- The latest release of the EXPEDITION Barrel Harness from Recreational Barrel Works. Rugged, comfortable, adjustable and lots of grab handles. The latest improvements include:
Additional connection points so it can now carry a 60L, 30L and a 20L barrel, and more.
Longer back pad for a full size fit on a 60L barrel, with a new fold-down so it rocks a 30L barrel also.
New moveable buckle and attachment points for the shoulder strap adjusters - great for taller people.
Bigger hipbelt with new Easy-Snug buckles for one-handed operation.
New Tump-line attachment points to make it easier for those who love the optional tump.

This guy is a doppelgänger of Red Skelton, he even has a sense of humor.
I’m a sucker for thoughtful design in outdoor gear, your barrel gear looks like it works great.
I ordered the 60l barrel harness I can't wait to get it
Awesome design Andy. nice that it fits all barrels , love the end of the video and you taking the kitchen sink lmao to funny
Great explanation Andy! Time to get out on the water and make some videos for us desk paddlers
Alright! Well this looks just about perfect. We are hoping to do a longer trip in a couple of weeks and were talking about possibly getting another barrel harness. This video might have just made that decision even easier. Looks awesome! Love that top strap and all the smaller details.
It would be perfect for you guys.
GREAT GREAT IMPROVEMENTS GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love the kitchen sink!! Looks like it portage very well!
WOW! Great new improvements for RBW! SWEET!
Just got back from a punishing trip. Got the expedition pack back in May and was very happy with its performance. I had 36lbs in it. Great packs and barrels. Would recommend.
A very thoughtful and functional design. 👏
Great products and the kitchen sink was a great addition
you guys are great
Interested in finding a video on the 20l.barrel.is that the size of an olive jar barrel? I have an olive jar and would love a pack strap for it or even a packsac. Ahh,the 20 liter!
Wait a minute. Andy's showing off new gear. A canoe trip may be nigh.
ANDY, the side pouches are a great idea!!!! They are hard to find and should sell like hot cakes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just need to have it in stock now, unfortunately had to buy a level six Badhass for my late June trip. But when it conks out hopefully they have it available for purchase.
Great idea but when will they be back in stock?
Andy said n two weeks. I know Canadian Outdoor Equipment will have them.
Niiiice!
What canoe gear is ANDY most proud of?
Awesome, love it Andy! So . . . .When will they be in stock again??
Should be a couple of weeks
👋😎👍
👀"naked portages " 🤣🤣
would a receiver notch be good to catch the top strap on the barrel latch?
Awesome! Are the updated harness in vendor stores in Ontario already?
In two weeks
Does Andy ship to the UK?
I'm not sure. Send him a note on his web site. recreationalbarrelworks.com/
From your experience is a 30L barrel large enough for a 10 day trip for 2 people only taking dehydrated food in the barrel?
I would say no. You would need a 60 L for two people. I've used a 30 L for a solo trip but not for 2 people.
Thanks so much for getting back to me Kevin. Any chance of these products being shown and for sale at this years Outdoor Show in the GTA at the end of this month? It would be nice to see it, try it on and save on shipping if possible .
@@cliffspicer6555 I do know Andy - Recreational Barrel Works - will be at the Toronto show with all his products he has to date (including barrel stuf)f. He's also on line at recreationalbarrelworks.com/ . Hope to see ya at the show.
Question for Andy: My mom always insists we put the food packs up a tree (a classic camping debate). are the carry straps rated to hold the weight of a loaded 60L clipped with a climbing carabiner on rope up a tree?
Yes - the harness is strong enough for hoisting into a tree. It is recommended to use multiple connection points on harness and barrel to spread the load and maximize the chances of success if a bear is giving it a workout. - Andy
@@TheHappyCamper awesome, thanks andy!
Who has a spare kitchen sink somewhere around to make the joke work?
Only Andy would have that in his van, and then pull it out when I made a joke about having everything but the kitchen sink. It was hilarious.
