Before anyone wonders: SpaceX / Boeing suits look sleaker because they're "only" flight pressure suits, not something you'd make a space walk with. Moon rocks are razor sharp because there is no atmosphere to blunt them down. The suit becomes an armor against all space hazards. Like a space knight armor.
Yeah, the Orion launch and landing suits are pretty comparable to those. The coloring isn't quite as futurey as on SpaceX's, but it's not like it's a fashion shoot and there *are* advantages to that bright orange.
Spacesuits are supposed to be pressurised and space is almost a perfect vacuum, however when we put something that's pressurised into a vacuum it explodes totally debunking space walks ect.
@@tjguy7169 Will a slightly inflated ball explode when placed in a very low pressure chamber? An experiment could be done. Maybe, however, the rubber inside of the ball will not be tight enough and the vacuum will suck the air out of the ball? A decent vacuum pump is needed for the experiment. wake up brother NASA has never went to the moon has never went to space the only thing they can do is launch rockets in high altitude atmosphere and put some high altitude balloons that works like satellites.
It’s best if the suits are white. White reflects the sunlight that they will encounter on a spacewalk. It helps keep the spacesuit and the astronaut cool. There’s no atmosphere when they do a spacewalk, so white is best.
Good luck. If I can be like a "boomer" (I'm 32) and give Dad advice...don't do drugs, man. Ever. If you ever have mental health issues try to get them taken care of. But don't let certain temptations get to you. Stay well.
The new suits look amazing. One thing can pretty much guarantee however is that the most efficient stride for covering lunar distances at a faster than walking pace will be a bipedal canter.
I know it was dangerous, but Apollo astronauts trying to get back up on the moon is always kind of funny, just because of how you have to move to do it.
It did. Part of that is the fact that they're what we all saw growing up whether in history books or on TV so it's what we're used to. But I like the older look better too.
Apollo-era suits weighed in at around 300 pounds, and were difficult to use. These suits look like a vast improvement. What is the weight of the modern suits?
I'm back watching this video after the recent EVA problems with water in the helmet. Of course weight is always an issue, but I'm happy just to get updated space tech in general because we've learned a lot since the original suits were made

The new suit looks like a vogon with a diaper. Pleeeeease at least make everything white, but also just, make it look better overall please please
As you can see in the video, putting on a suit is not a simple matter. Requires third party assistance. How did the Apollo participants put on and take off their suits? They had very little space and could not use assistants.
no, I don't think that they have "fast" internet. The Computers on the ISS don't directly connect to the internet like your PC would on Earth because they want to be protected from possible hacker attacks. All the data that is sent and received from the ISS is first processed and checked by a Server before it is sent to the ISS. That's why they have a relatively low bandwidth compared to many places on Earth. I also believe that they don't always have a internet connection because they depend on satellites and ground stations.

Pretty cool. Great for people who prefer solitude and loneliness. That’s who suited the best for space travel. Space travel is not just about suits but to be mentally suited for the space which is being in complete solitude

Then the angle of 45 down out on the back pack then arc back into the back of the south overall a better and safer shape.
