I love them so much since the OG , their bond is so precious and one of the best in ALL ff saga 😌 Since 1997 Cloud and Aerith are linked by the “red thread of destiny”, a famous Japanese legend, their destiny is to meet again and again...TOO BEAUTIFUL and romantic 🥺❤️ anyway, I have positive vibes for their future in this “project remake”. I understand you why it is so for me too! I believe that the ffviir characters were characterized very well as if they were real people ... square did a great job! and in fact also for me the relationship between Cloud and Aerith is sensational! it really moved me, I got excited and in many scenes a tear fell with emotion: ') it gave me the same emotions as the OG ... and I never expected it! square took so much care and love to convey real emotions and sensations ... The ultimania stated that the reason they are fighting Cloud is for their own existence in the future.
But in the end Cloud did defeat them and this means that they should not exist in the future right ?
if there is no kadaj, loz, and Yazoo it means there will be not advent children, if there is no advent children then we need to see the reason of why advent children happened in the first place.
It is very clear to me that the cause of advent children is Cloud not being able to reunite with Aerith and suffer pain and sorrow in the process. What is your opinion about this ?
My speculation is that we can already predict the ending of the remake project and that is Cloud is going to reunite with Aerith. But in what ways ? idk, they could be both dead or lived, but nevertheless if one dies the other one will die too, if one survived the other one must survive too. So in my opinion there is a big hope that we will finally see the wedding scene that we clerith's stan have been waiting for along time, the symbol of their reunion right?

So actually my theory is much longer but here I can't write everything sorry for that, but I want you to understand this:
when Cloud and the others enter the portal ("blessed" by aerith) they find themselves defeating NUMEN, that they have the knowledge of ALL the events of the final fantasy vii original timeline (therefore ffvii og 1997 and all that comes after: come advent children and dirge of cerberus).
The numen want to defeat Cloud and his friends, to do so they "transform" into all the enemies that cloud has faced in the future, like the three brothers: kadaj, yazoo and Loz and in fact what do the three do? they turn into Bahamut which during the film AC is invoked by the three brothers.but those we are defeating are not really the three brothers, they are still the numen who turn into the future enemies of cloud and his friends , to defeat it! to prevent cloud and friends from changing the course of events.
everything returns, because are the numen who want to defeat the cloud and the others, to prevent the fate of the "canon" events (of ff7 and of the compitlation) from being altered.
BUT as we see instead, cloud and the others manage to defeat the numen, and therefore fate itself, and from here on the events that we will see in the future...will not follow the canon anymore, there will be events that remind us of the original ffvii (such as scenes, settings, places and characters) but they will have another meaning, it will be a new game experience.
and I'm very curious to see what will happen from here on out. :)
Another important aspect is Sephiroth. when cloud arrives "at the end of creation", we understand that the sephiroth we see is the true sephiroth, BUT he is not the sephiroth of the original canon of ff7, BUT it is a sephiroth of the future!
In this place, we find ourselves in front of a sephiroth who knows ALL the events that would have happened in the original canon (and the compilation)
In fact, here is the important thing to understand.
This sephiroth knows about the events that we fans of the compilation don't know! for us the compilation ends with dirge of cerberus ... but is it really so for sephiroth or better, for square enix itself?
I really don't think so. for now there's a lot we don't know !
probably there is future event, which for the moment we do not know, would have led to the destruction of Gaia and it inhabitants, which sephiroth himself wants to prevent, because if the world inevitably dies also sephiroth dies, his conscience and his will too, and he cannot allow that this happen.
As for Cloud and Aerith, they will be very important and much more developed in future games. (in particolar aerith as an ancient, her powers, ability and so on)
in case square wanted to give aerith the same fate (to satisfy the old fans of the original ff7), which I don't think after this finale and after realizing that it is a new interpretation of the seventh chapter ... however in t the end Cloud will also be reunited with her.

They are two extremely key characters in the story, and Aerith is the center of the world of Cloud ... losing her a second time would be devastating for him, I don't think he could ever recover T_T

I do believe that remake is going to end the ff7 saga for good but i still am really confident that whatever happens to cloud in the end is not gonna be the same
To make the ending as fair as possible they probably still have to kill Aerith, i know this is very unlikely and i don't want this to ever happen again cause it would devastate cloud just like you said but to make things fair and make cloud ends the journey happily they will kill cloud too and make him reunite with his love of his live
There is still a big chance that Aerith is not gonna die this time around but all we can do is hope
Regarding sephiroth, i totally agree with you that there is 2 sephiroth and that the second sephiroth is from the future. But in the final fight with him, we can totally see that he summons the meteor there so if he want the same thing to happen this time around, i don't think there is a reason for him to not just summon meteor immediately onto Midgar while everyone is not ready for it. this future sephiroth wants something else, but the way he interact with cloud made me believe that he is still up to no good. But it will definitely be cool to see sephiroth fighting other sephiroth because of their different plan.
But there is another variable that we are forgetting here, there is zack. Although i would like to believe in the community that he is alive in an alternative timeline, but i just don't know what effect he would make if he
is not even in the current timeline'
All this differences will probably affect the events from original game "greatly." What i meant by greatly is just like you said we are still going to go to the original game settings and all but the outcome is different

yes I wrote you this sentence because the final sentence tells us "the unknown journey will countinue" is a clear message for the players, this "remake project" is not FF7 OG, it is a new game and it will be a new adventure, with of course references to the original game and compilation, but a new adventure. that's all.
my advice for old fans is not to get too high expectations ... in my opinion fans should play the second game of this "remake project" as if it were an ffxvi, because in this way many people will be satisfied with it, instead those who wanted everything the same as ffvii og could be very disappointed :')

However, about the voice actors I have already answered you and as I said they have no decision power, they simply do their great job in an exceptional way and as the fans..they have their tastes too . that's all!
as for the scene under the highwind it changes according to the choice of the player. (all ff7 is like this, however the plot and the meaning of the game is clear)
1) if the player has not chosen any option to increase the level of affinity with Tifa, the night before the final battle, there is a scene where the two understand that they have been alone, that they don't have a family anymore, a home, etc ... but they understand that can count on each other in difficult times.
During the night they sleep and in the morning they return to the highwind and the others says that they have seen them from the highwind (because they decide to remain there), but Tifa has no particular reaction. (because there was nothing, the two of them just talked and slept)
2) if you choose to play in favor of Tifa, the two accept their feelings and spend the night together, probably hugging each other.
when they return to the ship, barret and the others say that they have seen them, and Tifa has an exaggerated reaction because she is a shy girl and she doesn't want that others know her feelings(probably they saw that cloud and Tifa slept close, or in any case they were embraced)
this is all left to the imagination, it is square enix who wanted this.
that's why many fans thought about "sex".

it simple just depends on how you play ff7 , whether you want to give Tifa points or not because maybe you are loyal to aerith. (like i said, it's a game where the player makes the choices)
Square enix has always joked on this point, originally they wanted to make an explicit (sex) scene between them, but as a joke and they didn't really think that many fans would have interpreted that scene in that way. Nomura has always laughed at this, just because it was all a joke to them and square enix itself.
I repeat it is final fantasy and these things are impossible for this type of game intended for a teen audience, not mature like other games.
so don't worry, it won't happen neither in the future :)
In any case, the ending does not change: cloud wants to reach the promised land to return to aerith, because it knows that she is there.

ffvii is a beautiful game and in some moments the player could make his choices, but as I wrote to you they do not affect the square enix canon. they remain to the interpretation of the fans.
the relationship between Cloud and Aerith is something transcendental, which goes beyond the boundaries of space and time and one day they will meet again.

@@bluefox728 la canzone è dal punto di vista di cloud e parla di come lui si senta vuoto, e spesato dopo gli eventi principali di ffvii, specialmente il fatto che non è riuscito a salvare aerith...è così profonda e super emotiva come canzone! infatti finisce con la frase "this time i will never let you go" perchè se ci sarà la possibilità sono certa che cloud cambierà le cose... e ho detto tutto :')
si ho letto! per ora niente ma spero che in futuro ci siano dei concerti ufficiali anche in italia! credo che tutte le ost di questo remake sono belissime, la mia preferita è "midnight rendevzous", mi mette molta dolcezza e anche nostalgia :')

Final Fantasy 7 is a tragic or sad love story between Cloud and Aerith
Aerith moved on. Zack is in the past, his death is only used as a tragic background for both Cloud and Aerith, but many people took it the wrong way.
This can't be in the canonical book, where did you read it? According to the canon, she begins to flirt with Cloud because of the external resemblance to Zack. But after a while, she realizes that they are very different, she falls in love with Cloud much more than with Zack and wants to be with him forever, if it were possible. She meets Zack in Lifestream, and realizes that she no longer has feelings for him, and that her feelings for Cloud are real and sincere . Zack offers them to be together in Lifestream , she rejects him because of her love for Cloud . This is what is written in the official books. And the fact that her love for the Cloud is much stronger , it is written not even in one, but in several official books. And nothing will change in the game. Because FF7OG is a love story of Cloud and Aerith, fans will not forgive if this doesn't happen in the remake
She can't love him more , according to all the canons ( Books and OG), her feelings for Cloud are much stronger .She even says it herself to Zack in Lifestream. And the relationship in the remake will not change , you can be one hundred percent sure of that. If you think that something has changed, just because she called his name in the park, unlike the original. I'll tell you why she said the name. So that the fans of Crisis core dont hate her character. It would be cruel to repeat the original in this scene, after Crisis Core, where people liked Zack and Aerith.

I don't see the developers, choosing this route, I wouldn't trust Nomura to actually give Aerith and Cloud a happy ending, it will be a tragic love story as it was in the original unfortunately.
