      @@neustrasen1980 Are you going to be doing one of the LeMans races coming up ( 6h / 24h ) ? .... If you are then wish you all the best. I really need to get back into sim racing, my set up has sat there for months unused :(

    Graham Hill, the guy to name nightclubs before houses when talking about road races.

    No sportsperson since (not even Bumble or Lineker) has come close to Graham's amazing mix of articulacy, wit, great achievement and astounding courage. In 1975 we lost THE man.

    what I always liked about Hill was the way that he looked. He looked every bit the debonair of Bond, the moustache, the hair, he was very, very good looking. Nothing homosexual or anything.

    I enjoyed the old circuit much more than the current one which is far too 'twisty', especially around the swimming pool and the chicane before the start/finish.

    Not sure when the interview was (1968 according to the title), but the video at the end - Graham winning - is from 1962. Around 1:47 that's a Team Lotus car going into the tunnel (Trevor Taylor I think, not Jimmy) but it's Graham in the BRM coming out.

    • @tompw3141
      @tompw3141 3 года назад +2

      I would guess the modern producor spliced the interview with other footage from that era.

    I am surprised this is 1968, he would have been just around 40 and driving for Lotus. I would have guess more like 1966, but then I could well be wrong.
