I've been having a reading slump, too, but I did finish The Three-Body Problem (Remembrance of Earth's Past) trilogy. This trilogy took a lot out of me. My son played video games when he was a kid, but I can't see myself doing that. Now that it's September I usually get the itch to sew but it's too hot (I live in Southern California). Beginning this week for at least a week the temps will be high, so I'll be reading. I tried to read short stories by Thomas Ligotti, but I had to DNF due to the extremely depressing nature of his writing, but I'm now reading the stories about Solomon Kane by Robert E. Howard. These stories are fun and full of heroism and action, so I'm happy now.
Krueger is a heck of a writer, so I look forward to your thoughts. As for not getting much reading done, that's totally fine! I think if you go too hard on reading just after a slump you could end up just leaving a sour taste.
