Who doesn't love the Honda CB1000R black Edition? Looks sick, sounds Meh!
I decided to install a Leo Vinci end can exhaust. Transformed the bike...
Purchased from Leo Vinci direct in the UK.
Damn, never really considered this a choice as my next bike, now this video has changed that!

Great looking can that really suits the Honda. And for the price, and the quality compared to say a Akrapovic at £700 - £800. £235 is a absolute bargain.

Spicy statement , but It has something. It looks classy and miles better than Its biggest rival the Suzuki GSX-S1000 that's for sure. It is a shame that Honda did not put a more "special" engine in it like a V-twin//V4, triple or Cossplane or some kind of V-Tec. As it stands it is the slowest of the 1000c nakeds even though it is NOT a SLOW bike by any means =)
I think it is a bit pricey for what it is brand new, I would rather buy a used, cheaper Kawy Z1000 around year 2014 - 2019 as I think that bike looks even more brutal and has a tiny bit more fun straight four 1000cc engine.
This engine is actually quite special. Legendary CBR engine

@@Senfflosse It is as special as the GSXR-1000R K5 Engine being used in the Suzuki GSX-S1000 for years now. They were special around the time that they came for being more fun on the street with an earlier powerband and more torque.
But today compared to Tuono V4 , Superduke V-twin, Yamaha 999cc Crossplane, Speed triple 1200 RS, zH2 supercharged.
How special is the legendary CBR or K5 suzuki engine actually today ?
Not very special at all in my opinion and to be honest I would rather own any of the other engines I mentioned above :P
The only thing that interest me about the CB1000R or GSX-S1000 is if I can get them "very" cheap, used and I am talking below 9000$/€ It would be a great in between bike until I have saved up to any of the other bikes I rather want and have enough fun until then :)

I think the CB1000 looks better but when I rode the GSX S1000 last time It sure felt more powerful than the Honda, that engine sure feels great, at the top especially. As I wrote , I am looking forward to your video man!
Also when you put a full system or slipon and decat or whatever, the howling scream that suzuki makes at the top is pure inline4 madness :D
Greetings from France. Your taste in music suggests that your appreciation of the sound of a well-tuned bike is similarly developed. This slip-on looks great and the comparative recordings of the OE and the replacement were very helpful. But what about on full howl? Say 9000rpm? I'd wish it to alert other motorists to my presence, but not alarm wildlife 5km away.

Thanks for your comment. The CB1000r has gone now and a Suzuki GSX S1000 has replaced it, so far I think it’s a different machine. New video coming soon.

It sure looks better with those small black Leo Vince slip-ons so you see more of the single sided swing arm, also bar-end mirrors that goes under the handlebar is a must!

I agree…I traded it in this Feb for a Harley Sportster S. I hate it! Going back to the Honda dealer on Monday to discuss 🤦♂️
From a lot of other videos I have seen, not even a full system makes this bike obnoxiously loud. With that euro regulated catalytic converter a slip-on swap does not make that much of a difference in sheer volume. It did however add a little more bass to the sound which I thought was nice. But a 50% even higher volume to the sound of this bike would be even better =)
I agree, it simply adds more bass tones which was nice. I’ve since sold the bike but if I was to keep it I would have de catted it. I’ve recently bought a new Suzuki GSX S1000 and yet again, the exhaust is crap. Think I’m gonna fit a full system on it and get a remap. I’ll do an install video soon.

I understand it’s better for the environment but would it really make that much difference when we have thousands of jet planes travelling the globe each day.
I’ll review my GSX S1000 soon my brother. It’s probably one of the best 1000 bikes I’ve owned so far.
@@mid.bike.crisis hehe it is more to do with that people complain a lot that bikes makes too much noise that they try to supress the noise more and more on them =( Yeah man I am looking forward 2 ur video. Yeah it is certainly a fun and fast bike.
@@mathias6423 to be fair, the stock exhaust sound OK, it’s got a nice beefy sound from the air box that helps but still the exhaust has to go……I’ll do a review ride on the bike this week and then one when I do the new install. Probably go with the Black Widow full system, I had one on my CB650R and honestly sounded epic and half the price of Akro.
