually if they followed hiphop and dance trend I would be disappointed because I don't wanna see them as a normal idol group or as a copy of Big Bang. Not to hate anyone, but it still surprises me how Winner debuted with this concept when bands lik BTS didn't adopt this style until a year after. It's sad that Winner couldn't have the success they deserved; this still remains one of the best kpop songs I've ever heard.
Their debut is a huge success, they swipe all the charts, all their song on their debut album are on top 10 in all Korean chart, not until YG put them in hiatus after debuting for almost two years without any news of comeback and lost half of their fandoms. They are still successful until now even they have small fandom

Most of their fans were new, which is good, but they disappeared just so fast for that same reason when their hiatus came. What I meant is that, if they had debuted a couple of years later, they probably will be just as successful as they were supposed to be. I know they're still popular in Korea, especially Mino, but they just deserved more.

For those who said they are dissapointed with WINNER genre or debut song, sorry if their colour cant match with your taste. For me this is one of the best thing that they can offered to us at the moment. Think it wisely this only a debut song. They still and will have a lot of thing to treasure in the future. Give them some chances. But i have no problem with their colour actually. I love them and i knew this kind of genre is really suit them. I know a lot of people have so much and high expectation on them because they came from YGE (which is famous and more to hip hop genre) and we have waiting for so long to see they debut but always remember that YG not a typical company which is they will debut a group if he see something different about them. You know you will be bored if you have been feed with a same damn thing over and over again. Im proud that this boys are different from a lot of kpop group out there. It just came to me. When Taehyun was still with Winner, they did ballad and indie songs (which I really love) but when he left they totally changed their style. Maybe Taehyun felt that their music wasn't in the same direction. Maybe he felt that right from the start his style was different from yg. That's why they were different unlike other Yg artists who leaned more on the hip-hop style. It pains me to see Winner as 4 and I'll never look at them the same again. But right now I love Winner and Nam Taehyun just as they are and I both love their styles of music. I fully support both of them. Winner and Nam Taehyun, fighting!

If you watch WIN YG sajangnim actually really like NamTae's style, he even got his own solo. I'd say it's the general who were complaining about Winner debut songs but me as a fan since Team A I really love it. Then YG sajangnim asked Seungyoon to stop using his guitar, he started writing more upbeat title songs and was well received. As Inseo I still love those too but mainly the whole album is better because from there I can find the old feel that I love.

a debut most of the time isn't meant to be a hugely popular track but rather setting the tone for the artist/group and gives an impression to the audience
in the case of winner, its to strike a difference from bigbang, and set themselves as a sleek,young,model-like group who writes music that expresses their own emotions and thoughts
the title tracks fit perfectly for their debut image, and this would eventually develop into big hits as they continue on their career

I went to a korean shop here in my country and dang it! The songs they are playing are all WINNER and BIGBANG songs! And it made me so happy because there are lots of korean groups out there but they chose WINNER and BIGBANG songs to be played as background music on their newly-opened store :D

I remember when people were all like "Oh YG, why did you debut them with ballads!? They're not gonna succeed like this!!" And then our dear Winner just SLAYED. Winning the best rookie award in practically every freaking award show program. While every other company debuted their boy groups with the hip hop or cutesy concept, Winner only had 2 title tracks put out, both ballads (excluding the occasional Don't Flirt performances in Inkigayo) yet they still blew everyone else out of the competition. SO proud, these kids are gonna go far. Their music has depth, they each have their special characteristics, and they're DIFFERENT. love it. woot, Winner fighting!

This song really killed me. I had summer classes and I went to the bathroom for 20 minutes so I could watch the mvs. It makes me so happy that they can prove to people that they were worth the hype and all the music chart kills. This made me cry only by hearing and watching, but I guess that's the power of Winner.

For me, WINNER already debuted a long, long, long time ago. They got to compose songs, had missions, and performed upbeat songs in 'WHO IS NEXT'. They had many inspiring songs too. They had powerful dance choreos. They opened a cocert. They had a reality show. For me they had debuted as Team A and just changed their name.

Yea! Its more like a comeback in my eyes. I really love that they went this route. People say that its not fitting for summer but to me it fits just right. Its kinda like a summer rain. WINNER are Kings to me because they are Artists write and compose all their music, fashion icons, models, reality tv stars, actors. YOON is respected for his vocals by old legendary singers, 6 straight wins on king of the mask singer the only idol to do that. MINO respected in the Korean hip hop community came 2nd on show me the money. Korean hip hop community don’t usually see idols as good rappers and have prejudice but MINO and only a few idols are respected. Am I the only one who likes Color Ring better than Empty? Color Ring's lyrics are so profound and sad, amazed at KSY and the other members' capabilities of bringing out such sadness in a song. Empty is amazing too, just that the lyrics, though very meaningful, are kind of restriced to 'I'm empty without you', while Color Ring is much more than that.

If you have watched literally anything about WINNER you would have known they weren't going to be all crazy uptempo hiphop #swag lol. Which is why they won in the first place, because they are doing something different. I wish that everyone could love this debut as much as I do. But if a slow tempo ballad wasn't what you expected or wanted to begin with, you probably won't be able to appreciate how beautiful these two songs are. Honestly though, I'll probably be giving these two videos enough views to make up for all those people.
This is the kind of music I live for. Yeah, an uptempo party song with a catchy hook may last you a summer or a year but then you'll forget about it and move on to the next song that's exactly like it. But I search for songs like this when a group comes out with a new album, and it's songs like this (touching, beautiful, lovely singing, and emotional rapping) that I keep coming back to and constantly listen to for years and never get tired of them. So congratulations on your debut WINNER! This album was even better than I thought it was going to be.

I didn't watch them before...I tried but couldn't get into the shows their humor was just a bit off for me. Anyways I guess I was disappointed since the trailer seemed really cool and honestly better shot. That's the music video I wanted to watch lol. But don't worry about people like me they're YG so success is automatic.
Katherine Darnell I feel like that was a backhanded complement. I thought this video was very well shot and had great emotional acting (especially for a MV). Taehyun's crying in the bathtub seemed very real to me. I don't think WINNER will be successful just because they are a part of YG... they will be successful because they are talented artists who work very hard. Just because a group is a part of a big company does not mean automatic success. Yes, maybe it means they will have a better chance at it because they will receive more promotion. But if the group sucks they suck and a sucky group isn't going to be successful no matter what company they're in.

I'm re watching all videos of my Winner babies and realized the reason why I came to love and adore this group. It's because their genre is different. You know how much YG's into hiphop and upbeat songs right?. And this group made a different one. I was expecting that they will debut with hiphop and upbeat song but they didn't. They came up with a very smooth melo-dramatic song which I totally fell in love with. In my own opinion (MY OWN) WINNER members are perfectly grouped. Each of them have a role in the group plus they are so kindhearted. This group is so classy. Now, I'm getting really excited for their comeback (I hope soon). I really missed them. WINNER fighting!

I think the people who say "I'm disappointed." wanted a real pop song which is kinda BigBang like but actually YG said already that WINNER wont be like that. Their really powerful songs will also follow. I mean it's just their start and I really like this slow songs which show their singing talent.
The only thing I am sad about is that "Shut up" isn't on their album.
Some say they're disappointed because now is summer, and the trend in summer is dance, hiphop songs. Slow and sad songs will kill their debut. I don't think so. They must be different to be outstanding. In the past, Big Bang became famous because they were different. They sang hiphop songs while other singers focused on ballad and pop songs. Now Winner do the same thing. They're trying to be different and also show their unique colors. Actually if they followed hiphop and dance trend I would be disappointed because I don't wanna see them as a normal idol group or as a copy of Big Bang. They're always different, from the first time i saw them in WIN till now. Good job my boys

thats only a few- look at GOT7- A, BTS hardcore hip hop, Infinite- Last Romeo, B1A4- Solo Day, and more :) those are very upbeat and summery. there will always be slow ballad-y songs, but to make a group with that as their main skill is more uncommon.
