I think that Kim in the series is not that impressive like Kim in the book, in the series is really serious and logic, but in the book Chay mentioned that behind his attitude, Kim is really smart, logic, and he can know your weaknesses and strengths only seeing you, and it's why Chay feel for moments that he don't deserve Kim, and he is not at the height of being with him
In my opinion Kim is the most dangerous character in the entire series; In the book Korn even mentions that Kim is the best candidate to inherit the business and is the most capable of not only keeping it afloat but making it grow. He obviously knows much more than he appears and even his father acts cautious when it comes to him. He is a mysterious character but we know that he is intelligent, manipulative and territorial, he is also calculating and agile, very quick and wise when acting, also his Hand-to-hand combat skills are wonderful, he does not beat around the bush and is more than capable of killing in cold blood. He knows everything about his brothers, father and cousins; he knows perfectly the weaknesses of each of his opponents like this as of each member of the two families. I need a second season that allows us to get to know him better, we know that up to now his only weak point is Porchay and that is why he protects him, so much so that I'm more passionate about them and I even find them more interesting than VegasxPete...... I urgently need more KimPorchay but above all I need more of Kim and to know what the hell is going on inside him head.
Kim definitely knows what's up. The thing is, he also has that almost like "couldn't be bothered" attitude, where if it doesn't involve him or benefit him, he won't bother with it, but HE KNOWS. He's in the loop without actually being IN THE LOOP. He does what he wants and doesn't trust that easily. But if he was even just a little bit more ambitious, he's more than capable to topple everyone. AND THAT'S WHAT WE ALL LOVE ABOUT HIM Also, casting Jeff is the icing on the cake, beacause that's just perfect.
What I found most interesting is that Kim seems the most suited to the mafia life than his brothers, and he thinks like his father, but (publicly) lives the life Kinn wishes he could have had.
Jeff needs his own action or superhero series, he absolutely slays. He's an underrated actor, he has so much presence on the screen though , sober acting, and charisma to kill. He's at his best when expressing inner rage.
season 2 has to give us more Kim because I have so many questions. I'm so sure that he knew something about the plan his dad had to fake his death. He was the last to meet with him before what happened with Porsche, and the way him and Chan looked at eachother. I'm so curious.
I can't wait for season 2! I feel like so much is going to be revealed and Kim is going to be the one to reveal it. He moved out on his own, went through his father's study,and has a chart of people in his room. I also just think he is so cool. His fighting is incredible and his personality is so chill and mysterious. I am also excited to see where his relationship with Porchay goes. Porchay will be far more involved in the Major family as well now that his mother is here. I also hope that they touch on Tay, Time, and Tem because they seemed to have an interesting relationship in season 1. Sorry for my babbling, I am just very excited for this next season. Also, you are a fellow army, I purple you!
Season 1 never gave the character of Kim the complete justice, screentime, and script he deserves. I hope they can rectify that in season 2 and give Kim more central part in the story and not just for the side romance plot with Chay. Kim has so much potential!
I think part of the problem.......and why they had so little screen time in season 1 was Barcodes age.......he was only 17, therefore both still in education and legally under the age of doing any scene much more than the peck on the cheek they did. Hopefully as (I assume) he will be 18 by the time season 2 is filmed they will be able to do more with the Kim and Chay dynamic. Also as they have now established Kim's place in the family, as well as Kinn and Porsches relationship, hopefully they can spend a bit more time on the other couples. Fingers crossed.
