You must select layer 0 and color by layer to select multiple blocks and change the layer (Equipment) at once and the color of the changed layer will be applied. If you select a different layer, you must select and change each block with the block editor.

please why did you put the blocks on layer 0 in the bloc editor , why not keep it in equipement layer ? thanks in advance for your responce !
