@@AKAten4 That's soo wonderful to hear. Bob Marley says one good thing about music, when it hits you feel no pain. There's a healing element to his songs, it certainly brings me out of a funk. The man was literally proclaiming the word through song. It meant something as he raised his hand toward the audience. Each time was a proclamation and a prophecy. It has come to pass. Been vibin with bob since I was given a Bob Marley shirt as a 11 year old kid at the Del Mar Fair. I met a woman who saw Bob on tour in the 1970s and she gave me more explanation on the cultural and prophetic value of him and his music. I was so intrigued and asked her so many questions about the music and Bob that she bought me a shirt and a cassette tape of Uprising from the Rasta shop at the fair. Since then I have been a huge fan and his lyrics on oppression and racism still speak true in 2023. I often wish we had his input on all the trials and tribulations the people of earth are facing today. RIP Bob

he was a really "bad guy" imagine he just invited the two competitioning parties on jamaica AFTER there was a major assassination on his life AT home! "from armed gunmen" but everyknow did know back then: this assissins were sponsored (at least) from one of this parties
imagine, he "forced" them (with his show and his words AND his invitation) to come on stage and put their hands together, while HE KNEW one of them or both was very interested to have him not living anymore... (!!!!!!!!)

Just a monumental song. It makes other songs look amateur. Only the strongest can sing really it. Cuts across race, religion, humanity. Sinead sang it and changed the world for victims of Catholic church. I love the line 'rumors of war'..so brilliant. It is not just the brutality of a real war but the threat of war used as fear and control across globe. Amazing forever, Bob

Medicinal music to heal the nation. Bob Marley was a prophet and his message lives on. I wrote papers on him in school and he was truly an extraordinary person in life and legend in death. He was a global superstar whose music spread like wildfire across every continent with its message a love, justice, and equality. Stardom never got to his head though and his mission never changed.
