@PepesTowingService Excessive speed lateral force increases 4x with speed... with his load also not being secured inside the truck they all probably shifted like lego's in a big box during his entire drive. Honestly how this guy has a license is beyond me.
Driver is 120% at fault, would not pass CDL in europe by a longshot and after that accident wouldnt get to keep it either.
He should find another job with less responsibility.... I'd suggest something like cleaning offices but i wouldnt trust him with a wet mop 😂

I had called Pepe’s about a job I thought you guys could do for us in OC, and somehow your dad was the one who answered the phone! The call turned into 30 minutes talking about life actually…two old school guys just jabbering.
To speak to a man who runs a super successful company… who answers still answers the phone …that’s humble, friendly, and who talked about how much he loves his family (especially how proud he is of you, Josh), it’s just so refreshing in the business world we operate in today.
You are a lucky man to have a father like that…cherish this time, and let him be as old school as he wants….precious father-interaction…nothing better 🤙😥😁

I know what the problem is. He got a cracker jack box driver's license they're like. Oh, you drive overseas, okay. You can come and drive in the United States. Guarantee you that's what happened see it all the time. And notice how over the years, more and more people come from other countries and drive here. And now they have more and more laws. If that didn't happen, we could still be doing some old school driving nowadays. But since everything's all jacked up. Because people don't know how to drive our roads in America. Because they're used to driving where there's No laws at all and nobody to control safety. They think they can drive. They can speed and they can do whatever they want on the road. Because they're in a bigger vehicle than everybody. Else. I see it all the time when I'm driving my rig. 90% of everybody that has caused a problem. Or that cut somebody off or that causes a crash they either have a green card or some sort of special work permit. But they are not true Americans. And in my opinion, anybody who comes from a country that is the enemy of the united states and the people that have tried to kill me when I did my tours in combat should not be allowed to be driving or be in america at all.

No logistics rails in the trailer - squeeze bars wouldn't stop those totes from moving once they start....the totes SHOULD have been loaded left-right-left-right so they interlocked. It also helps if the driver doesn't take the corner like he's driving a NASCAR Cup Series race car....

I wonder if the load was sealed when he hooked the trailer, or if the driver applied the seal after loading? If the driver sealed it, he should've known that straps should've been used and how to load the totes. How do I know, you ask? I've hauled cooking oil in totes that size (used in commercial bakeries) that weighed out at about 44,000 lbs. The totes were loaded in interlocking fashion and strapped in by me - so I never had a problem hauling them - in some cases from Western Canada to Oakland....

I used to deliver flavorings to the Nutter Butter factory in totes. Always remember the smell, just like the cookie.. I grew up between a bakery and a brewery so I was always smelling something good.
The leaking tote reminded me of when I picked up a tote of transmission fluid once, I left the customer and soon I was wondering why my tractor mirror was getting transmission oil on it until I saw my drive tires soaked in it and the trailer dripping profusely. The totes lid on top was not screwed on tight enough and my day was shot cleaning up the mess.

      @@edstevens1435 You're quite right - they slide easy....😱😱
If the shipper loaded and sealed the trailer without the driver there, the shipper is the idiot who didn't load the totes properly or secure them. Josh doesn't say if he knows whether it was the shipper or driver who sealed the load. That may be why the driver didn't seem too concerned, he can't be faulted for the shipper's improper loading and load securement.....and as you know, a driver can't break a seal unless a LEO tells him to or he's at the receiver so the driver can't check the load before leaving.

when hauling these totes full of any type of liquid you have to drive it as if you're driving a tanker! It's obvious he went too fast around the bend which caused it to flip due to the liquid surge. Hopefully he had a tanker endorsement because those look like 275 gallon totes way over 119 gallons, also over 1000lbs total weight. I'm not perfect, but that driver should know better! Fructose 90 is a type of high-fructose corn syrup (HFCS) that contains 90% fructose and 10% glucose. It's the most concentrated form of HFCS, but it's rarely used because of its extreme sweetness.
HFCS is made from corn starch, which is processed to convert some of the glucose into fructose using enzymes. The amount of fructose in HFCS varies, with other types including: HFCS is used in many ways, including: Sweetening, Browning in baking, As an anti-crystallizer in icings, and As a humectant in waffles and caramel fillings. The new drone is great! Funny you mentioned about your dad! He is a real go getter! I caught the part where he told you to put the chain in one place and you said no it should go here. He said put it here and you said well ok. He said no put it where you said . He said no you are going to damage the thing. You said no I'm stubborn!

Sweet lift. It really was a sticky situation. Just remember the old saying: In America, first you get the sugar, then you get the power, then you get the women 🤣
Fruticose L90 is a processed sweetener that comes from the Chicory Plant. Basically the L90 stands for it being 90% fiber that comes from Inulin, a long chain polysaccharide that is found in more starchy fruits and vegetables. They basically extract and concentrate the juice from Chicory plant roots. Because its more complex form of sugar its less impacting on your blood sugar than high fructose corn syrup, and as it is mostly plant fiber is good for digestion.

The Old slosh factor! My oldest son learned that lesson when he almost rolled a fuel truck in an airport! He turned into the roll and got the wheels back down and was much to the wise!
