These astronauts are professionals. They not only accept the challenges of space flight, they enjoy it. Their families are also special and have grown to accept their ambitions that have extended through being test pilots (perhaps even more dangerous than space flight) and their extensive participation in the design and development of human space flight. I admire their dedication and achievements. As far as "being stranded"? It's like being stuck at a exclusive resort, expense free, because of a delayed return flight. Not bad....
There will be starliner parts scattered from California to New Mexico I want to know how much NASA will pay to get parts from the starliner when it burns up in the atmosphere and lands on the Earth
Astronauts can propel themselves with almost weightless ease in the orbiting space station. Are they prone to body/head injuries from collision with the multitude of installed equipment on board?
Mankind is not ready for space exploration. Period. Can't even rescue two astronauts stuck in our own orbit. Going to Mars is a suicide mission. For arguments sake, you get there and then what? You going go celebrate with family and friends at a local Tikki bar? Oh wait... You left your actual home-Earth, to go live on a lifeless rock with no oxygen, plant life, or water. Jail is an actual paradise compared to traveling to Mars and living each day as if it's your last.
The FFA needs to ban NASA for any launches till they explain why in a reasonable explanation. I guess it's because they're a government agency and they don't need any explanations on failure
The launch went fine. It was only when they were in space when everything went bad. It's also FAA, not FFA (Future Farmers of America < Federal Aviation Administration)
“Until next year… So what does this mean for the astronauts?” 1 - no Thanksgiving, no Christmas. 2 - if Starliner can return “uncrewed”, then that means Starliner never NEEDS a crew. So then why do this? Give the space frontier back to the Russians. -smh
It means their mission is extended. They will have their holidays as they have on the ISS . All vehicle traveling to the ISS can be "un-crewed". Why do this? This was supposed to be Starliner's final certification flight. IMO with this mission change, this certification is in jeopardy. The Russian and headed the other way in space exploration not being very progressive or well funded choosing to spend their money on other things.
@@Pottery4LifeYes, this. All spacecraft can go increase. The whole reason they launch them crewed is to send people to the ISS. It's not just for show or piloting (even though they do pilot a majority of it.)
🤦♂️ Even if they could have faked the Moon landing, which they couldn’t since even today the technology to fake them doesn’t exist, it would, at a minimum, have required the cooperation of every single country, university, and scientist on Earth. The fact that every single country on Earth without any exceptions says NASA successfully landed six astronauts on the Moon is just one reason why they did, in fact, happen. Even the Soviet Union congratulated NASA on the Apollo missions. In addition, non government amateur radio operators successfully picked up transmissions from the Moon made by the Apollo astronauts. And other countries, Including India, took pictures of the Apollo landing sites on the Moon. And a bit of advice. Since people who believe the Moon landings were faked are the most gullible people on Earth don’t handover your wallet when someone tells you that they’ve a wallet inspector.

Thanks for this update. Praying for Butch and Williams
Do they get paid overtime for the extended stay?
Regular pay per their contract.

She is ashamed of her name and calls herself sunita

Just like Donald Petit is called Don. They like to personalize the Astronauts to keep it friendly. Nicknames are commonly used.

its sunitha williams pronounced as (soonitha) williams...

Well if there's one thing this whole drama taught us, it's that the US never landed on the moon.
This is a joke right? you can't really believe that.

There are a lot of crazy folks on the Internet that believe even dumber things. Like flat Earth, etc. @@michaelshortland8863
