- (28 Sep 2016) Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark and his wife Crown Princess Mary were in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday as part of a weeklong visit to the US to promote Danish business opportunities and cooperation.
Crown Prince Frederik spoke at the US Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday morning and underscored the strong and historic relationship between the United States and Demark.
He also appealed to the Chamber to encourage transatlantic business partnerships between the two nations and urged American companies to consider Denmark as a potential home for international offices and headquarters.
"In the United Nations World Happiness report, we have for several years been ranked as the happiest people in the world. So we hope that more American companies will give us a serious look in the future," the prince joked.
The couple's business promotional campaign is focusing on the areas of food products, clean tech, health solutions and the maritime trade.
The United States is Denmark's third largest export market.
Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary will leave Washington for Boston on Thursday.

Frederick is the nicest guy of the entire Danish royal family. Very humble, very genuine.
He’s also a graduate of the Fromandskorpset, Denmark’s version of the SBS or US Navy SEALS. Warrior prince/future king. Soft spoken, but hard as steel. Someone who will lead his people from the front.

What a shot to their ego, when they meet a people who don't bow to them. Why would they bow to them, they escaped Europe to find freedom from their ancestor's clutches after all (I'm talking about royalty incase you missed it)
