The Kyrgyz people are proud of their athletes. Including Bekboosun, who is also disabled with cerebral palsy.
The question of respect began with Vakhtang's screams at the very beginning of the match. Perhaps this is a way to put pressure on the opponent, but it may also be his normal behavior. Also, probably because of the screams, Vakhtang took the gold, because he actively expressed all his anger with his voice.
Bekboosun did not expect such screams from his opponent. He fell into emotional turmoil from confusion. That the coach shouted "get together" at the fight. The first, basic reaction of a Kyrgyz athlete in such a situation is a smile. Also, the coach confirms that Bekboosun smiles in any incomprehensible situation.
There was an emotional duel before the physical one, where Vakhtang won with emotional screams. And Bekboosun was not ready for such a turn of events, and reacted with a maximum smile. Then rejected a hand shake based on his emotions. After couple of minutes he offers a handshake back to Vakhtang, but Vakhtang refuses.
It is easy to throw mud at another person, culture, country and put everything in the right light without carefully checking how things really were.

Don't say Vakhtang won because of screaming...They clashed 2 times... in the first match vakhtang won and he didn't scream at him in the beginning...when they clashed for second time vakhtang screamed at the beginning but both of their hands slipped and took their time to clash again and vakhtang won...beeksbosun showed aggressive behaviour towards another opponent called tornike before this one....

you failed to mention that his opponent is disabled too.
Huge misinformation. The other guy is also disabled. All of the competitors are disabled. The other guy's disability messes his ability to express his emotions and behaviour and even walking ability. I hate that we damning the guy cause it makes for a better story and more likes they are both heros. The man who loses has issues walking to the podium, and I am proud he does so.
I knew a man that frequent the store I ran for years, and not only did that man look to have the same disability, but looked like they could be brothers. That man gave me more insight to daily courage than any other regular man for a lack of a better word. That man drove, had a family, kids, and I knew what he wanted because I cared to understand what he was fighting his muscles to try to convey. Reminds me of the book, MY LEFT FOOT, where the body and mind are not harmonious. Solute to dude, for the daily struggle is real, none the less a championship that matters little in what actually really matters
They both are disabled but what i personally think the other one lacked sportsmanship but hes also disabled so i respect his passion for armwrestling after being disabled.
