      @@TravelingWhileBlack1 Vancouver is not the most diverse city in Canada. Toronto is BY FAR the most diverse city in Canada! Most Canadians (though certainly not all!) are well aware of that fact, too!

    It's funny my mom always used to ask me how many black people I saw when I travel. I liked Vancouver, I visited the suspension bridge.

    Thoroughly enjoyed this vlog. I have not been to Vancouver since the Pandemic. Favorite spots are Granville Island, GasTown, Stanley Park, YaleTown and Robson St Shopping Area. Vancouver is also a GREAT food city.

    Was Vancouver and Seattle a lot alike, but you were just in Canada?

    • @TravelingWhileBlack1
      @TravelingWhileBlack1  4 месяца назад +2

      It actually was. However, Vancouver seemed a little more upscale/big city than Seattle.

      @TravelingWhileBlack1 oh OK cool thanks! I'm a digital nomad and will be making a run in the beginning of July which includes Salt Lake City, maybe Denver, Seattle then Vancouver

      You’ll be hitting up Seattle at a great time. We have lots PNW content, let us know if you have any questions!

      @@TravelingWhileBlack1 how long was Denver? Were there a lot of black people? What's pnw content?

      @@seanivery the drive to Denver from KC is typically 9 hours.
      Denver was cool! The Black population is only 8%, but we did see diversity there. The new episode is up on our page now.
      PNW means Pacific Northwest 😊

    Gassy Jack is very anti-climactic. I wish Americans could come in and make that more interesting. I'm glad you liked the trip!

    It use to take 2 hours for me from South Tacoma back in 70 when there was no traffic.We went as 18 yr old on the weekends to GasTown to get drunk and eat at the Spaghetti Factory and sleep in the car at Stanley Park. Oh yeah No Passport just your regular driving licence.

    Hi, my husband and I are heading to Seattle next week and would like to listen to some live music at a small venue. We like jazz, neo-soul and R&B. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

      Hi!! So sorry for just now responding! West Seattle has a cool bar with karoke - JJ’s on Alki Beach. We don’t know of any others at the moment 😅.

      Yes , Dimitriou's Jazz Alley on 6th ave . It is one of the longest running Dinner & Jazz places in the country for its style.

      Did you know Quincy Jones picked up the horn at 12 years old when he was going to school in Seattle. I grew up in Tacoma and a school boy friend of mine is Robert Cray .
