This worked really well for me. What works well for you? 👊
Hey man, what is best riding raw denim to use that has room to swing leg over bike? 555 iron hearts too tight for that, but I like the slim look. Thoughts?
@@stevenfoster4977 slim pants are going to be tight , but if you want room to for for maneuverability 634 / 888 .. . If you really skinny 666 ought to work for you and have room to move
Different strokes for different folks. I dig the channel and learning about how others wear and treat their jeans. I only buy in Japan and wear daily. I don’t do anything special, just wear my denim and don’t worry about babying it. Takes me a little longer to get sweet fades, maybe 10-12 months but I get a lot of satisfaction from my natural fades as well as the time and memories it took to get there. Aside from buying based on need, I always get a new pair of jeans to mark significant moments in my life. Got a pair when I got married, pairs for the births of my boys, a pair for a significant job, a pair when I earned my masters degree, etc. I find it rewarding to mark achievements with a physical object and then fades become a new memory associated with the achievement and I reflect on it each time I pull them on.
This methodology is lit, my man.
👍🏻 👍🏻 👍🏻
Dude, I love that idea for getting a new pair! Gonna copy it. Cheers
That finish wash advice is amazing
You’re the man Fjorde! Dropping that knowledge as always! Thank you!
Thanks for the tips. I’m planning to break in my jeans the first month by doing a lot of urban cycling. I’ve always been scared to do a wash with bleach, but I’ll consider it for my final wash. Best of luck in Y4!
i love your vibe brother. thank you🙏🏼
Fjorde lives this. It seeps through in his videos. He would still do it even if there’s only 1 person watching
Love the advice, I’m working my 777s for 12 months; they still look brand new lol , I’ve got some Stevenson overall half the age and look amazing, they are all different and that’s what we love about denim it’s all unpredictable, always looks forward to your RUclips videos
Me too bro. My 21oz 777s Have not been washed once yet (surprisingly don't stink) and I bought them October last year. My whiskers up top are starting to develop finally and my thighs in the right light show a bit lighter indigo wear. But man do they make you earn it...I guess it's that heavyweight life.
Is this daily wear? Because in 30 days of every day wear mine look dope af
Guys get a rough type jacket or over shirt, like a carhartt and do some work in a squat/ on your knees and you’ll see fades very fast.
Thank you so much for sharing your awesome knowledge and skills ❤🙏
Thanks so much. 👊👊👊
Washing my jeans regularly after I wear them gives me my ideal fade patterns.
Congrats on your placement in the competition 👏 they looked great at the end
The video that we all needed. Thank you sir
You are most welcome. Thank you. 👊👊👊
why do you wash instead of soak for the first soak? just curious. love the content.
Thank you so much for all these videos
Looked great!
Hi Man , how much shrikidge on the first soak? Waistband, and Leg.?? Thanks in advance. Have a Nice day Dude 😀
Wouldnt it fade all the jean the same way- not these highlighted faded areas as in the pic??
Excellent video! Certainly never tried the bleach thing. Definitely gotta try that shit! Thanks man!🤘🤘
Thank you so much. 👊👊👊
Did you wear them EVERY day?
So final wash is:
1. Regular cold wash-gentle, no spin (EVER)
2. 1 hour soak- 100 liter cold water 1/2 cup of bleach.
3. Regular cold wash-gentle, no spin (EVER)
Also what soap do you use?
Thanks brother! Got my first pair IH 777 XHS at 30 days of every day wear ! 🤘👌🤙
Funny question but....can i do that (fading) with 100$ jeans or those samurai jeans are made of special kind of denim so they can be treated/faded that way?
Sadly, it's not possible. It's hard to get a good contrast if you dont have jeans that have a lot of indigo to start with. 👊👊👊
There are plenty of $100 jeans that are great faders, bravestar denim, benzak denim and mischief are high quality selvedge indigo denim for around $100.
What is the reason for avoiding the spin cycle when washing?
It can cause unnatural fade marks that are like straight line. Personally, turning them inside out I’ve never noticed it and it only looks bad if you are going for high contrast and get an aggressive fade mark where it shouldn’t be
I believe from experience that it's about right to wash selvedge denim every 3/4 months exactly as you say. I don't do the shrink to fit bit though. I use bleach to really diluted as you mention and the honeycombs are amazing.
You got a really deep ass fade!
Is video is great! Im looking to join next year's Indigo Invitational. I just got the jeans. I hope i did the sizing right as they are shrink to fit
Does this work on all kinda of jeans, or does it have to be a special brand?
This has to be natural indigo dyed denim. Usually it's called raw selvedge denim. Most mainstream jeans won't fade like that as they are dyed differently with cheap chemical dye.
I used to run 5 miles a day in a pair. And still didn’t fade them anywhere near as fast as Fjorde lol. I guess the secret is to wear them while biking
You were awesome in Iron Man 3 🙌
Dude, where did you get that jacket? That thing is so clean!
Found it, if anyone else is also looking. It’s by Master Supply Co. and it’s called the Scoundrel. It’s $444
Love that jacket !! Who makes that ??!!
This one is called "Scoundrel" By Master Supply Co. 👊
@@Fjorde thank you. Love your style brother. Videos are awesome!! Keep them coming !!! Always looking forward to the next one.
Finish wash: I want to try that and sounds great. But...100 litres of water? Did you mean to say 10?
100L is correct. 80-100L will work. but the idea is to have the bleach at a really low concentration. 👊👊👊
I use washing machine too. Jeans were made to be tough
The only reason I clicked on this video is because, for some reason you look trustworthy for denim advice
A pumice stonewash and bleach would basically do the same job. Like your creativity, though. 😀
Болтун, на фиг мне твоя рожа нужна? Ты себя показываеш или деним?
You need to be a man of discipline to get the best fades, John wick would have killer fades 😂😂😂
Bla bla bla bla bla bla 🫤
"competition fades"? you have to be fucking kidding me
This guy looks constipated when he talks
Do I see an MT Maloney ring?
These rings are by clocks and colours. 👊👊
