Grubby, I know this is a comment you get pretty often, but you've reignited this father of 3s love for wc3. I downloaded it on an old laptop my wife and I use for work, and have been absolutely smothering some easy AI. I have also forced some warcraft lore videos on her from youtube, which she happened to actually get in to. 😅 Love the uploads, keep em comin' Grubbs.
ive been so tempted to DL it again and try to work through some campaigns and work on the micro like the grubster
i also play custom games again. did that on my brothers pc 15+ years ago...
its actually crazy how many maps are out there which could be a game on its own. just like dota

This here is an accurate depiction of humans before the time of the paladins. In lore, it was priests who trained for combat to become the first paladins, to be able to better combat the Horde and its dreaded Death Knights. :D
I don't get opponents who fail to understand how unit counters work. Heavy melee units are the worst choice against this, as they take extra magic damage. Mass wind riders on the other hand would make quick work of the priests.
i mean, orc could've gone raider-catapult too, if you wanna counter cheese the cheeser.
Grubby wasn't playing in a very high MMR, most of the players probably haven't even memorize the damage/armor types interactions yet
And he is definitely not prepared to face mass priests.

I used to debate this with my long dead best friend back when we were kids. We laughed a lot at the sheer impossibility of it all within the theoretical scope... the absurdly bad stats... makes this all the more amazing to behold. I hope he's watching this from beyond.

I usually only give your videos a Like (and not all of your videos, some lack a kind of energy in them, hard to explain), but because of this great theme, me being an ex-christian, I put in on my Favorites List too! Thank you! I have tried only Priests in 4v4 and it kinda worked.

Unfortunately it doesn’t work, priest healing does not stack, more priests just means you can heal (and support) more units faster
@@MaryamMaqdisi Not only that, the Heal spell (both Priest and Creep) puts a neutral buff of duration equal to the cooldown to make the target unit be not a valid target until the cooldown has expired, to keep Heal units from attempting to stack their Heals. Not sure if it works perfectly, but at least it works to a considerable extent.
The correct move would have been switching to Headhunters since Priests are weak to piercing damage (unless I am misremembering), the Tauren and Raiders being weak to magic attack really made it not nearly as cost effective to keep producing them one at a time.

Your opponent built units that are countered by mass priests. He should have switched to head hunters and demolishers when he realised you were going mass priests.
next strat i d like : "the orc ecologist - You must rush to pillage upgrade. You can mine gold only until pillage upgrade (industrial age) but then you can only pillage to get gold (recycle age). Wood can be used until the end since it is a renewable ressource"

hey Grubby, I've always liked the idea of wc3 but im put off by the amount of keybinds you have to know to operate a race somewhat efficiently. Do you have any advice?
I recommend to look up the "grid-layout". It means that the hotkeys position match the position of the abilities icon on the interface. This way you don't really have to memorize all abilties' hotkey and can just "look them up" while you are playing.
I used to have a copy-paste for this (Keycraft) but it stopped working and so I just only played 4v4 (I was a pure random race player). Would possibly play again if I could figure out how to get grid keys back it was the best
@@macsenhayes The "war3champions"-launcher has a hotkey-configurator that works similarly to how it works in StarCraft Remastered. I used it to set up the grid-layout.

The Priests are kind of like SC marines except their ability heals people and you really have to kite them backwards

I see you do so many different types of challenges, but what I don’t get coming from StarCraft is WC3’s seemingly non-importance of atk & def upgrades. In SC2, if there were two identical armies, one would lose hard if it was behind even a single upgrade which doesn’t seem to be the case in WC3. Could you do a challenge with few, very strong units with 3/3 and their abilities. The “A Team” challenge as it were
