HOW TO DRAW ALL TYPES OF CURLY HAIR: • How to Draw ALL TYPES ...
This is honestly the most ridiculous video I've done in a while and I hope to god that even a second of this video was helpful. A lot of you wanted more drawing vids (fair) so about half the video is me sketching! Hopefully this will appease everyone ;D

It doesn’t get too messy if I moisturize it well. I very much prefer my overnight hair than my daytime hair - more volume more definition. You can try it over a weekend. If it doesn’t work for you you’ll wash your hair again :).
I know people also sleep with cotton cloths on their heads but I’ve never tried. Although I’m tempted.

i have short hair with tight curls, first i spray my hair with water, then use Cantu moisturizer, then go in with Muzani true textures to enhance curls and coils, and lastly, i spray Kèrastase paris hydrating mosturizing oil mist to set the style/curls in place. And a bonus, parts of my head are shaved, so to keep those parts moisturized, i use eufora nourish to hydrate the skin, and i of course comb, pick, and brush through my hair throughout the process. this all only takes 15 minutes.

Your so funny, I enjoyed the hair routine 😸. I love drawing curly hair, it’s what I’m most comfortable drawing. And I have very thick 4c hair. I mostly do twist outs and use anything that says moisturizing

I was legit going to comment on your previous video if you could possibly do a hair routine! Though I didn’t because your obviously an art channel but here we are with this video! Hurray!!!

Alright. I have shoulder lenght, 1.5" diameter curls aprox., porous, rather thick and dense from what I've seen (yeah, my icon dosn't match this discription, it was accurate when my friend drew it). My routine starting from wash day is: wash hair with "live clear argon oil shampoo" then immediatly rinse - condition hair with "live clear moisturizing conditioner", while applying rake fingers through hair to detangle and remove shead, the moisturizer should provide enough lubrication to prevent tugging, rinse just before leaving shower - drying: squeeze water out, scrunch out water with cotton t-shirt, continue until damp but not dripping - generously apply "garnier whole blends olive oil" leave in conditioner - then plop hair in the same shirt from the drying stage to get it out of my face (a channel called curlypenny has a good demo of this) - let it air dry, remove t-shirt. Now at this point I don't touch it at all, I take a shower about every three days. If my hair gets particulary frizzy though Ill dampen my hair and apply more leave in conditioner.

Co-washing has been working for me lately, making my hair more moisturized without feeling like its leaving residue. I use shampoo when I feel like my hair needs it, otherwise, I use very cheap conditioner, put a lot, like maybe as much as a golf ball sized amount, through the hair near my scalp, let it sit a few minutes, then wash out. It seems like its somewhere between dry shampoo and actually shampooing. If it think its going to be dry I'll also use Aussie Moist conditioner. Also, sometimes when using shampoo, if my hair isn't especially in need of cleaning, I'll use conditioner then shampoo, which seems like it helps it not dry out, like you're using the condition as a buffer.
I usually put it in a bun before I get out of the shower. My hair tends to hold whatever shape it dries in, so by putting it up, the first third of my hair is fairly straight while the ends are curly.

Hopefully you read this but I don’t know if this is the exact reason why your hair maybe flat but just with the knowledge I know about different chemicals put into curly hair products I know for a fact that the curly scrunch controlling gel that you use has a silicone called dimethicone. What I’m trying to say is that in all silicone’s (including dimethicone) prevent your curls from absorbing any water and in all dry the hair out which with that being said also prevents from your hair being moisturized properly, another thing that it does is weigh down your hair and that prevents your natural curl shape to form. To fully get ride of the silicones you’d need to remove it with sulfates but the down side is that sulfates are also harmful for your hair and can cause it to dry out. Though I’m not saying this so you can change your hair product but I’d just like to say that so if you hadn’t previously know now you do, if the products you use now are bringing you fine results it’s alright to keep it that way! Sorry if this is long hopefully you do read this but yea that’s all!

I forgot to add I just very recently have been trying to learn what’s good for my hair and what’s not and I made the mistake of not knowing but it’s fine. I happen to use the same control gel until now though since I’m trying to cut out any harmful chemicals.

I don't use any hair products besides shampoo+conditioner and my curly hair lay flat the same way, even when they're short. It's just a weird type of curl when they're not as tight as black people's curls but not loose enough to look like a dolly wig, and it kinda just bends at the roots and continues as a uniform spiral. Maybe it can be fixed with a special haircut/hairstyle, idk, I just accepted this

O______O ....holy shit I did nOT know any of this!! I wonder if that's part of why my hair tends to lie flat 🤔 Or maybe it's my routine or something, it's always so hard to tell. I'll look into some silicone-free hair products and try them out! Thank you!!

You should definitely look into the „curly girl method“ it’s a set of rules that you can follow which can elevate your curl game to another level
And yes it includes getting rid of silicones
I can see that you have so much potential to get even more beautiful and voluminous curls in that way! It has transformed my hair honestly (2C/3A)

I like using L’Oréal elvive ‘extraordinary oil, oil-in-cream’ I feel it helps keep my hair healthier because when it dries it goes so frizzy (sadly not into ringlets at the moment but I’m trying to tame it more haha) and body shop has hair/ body oils that I think do similar to the one you showed at the beginning of your video as I’ve used those and just pure coconut oil (in hard form) which you melt in the palm and apply but I put that on and shower a half-hour/ hour later as it’s sooo greasy but once washed helps do a deep treatment

One of my bigggesttttt probs with drawing is I draw wayyyy to quick so if it’s not an assignment I spend like 10 mins on something and that’s it 😡😡😡

Moroccan oil is pretty sweet for my hair, it makes it pretty and really defines the curl. There are shampoos, but I prefer the actual oil (I'm pretty sure the oil is cheaper too).

I wash my hair before bed, dont brush when wet and let it dry flat while im sleeping, this way it gets volume. if drying during the day I also get flat top bc the wet hair is heavy and pulls down.

Does your hair get messy/tangled/frizzy in the morning or do you do some kind of treatment to it after you wake up? Cause I've always feared that my flat-ness comes from all the water weighing my hair down.
