@@akbubs And your not saying anything about his delivery or release? Oh I am from the old school who bowled with Don McCune and his kid and Rickie Sajek.
It's crazy how high his rev rate is. Never could tell with a purple hammer on TV. I bowled a couple pairs down from him in May and he was throwing reactive and I was blown away by the ball reaction. Little longer and not early, but still really continuous through his breakpoint. Also learned that he's still driving a 2000s Nissan even though he's made $500k on tour. @@mnguyen313 He has the most unorthodox release I have ever seen in my 60 years of watching bowling. My #1 question is if he was right handed would he be the bowler he is on the left side.
Old Goat, I have no doubt he’d still be a killer on the tour. Leftys don’t get a free pass to the pocket. What gives him so much miss room and such good carry is his ability to have his breakpoint be further down lane and still make it back, which gives him great entry angle. I have no doubt that with his hand, he could migrate in and keep doing that.
I remember Jakob from the 2015 PBA Viper Championship. He's really stepped up with his play right here. Very impressive. Lost in the Viper Championship, but he pulls off this 300 game 5 years later.

Nice one, Jakob. But I'm always disturbed by the commentators pronouncing his name BUTTRUFF, instead of how it's spelt, BUTTURFF. Are they right, or am I?????
Shame of it is I'm not sure that his current style will survive too far into his 30s or 40s. You really aren't supposed to over flex hypermobile joints on the regular, and he's doing it under a lot of weighted stress game after game, week after week.
Jakob chose to bowl 300 in this game just so Norm Duke's "Despracito" at 5:14 would be forever remembered in PBA history.
