I just got my bison leather boots last last week. I gotta say the break in was instant! It is so so so worth it. As a roofer I need flexibility and these boots are perfect. Looking forward to how they ate with time. I waxed the rough out for water resistance and they look even better! I miss the fuzz but I do like the dark waxed flesh against the grain upper. Good job guys!
@Jon Dombrowski not anymore, when I bought my boots they were custom and cost $425, when you order the same exact boots today, the total comes out to $750, I will never buy these boots again.
@@mad0ucheyea but nowadays they want 300-400 bucks for a run of the mill danner or thorogood. They keep fucking the country up like this we’ll be paying $1000 for these boots. Diesel fuel costs a fortune
@@Lexidezi225 Nicks and whites don't charge as much, prices went up all across the board but JK charging 30 dollars for black hardware, $40 for celastic / safety toe, that's $70 for two features, atleast a thorogood there is a small price gap between a safety toe and regular..
Bison Forefronts delivered, love them. Bison is wonderful, no break in, even as thick as this leather is. Looking forward to OT Bisons coming soon! Can't go wrong with Bison.
My rough-out bison climbers should be here in the next two weeks or so. Stoked to get them. I've been wearing Redwing LoggerMaxx boots for 12+ years in the cell tower industry, and they've been great. These should really impress.
This collection is amazing. I need a pair of these in my life. I really wish I lived on the area. I hate waiting for things. Also, I absolutely want it to fit. I have a kinda wide, but slim foot i have yet to find any standard pair of anything besides shoes, because they make them all in knit uppers now, which is fantastic for wider feet in narrow shoes lole nikes, and the only that truly fits my foot is a sneaker. Id like them custom fitted, but without being there, I can't ever see someone getting that right. Mainly because the person id be talking to, is not the person making my boots. On top of that, there would only be some cliff notes for the person to glance at when making them. I just feel overwhelmed in the idea of it for the price I can get a pair, but I would severely disappointed to waste my money if they weren't spot on.
I have a narrow low volume foot with wide toes. No off the shelf boot has ever fit me, I’ve tried theogood Danner red wing all that. I finally talked myself into $600 boots and they measured my foot and made them custom fit and they actually fit! Tight in the heel tight in them arch tight in the ball and wide in the toebox. They’re perfect! I say take the chance and go for it man. You’ll be happy.
I know that franks boots take the measurement and custom fit more seriously than JK. You could try calling him. I got my super duty bisons and had to send them back cuz they didn’t fit. 3 months later I got the second pair and their so comfortable I’m just still trying them out in the house to make sure their not too wide.
Just ordered a pair of Bison O/T Honey boots can't wait! I signed up for the email list so I should be getting some boot oil as well! 🤙 They look gorgeous and tough as nails.
@@mad0uche sure did. Have you been on their website? 300 is not a customizable boot on there. So I am wondering if they are going to release the 300's in Buffalo.
@@mad0uche yeah, on customizable boots. The 300 is not customizable. I know he states every model but the 300 is not an option to choose in the customizable boot models. Obviously you want to be right so we shall see if they are eventually added to the list.
I've sent you an email once a week ago trying to get in touch with someone there. Do you use stainless screws and nails or can i order a pair with stainless fasteners? I deal with fertilizer and it makes steel rust. The screws and heel nails will be gone in a year.
They do not at this time. I inquired the same as I do fertilizer also. They said it was worth them looking into though. I hope they do it though that would definitely be next level for us.
@@claytonblachly4031 yeah they emailed me back after 9 days and said to look at their other boot lines. I'm not interested in other boots. Not sure why they don't already use them. The Nick's i just got use stainless screws around the toe. I'm going to take out the screws and goop them in rtv silicone and fill the nail holes in the heel. Hopefully that will keep it out. I'm ordering another pair after Christmas so I have 2 good boots. I want to go through the fitment process this time but i don't want to wait 8 months for Nick's. I got mine through their ready to ship section. So I'm looking at Frank's and JK. But if they can't make them with SS i guess I'm waiting 8 months lol. I really like these boots. I'm waiting on a reply from Frank's now I'll update you. I'm pretty sure JK, franks, and nicks are pretty much the same boots. i don't think you can go wrong with either but it looks like with Nick's using SS screws they are taking that extra step to have a little more durable boot you know?

@@jkbootsusa is the bison leather full grain? In rose anvil jk sponsored video it was said the leather is tumbled so with that being said is it considered a top grain leather since most tumbled leather is top grain?
When you are buying custom boots. You need to go to a cobbler slide them $50 to do your sizing with a tape measure. Even if you do off the rack with a custom boot company. Get the sizing sheet and make copies just in case you buy others. When you invest this kind of money into something custom made, its just like a tailor. You can buy a 2k Suit off the rack and it looks like crap. You buy a $100 suit made to your measurements and you look like a million bucks. Its in the skill of the cobbler and boot makers craft. This is exact to your measurements.
