brilliant, a song that has no boundaries. the song demands to be heard with headphones to capture all the textures, the instruments, the echo and reverb. this nugget is priceless.
I listen to a lot of 60s pyschedelic music and this is probably the most spaced-out track out of the whole decade. I wish there was more info on Orange Swirl Society!
Woah, how this masterpiece is not more famous ? I love the velvet underground influence. Is Billy Synth the singer ? There's not a lot of informations about Orange Swirl Society.. I heard this song in a french radio
Simply amazing... brilliant nugget of psych, Wish there was some..ANY info on these guys. I have the compilation album, but man... would LOVE to hear more of their stuff.
Richard Allen I looked into it. Seems to be on a compilation called Spiritual Psychedelic Music For The Devoted Listener from 1998. There’s a few copies for sale up on discogs and it really looks interesting. Thanks for putting me on the journey.
I have my doubts that this was actually recorded in 1968, the use of the synth just seems just a bit too advanced for that particular time period compared to what people were doing then (listen to Roger McGuinn's use of the synth in 67 -he was one of the first to have one, it's a far cry from this).
@@katliz5228 idk it’s on this 1998 compilation and someone told me not every song was old. Idk if you have any other info on the band, let me know www.discogs.com/Various-Songs-Of-Faith-And-Inspiration-Spiritual-Psychedelic-Rock-For-The-Devoted-Listener/release/3800544
So Beautiful and befitting of those times.Good to bring these obscurities to the Fore.Rog.Pacific Sunset Records( LA).

This is a song that floods the brain. You can almost feel it coursing through your veins.

It’s really from the 90’s
@@dirtlevel I found it might have been released in the 90s, but I found no source to say it was recorded in any year other than 1968.

I was thinking the same thing, the earliest melodic use I can think of is ELP's Lucky Man...this sounds later.
Listen to the United States of America and the White Noise album ....then comment.

Kind of reminds me of Hawkwind.
Reminds me of NO 1.
INSANE.....................................

The refrain sounds like Velvet Underground 'Venus in furs'
Oh, Sie hier? Und nicht in Paris? 🧐
What is this? What have I found?
*Immediate Edit:* Yo, I wasn't expecting a good song.
@Orange_Swirl Barry, 63
fuck yeah this song eats cold turkey
I'm not convinced this is 60s...sounds more early 80s trying to sound 60s...
