This film is an absolutely charming interlude in a chaotic time! Thank you so much for uploading this remarkable document. The sound, light and color in this make me very nostalgic for 1975!
I wondered what year this was made. Very enjoyable. Satisfies my keen interest in owls. My first experience with owls was in 1970 when we lived in an old house that had a very high second story. The bedrooms plentiful windows faced some lofty poplars that had been planted when house was built in the 1800s. All summer long during the night we enjoyed several owls calling to one another. I’ve been hooked ever since. Delightful birds. Thank you for the post.
I learned a lot with this video. Thank you. And thanks to the McKeevers for their efforts bringing them back to health and if possible back to the wild. I heard the owls today in the forest path.

Well why don’t you replace the net with a pillowcase or some fabric that they wouldn’t get tangled in? I work with a raptor rehab facility, and we replace the netting with regular fabrics. You’re using the net to reduce stress, and getting them tangled only increases stress.
I volunteer at the owl foundation and can assure you Kay is still alive and doing relatively well for her age. She turned 91 back in October of last year. Kay doesn't have anything to do with the owl foundation anymore, though she still lives in the house at the foundation. Her son now sits at the head of directors. The owls are taken care of by 2 amazing zoologists, 2 other staff members and a network of volunteers. Feel free to like our facebook group to keep up to date with what we are currently up to =)
Their voices and tone are so comforting to listen to. What beautiful people, especially Kay 😍 May she RIP and her son carry on her legacy.
